I’ve always shopped at TJ Maxx. I recently applied for the store card to save $ 35. I thought it was weird not to have it taken of immediately. Then I noticed my credit score of 760 dropped 22 points! I could figure out why .I just received a letter today, Turns out I was denied. Reason: incomplete application!
You might think it’s harmless signing up for store cards, but does it really make sense to let a girl behind the counter fill out your application !
I talked to both the store manager and Synchrony Bank. It seems I’m just out of 35 dollars and 22 points!

If you are looking for affordable clothes for work in a business casual environment, then this is the place to go. I routinely am able to find business casual dress shirts and sweaters for $ 20 or less here on a regular basis. You may be shopping the clothing racks next to someone who is twenty years older or younger than you, but it all ends up working out because TJ Maxx has plenty of classic styles in solid colors that will please a wide range of people. And if you want that shirt that looks a little too crazy and colorful to wear to work, it will still be on the rack waiting for you, because it definitely won’t be in my shopping cart.
You can try on something like ~8−10 items on in the dressing room at a time, so feel free to shop till your arms are full. Or even better, grab one of their cute, smallish shopping carts to hold your stuff. Carrying around all those bargains before you hit the check out line can get kind of tiring!

Stopped in T J Maxx on a whim. In the past, I have found power tool accessories on clearance there. I was excited to find something I have been looking for for a while: retractable ear-​buds. My only complaint is their checkout line is looooooooooooong.
