Meh. Had curry chicken and beef mei fun — the meat was odd, maybe soy based«meat substitute». Wish we enjoyed this place more. It’s right beside our regular grocery store. Kroger’s feeding stations are better.

This place I enjoyed because they have fast food and all my favorites, including crab rangoons and even Pad Thai! Their Pad Thai is the kind I’m used to and love: made quickly, thrown crunched peanuts on top, and piping hot. I also enjoy how the people who work here work together fluently and like they enjoy what they are doing.

Visited Sunny Palace because our usual Chinese place was closed. Admittedly this was a bit late on a Monday night, but it was EMPTY. Seriously empty as in we are the only people in the place. It’s a standard strip mall location, basic tables and chairs and must do the majority of its business from carryout, though we saw only 3 orders leave the restaurant while we were there. Family of four(2 adults and 2 kids) who love Chinese food, didn’t expect a kids menu but we were surprised that the portions came in only one size, and since we couldn’t agree on anything we had four adult meals. Plenty of leftovers at least! Food was good — standard Chinese fare in this type of restaurant. We don’t love most buffets so were happy this place had menu service instead(no buffet option). Wife had chicken and broccoli, which she liked. Daughter had sweet & sour chicken, pretty good though nothing to write home about. Son had chicken fried rice which was good. And for once, I had the best meal at the table with the General Tso’s chicken. It was fabulous. Very spicy, just the right amount of sauce, and the broccoli was steamed and presentation was great. It stood out and I would go back for this, albeit in a to-go order. The odd part of the experience was the empty restaurant and hovering service. The two employees working out front both stood a few feet away and basically stared at us while we ate. One was new, the other helping. But it was an odd feeling throughout the meal to have them lurking. And not in a ‘5-star restaurant always hovering to help you out’ kind of way. It was a bit strange to say the least. Overall, we would repeat. But in carryout mode. The food was good, the price was reasonable. Just didn’t love the dine-in experience.

One place where I eat Chinese dish, they have lower price compared to other Chinese restaurants and I love their drinks which I always order back in China, their waitress are very friendly, foods are good too, especially some seasoned veggies, I love their steamed fish which is favorable and fresh^^

The service was really bad. However, I love their black bean pork ribs, and other dishes I’ve tried are so so.

We had hot pot($ 65 for three people). We had half spicy, half chicken soup base — both were good and had a deep flavor. The add ins — meat, tofu, vegetables were expensive, but they came in large portions. On the way out I got basil shrimp fried rice to go($ 9). Nothing special here — they used dried basil. If you don’t have $ 60 to spend on hot pot, I would suggest going somewhere else. Our server was really weird — seemed like she was on something(drowsy, lethargic) and a little catty /borderline disrespectful towards one in our group.

We used to get takeout from Sunny Palace a lot – the servers weren’t super friendly but the food was good, and it was close to where we lived at the time. But the price went up, and it seemed like when that happened the portions got smaller and the quality went way, way down. Maybe they’re under new management or something? Either way we quit ordering from here.

I was not satisfied with the pricing and the quality and quantity of food. We had ordered Shrimp and Chicken Fried Rice(Large) and the Chicken fried rice not even average. Shrimp Fried rice was better than Chicken fried rice. Will never order again.

Out of the 5 dishes, I think there was only 1 dish that didn’t make me drink gallons of water. I think it’s just a bit too salty for my taste.

It is an okay place for Chinese food. It is not easy to guess where the chef is from. For some dishes have some north-china flavor, but others are like some Hong Kong food. For the spicy dishes, just one is enough. Not because they are spicy, but they have exactly the same flavor… The only difference is the meat in it… Don’t order boiled fish, it sucks, it is not boiled fish at all, and the size is extremely small. I liked it when I first went there. But after 2 – 3 times, I just found that many dishes are in the same flavor…

It is one of the 3 – 4 places that serve somewhat«real» chinese food in Bloomington. We had hotpot beef, duck slices with green pepper and onion, and stir-fried eggplants. The portion sizes are relatively smaller that Lucky Express, and the prices are steep(but that’s the case for almost all of the asian places here, I guess they really try to rip off their own folks, or rather, the local white people. I would go back, just for the lack of other choices.

Great Pad Thai and veggie dumpling. This my fiancé and I’ s default Chinese restaurant. Great location and friendly staff for take — out. My only dislike is that the spicy items are not that spicy. Still Delicious!
