Steak ‘n Shake

I think this is my wife’s favorite place to eat, especially since we don’t have one in our area. I had the Super Chili Mac. My wife had the double burger. Both were very good, but the high point of the meal was the caramel turtle nut milkshake. Out of this world! !

Only eaten here twice and carry out once but it’s always been a great experience for us. Servers were kind and helpful.

Everytime I come in here it blows my mind how they can serve so many meals for under $ 4. There is enough variety for everyone, and even if you need a bigger portion, you’ll spend maybe an additional dollar or two. A sitdown meal for $ 8 or $ 9 total with everything is crazy!
I like the style of burger they make here. No, it’s not going to be huge, but they’re definitely tasty enough to make a fan of me.
The service is pretty fast from beginning to end, which I really like, but I never felt rushed, even when they’re slammed at lunchtime.
It’s fast food in a sitdown restaurant, so if that’s what you want this is the place to be!

Was sat immediately. Our server, obviously a new hire, was easily distracted… to the point that when she asked for my order, she then started looking at something that was going on behind the counter so I waited until she looked at me again to tell her what I wanted. Of course, she got the order wrong when it came out of the kitchen nearly ONE HOUR later. We ordered mac and cheese for our 2 y.o. grandson and it looked like it had been sitting under the heat lamp for the entire day. Our shakes were ordered to go… they came out before our meal. In fact, they came out so soon that I finished mine before anything else came out. Bad experience.

I love the sliders. The one with A1 sauce is the best. The fries are good. They don’t need extra salt. The service here is great. They are so friendly and on a Friday night it was not too crowded.

Love the thin, crispy burgers! Fries are addicting too. Clean, friendly, fast & inexpensive. Tried the mushroom & swiss burger (double without the swiss) once and it was juicy, and tasted more like a steak burger. The family loves the milkshakes and are always trying new flavors. I love the Oreo ice cream sandwiches, which I buy to take home.

Chain burger joint. Great burgers and shakes. Not sure a review is required…

I’ve had a few magical experiences with a cheeseburger from here. If you haven’t had a cheeseburger you must stop and try. they have a few 4 dollar special with compete with mcdonalds prices. I don’t know why anybody would go to mcdonald’s if there’s a steak and shake in the same town.

I went there at 1:30am and ordered the steak shooters, eight of them with different sauces. I have never tried to eat anything so awful in years. They were obviously microwaved and the sauces (chipotle, A-​1, BBQ, ketchup and onions) all tasted like plain olé ketchup. The grease content was revolting. I felt nauseous after eating just a few bites and threw the rest in the trash. I only write reviews on Unilocal when a place is extraordinarily good or horribly bad. This experience was one of the worst ever.

I’ve reviewed other Steak N Shakes… i just wanted to be able to check in to this one… Order a milkshake.

Did you know that Steak n Shake was founded in #Blono? Not this location but kudos to SnS for it’s consistency here and across the country.
Order Chili fully loaded (cheese and raw onions) and encourage those you are with to eat it as well so you can all have onion breath together.
If you don’t order a milkshake I won’t let you be my Unilocal friend. I prefer the side by side Chocolate and White Chocolate (only available around Jesus’ birthday) or the Cookies n Cream.
Luv the skinny fries, I eat ‘em all. And you can’t go wrong with any of the burgers. The spicy chipotle is great. It’s not spicy though, just flavorful.
I always gorge myself because I can’t say no to your sides!!!
