I come here all the time! I’ve gotten regular manicures, pedicures, waxing, and facials here — everything has been stellar. Everything is clean and sterilized from what I have seen in my ~2 years of coming here. I’m not the type of person who enjoys talking with the tech when I’m getting a pedicure or manicure done, so I appreciate how the workers here get that. I have had one bad experience here with acrylic nails — I think my tech didn’t have much experience, but she did paint on the acrylic too thick. All in all though, I love this place!

Terrible customer service, sanitation issues, over-priced, uses cheap/no-name lotions, mixes opi gel base/top coat and cnd colors. Shellac chips off after 2 – 3 days every time.

Love this place. We didn’t have appointments but the girl at the front desk jumped in & did my nails. I got a three coat shellac & full mani for $ 28. She did a great job! Lasted 3 weeks! The tech was nice & easy to communicate with. And they had a huge selection of shellac colors! I will be going back.

While visiting family in Bloomington, I decided to get a pedicure with my sister-in-law. I couldn’t turn down a $ 25 pedi! PROS: Staff is friendly. Decent supply of nail polish colors by Essie, OPI, etc. Good massage chairs. Sanitary toe-spreaders(got brand new ones sealed in wrapping). Took their time(if you can do that) with a great leg massage and foot treatment. Pedi looked great when I was done. CONS:(Sadly more of these than PROS). Dirty, dusty establishment — this was probably my biggest complaint. And I mean DIRTY! Toenail clippings on the floor. Lukewarm, tepid water in the foot bath. Staff talked sooo loud to each other … not relaxing to listen to. I watched the girl next to me ‘clean’ the foot basin … which was 1 squirt of windex. SOOO not sanitary! I tried not to look at the tools and such that were at my station, but they also looked really nasty. Overall, my pedicure came out great. But my feet have an annoying itch a few days later. I’m hoping it’s not from this place! I don’t know if I’d go back when I’m in town. I may search for some other options. Hopefully they can clean up their establishment … they’d get good business if they did.

Do not waste your time going. The staff isn’t very friendly. Don’t talk to you only to each other. Got a shellac manivure and my cuticles were bleeding when I left from her picking at it. Will not go back. The tools are not sterilized either like at other salon’s.

I have to review Solace Salon after reading the previous negative review. That person’s experience was definitely a fluke, unfortunately. I have been to Solace more than a dozen times in the last 6 or so months. I generally get a pedicure & manicure, sometimes just a pedi. I have 2 favorite techs that I request each time. Recently, their business has really increased and so it’s certainly wise to make an appointment. Every so often they can accommodate a walk-in. Their services are extremely well done — the best I have experienced in the area. I am a perfectionist and so are their techs! Friendly, kind, and extremely talented. The foot massage is the best! The salon is clean, well decorated, has great music, and relaxing atmosphere. Definitely go there if you haven’t yet. It’s the only salon I will go to for manis-pedis. I have already booked the salon for my bridal party for my wedding in October. Keep up the great work, Solace!

Went there for the first time because I saw a coupon on Facebook — $ 20 Pedicure. I made an appointment at 5:15 knowing that I had to leave at 6:20 at the latest. When I got there, they told me it would be a few minutes. After waiting 15 minutes(now it’s 5:30) they sit me in a chair and let me feet soak. I then soak for another 15 minutes(it’s now 5:45) NO one has come to start on me and no one has said when they will start on me or when I will have someone working on me. I leave without a pedicure and nothing more than an apology. I made an appointment because I was on a tight schedule, I would expect to wait if I was a walk-in, but come on! This happened to me at another salon here in town and they told me as soon as I walked in that they were over booked and it would probably be at least a 30 minute wait. I told them I could not wait, so they gave me a gift card for a free pedi — now THAT is customer service. Needless to say, I won’t be returning to Solace.

I got a manicure and normal polish job done here three days ago and my nails still look perfect. I also got a brow wax and it was the best I’ve ever gotten. The woman who worked on me was very attentive and meticulous — she took her time and it shows. The salon’s atmosphere was very peaceful — I appreciated the calming music and the fact that the employees weren’t too chatty. The young owner was very cheerful and welcoming. The prices were very reasonable too! I will be coming here from now on.
