Recent visit to Tobin’s was disappointing. Arrived and was seated immediately. After that it took 60 minutes to receive our two 10 inch pizzas. Waited about 10 minutes before we had a server stop at our table and then she informed us she was not our server but would get us our drinks. Server then came by and apologized for delay. She had a large group that was keeping her busy. Salads came to table in about 5 minutes. Then waited another 30 minutes with no food. We had to ask the manager if we were going to be served. The server never came by even to check our drinks, or update us on why so long to get 2 small pizzas. Every table around us had turned over and the new customers had already received their food. Finally server and manager arrive with pizza. It has now been one hour since being seated. They don’t apologize for the delay and give us some excuse that the pizza had been mixed up with the server’s other large group. The server offered to pay our bill herself. The manager did not offer any apology. When we told him that this happens to us often at Tobin’s he began arguing with us and told us that he disagreed with our past service experience. I did not think it was the servers responsibility to pay for our food and we declined her offer. But the manager was definitely doing nothing to keep his customers happy. Tobin’s has average quality food(pizza and other menu choices). I won’t say that I will never return to Tobin’s, but they will be one of my last restaurant choices in future. There are better places to go for pizza or fried chicken.

Haven’t even got my pizza delivered yet but i will say after I ordered on the phone and I hear Harold in the back round with the new gal on the phone ask for instructions about the paper plates he tells her to tell me it’s 1.85 for each Parmesan and 1.85 for each crushed red pepper. I asked why would it be so much. The pizza is 12 bucks and I’m paying 33% of it in crushed red pepper!!! That’s just stupid. She politely tells me she understands my concern. lol. Well it’s a really big cup he says. Hey Harold… If you think people aren’t catching on to what your doing your a fool. Don’t give so much Einstein. Your only hurting your delivery drivers tips. But hey… clearly u care more about gouging for your bottom line and less about your repeat customers. Even if it’s the best pizza I’ve ever had. Sour taste from the start. Just charge an extra dollar a pizza and forgo the gouge for Parmesan and red pepper. Have you ever been charged for ketchup when u order a burger? Or charged for a knife when u order a steak.

All over the place. Not really warm and welcoming. Waitress was fabulous but there is a disconnect between ownership and service. Seems like the full time LINECOOK is complacent and lazy. Ordered a side salad and asked for some pepperoncini’s but somehow that was too difficult to add to a simple side salad. Waitresses walked out of the swinging doors with a strut of frustration easily laid to someone tossing dough with no reasonable thoughts of effort. Nickle’d and dimed all over. No real value. My name is Tobin; looked forward to posting great Facebook reviews based on my name and can say I won’t be back. Even if offered, my opinion would be stop at the local Kroger for a frozen pizza rather than deal with the arrogance of someone who thinks effort stopped 15 years ago.

Love their fried chicken! We have not ate at the restaurant. It’s mostly delivery that we order. But it’s fairly timed and we like the food. It’s weird that they ask or make u wait depending on what pizza place you want to order. but still good.

Love Tobins! Very rarely visit Bloomington without grabbing a Hawaiian pizza and a extra cheese for the kids! This place is a family favorite! If your dinning in dont expect a whole lot. The decore has not changed since I was a kid(now 50). Same shag carpet on walls with pictures of the past.

Great Pizza! I ordered delivery and it came within the quoted time. Prices are a little high but you get what you pay for.

Good pizza. Proud to day this is made right here in blo-no. Lived here all my life and always remember going to Tobbins weird entrance for carry out and the smell of pizza(and grease) cooking. The only thing stopping me from going to 5 is the price is high.

Our go to pizza place. Consistently good thin crust pizza that is crispy throughout the pizza and seasoned nicely. Service has always been very good so I’m not sure what others are complaining about. Tobins has alot of home town charm and I wish we had more local pizza joints like these.

I have ordered the thin crust pizza(with sausage) many times since my original review and they have all been excellent! So far I think Tobin’s has the best thin crust pizza in «Blo/No»!

After moving away from Illinois a year ago, Tobin’s Pizza wins for best thin crust pizza anywhere!

As a former Bloomington-Normal, resident, I haven’t been able to find anything in my current neighborhood of Orange County, CA that quite does it like Tobin’s Pizza. Whenever I find myself back in Central IL, I always make sure there is enough time for at least one visit to Tobin’s. Good atmosphere, Great Service, Fantastic food. Everything on their menu including my personal favorite, The Momma Teresa’s Pan Pizza, will satisfy and have you coming back for more. Truly a top notch restaurant. Whether you’re a local, student, or just passing through, make it a point to quench your hunger at the best eatery in Central IL. and a bonus — Cherry RC Cola on tap! =D Can’t wait for my next trip to Tobin’s!

Pizza, you can’t do it wrong. It amazes me how many places in the area do pizza wrong. Tobins, however, does not disappoint! I have both dined in and carried out. Dining in, you are in an interesting atmosphere that reminds you of Christmas(not a bad thing) with very nice servers! Delivery is prompt! There isn’t much else to say but if you’re looking for pizza at a good price that doesn’t taste like the cheese is sad, then get your pizza from Tobins!

There’s not enough family businesses like this one still around. It’s really awesome to consider the generations that have gone through this place. And one step into the dining room and you’ll see photographic evidence of that plastered on the walls. The pizza is a solid thin crust pie. I’m not a fan of the deep dish which I firmly believe is such a delicate process fewer places should try it. But you can’t go wrong with a thin crust pizza and that«cracker“crust. They’ll bring BBQ sauce out and yes, it’s for the pizza regardless of toppings. The sides leave a lot to be desired … salads are subpar, soda is RC not Coke or Pepsi, etc. But look, at the end of the day you’re there for the famous thin crust and the nostalgia.

I’m typically not a fan of thin crust pizza, but Tobin’s does it right! We’ve always ordered via delivery and it’s always efficient. Fresh ingredients and good cheese to sauce ratio. Ordered their wings for the first time last night and I would also recommend those!

Good but not great pan pizza. Other reviewers have said steer away from dining in however, I didn’t find it bad at all. Pizza was a bit salty for my taste but I would be willing to try their thin crust as well. Beats any local chain.

Tobin’s is a solid pizza place. It’s a bit confusing because they have 3 different styles of pizza, each named like it’s own pizza place. Tobin’s pizza is thin crust, and it’s a good pizza, but nothing super fancy. Momma Teresa’s is where the real difference is. It’s deep dish style and excellent. The crust has good flavor. It actually doesn’t have sauce, rather, tomatoes are put on top. Tobin’s is in an older building and is rather crowded inside. The parking lot is also very small and gets full quickly. Overall, it’s a good place to go for some good pizza.

The pizza was excellently cooked! The pizza did not have to much sauce and was not greasy. The service was fast and friendly! The only downside about eating inside the restaurant is that it is in desperate need of a face lift. There are Christmas lights surrounding severally pictures that seems very dated and tacky. The overall ambience is consistently dated, dark, and boring. Fortunately the service and the quality of food more than makes up for it. I will be recommending Tobins to everyone, but I hope to see a remodel done soon.

BESTPIZZAINTOWN, PERIOD! Lived here my whole life and sadly this is my first time trying Tobin’s! Lucky for me I stopped wasting time! The perfect amount of toppings combined with a delicious sauce on an amazing thin crust that is crisped to perfection!!! Defiantly moved to my #1 spot!!!
