We came to Brown County for a weeks vacation with our extended family. Part of the week was to do some boating on Lake Monroe with our boat. On Wednesday, we put in at the boat ramp not knowing it was very shallow Within 2 minutes, we damaged the prop; breaking off one fin. We stopped at the first marine repair shop by the lake which was Outback. We explained our delemma and the owner quickly checked his stock of props but didn’t have our size. I thought that was going to be the end of boating this vacation. But he checked on line and was able to order the part for delivery next morning. We took his card and left the boat. Next morning we called and by 11:30 the prop was on but when he checked we had no water moving through the engine. We went over and he started eliminating the possibilities until he discovered the 25 year old thermostat had dirt in it from the mud we stirred up yesterday. He removed it and sent us on our way. We could replace that part later. So now you’re thinking: bet it cost a lot for this work. Well not at all. He installed the prop for the cost of the part and we needed another part the next day plus the time to find the water problem was slightly over $ 100.00. That’s more than fair all the way around. If you live in the lake Monroe area you are very lucky to have a fair, honest, dependable, and friendly marine repair shop in your area. If you are visiting and need help knowing that you have a business that will treat you like a regular customer and if possible save the boating fun of your vacation Thank you Rick and your staff for all you did for us!!!
