For the price, Persimmon Inn is tough to beat. The rooms are clean, the free off-street parking is nice, and the location is perfect for walking to the downtown and Kirkwood business establishments. My wife and I stayed in the Paw Paw room. The bed was large, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. In one of the nightstands we found a phone charger with both Apple and Android connectivity. The bathroom was also spacious, but more important, was off slightly from the bedroom. This is a minor detail, but perfect for shy poopers like myself. A claw foot bathtub was a nice surprise, as were the shampoo/conditioner bars and homemade bar soaps. We had two very small issues. First, check-in was tricky with the front door locked and seemingly no one around. This was quickly corrected as the owners live just around the corner, and were already on their way over to let us in. Next, the breakfast was a hodge podge of organic food items. Bananas, yogurts, bagels, cereal, hard-boiled eggs, toast, etc. This may sound wonderful, but when staying at a Bed & Breakfast, I expect two things to be extraordinary: The bed. And the breakfast. Overall, our experience was above average, and we would recommend the Persimmon Inn to anyone. It is beautiful and quaint, and has the charm to keep guests returning with regularity.

This place is incredibly cozy and run by very nice people! They were incredibly accommodating to my strange schedule(I was in town for work). The amenities were luxurious but the stay was reasonably priced. And it’s walking distance from the Irish Lion! Definitely recommend this place!
