So I have done dine in at this place and had delivery. Let’s starts off by saying the food is great … Especially their cheesy bread. Not sure if anyone remembers Mad Mushrooms cheese bread but it’s identical to that and it’s amazing. And it comes with dipping sauce … You must try them all, especially the Alfredo ! While I’ll admit this place is a little outta the way, we decided to go one night when they had live music, which makes a pizza dinner seem more enjoyable. The service was great ! Atmosphere was a little hectic but overall really enjoyed it. Now about this DELIVERY system they have going on … Unreal. We were told it would be delivered in 30 min … Cool … Until an hour passed and we had to call and check on our order. The girl in the phone said«sorry …Our driver just left, its on its way» another 45 min later our pizza did arrive. Cold. I don’t know if they take a few orders and then deliver them all at one time(since they are a bit out of the way) but done say 30 min when it will be 2 hours … And on top of that don’t send cold pizza. FOODISGREAT, dining great … Delivery … A BIGNOGO !

Ordered a pizza and some breadsticks from here with a friend, using Mr. Delivery. Pizza came 2 hours late, cold. The employees on the phone were nice enough, but the pizza itself was definitely not worth the wait.

Although it is a ways from downtown Bloomington, the pizza is totally worth the drive at least once. I went on a Friday evening and was so pleased to enjoy the live music. This night was particularly busy so it took a while for us to be seated when there were open tables, water was not given to us until we asked twice, and salads came out after our pizza. However, that pizza(Lady Marmalade) was to die for with that unique flavor profile of sweet onion, tangy balsamic, and creamy goat cheese. I feel confident that service would have been impeccable if it was not as occupied as it was then.

Lady Marmalade pizza was fantastic! Can’t wait to get it again. Or maybe will have to try another signature pizza

Don’t be fooled by location, seemingly in the middle of nowhere. It’s only 15 minutes away. The pizza toppings are creative and unique. Before we moved to Bloomington, we would hit Napolese in Indianapolis because they offered unusual ingredients, not just the same toppings that you typically find at a gazillion other pizza joints. We’ve been four or five times now and tried a different pizza each time and we’re having a hard time deciding on a favorite. Their Caprese salad plate is a great appetizer to try. The beer selection isn’t vast, but it is as unique as the toppings they offer, always a nice variety of good brews.

If you would like to wait 85 years to pay, please go! Have been here for two hours, trapped in hell, will never come back.

This review is regarding the new Trailhead Pizza location in downtown Bloomington. When I heard about it I was excited! We had lived on the East side and Trailhead was our favorite pizza, but we had just moved out of their delivery area. I would have given the original location 4 or 5 stars– good pizza, friendly service. Meanwhile, the new location downtown is different, and pretty bad. :(:(We ordered from them on their first night. The pizza took about two hours to get to us and was quite greasy, they didn’t include our sauces, and the breadsticks and crust had a weird, frozen taste and texture.(And it was all pretty cold, since it had taken two hours to get to us.) We thought since it was their first night it might just be a mishap, so we ordered again at a later date; the pizza was slightly better, but very greasy, and had that weird frozen taste. We had ordered cinnamon sticks and they were good, with pretty decent icing and without so much of the frozen taste. But none of it really seemed enough to justify the price. Well, we got optimistic, I guess, and decided to order one more time. This time it was just awful! The pizza was extremely, extremely greasy and kind of gross, and it had almost no sauce on it – the little sauce it did have had an odd, sharp taste. The crust still had that chewy, frozen taste and texture, as did the cinnamon sticks, which didn’t have a lot of cinnamon-sugar topping on them. The weirdest thing about this meal though was the icing, which was as thin as water and tasted HORRIBLE, like milk that had gone bad. It seemed like they had run out of icing and instead of making more someone had poured a bunch of sour milk and water in what was left and hoped for the best. We didn’t eat that at all. We both felt kind of ill after we ate, maybe from all the grease, and had a lot of leftover food we ended up throwing away. After tip, we paid over thirty bucks for a large one-topping pizza and a small order of cinnamon sticks. We could have ordered from a national chain and had significantly better quality and taste for half the price. I honestly wanted my money back, and I really wish I had tried to get it. Very disappointing :(

Shhhh. It’s a secret! Trailhead is a hidden gem just outside of Bloomington. Pros — Friendly service. — Create your own calzone was awesome. The ingredients are fresh, and the right ratio of bread to filling. — Love the small market attached to the restaurant. Homemade apple butter, soaps, etc. — Nice menu choices and unique setting if you’re looking to switch up your normal date night spots. Cons — The décor is not good. I love some of the rustic touches, but there is a huge leather couch taking up most of the dining space near the music stage that is covered with a blanket to hide something(ick). They would be smart to get rid of it altogether and add more seating or expand the bar. Even if Trailhead is geared toward lake go-ers, I would not sit on that couch even in my lake clothes. Sorry. — Friday night music while we were there was way too loud and I am a 20-something who enjoys live music. I am all for local artists playing during a meal, but the restaurant is so small that the amp needs to be turned down. Also, I wish they had a little more discretion in choosing the artists. The guy who was playing on piano may have well been doing karaōke. — For the most part the restaurant offers family style seating – shared picnic table spaces. This can be charming, but a little unexpected.

I choose this place based on the high Unilocal rating but was SHOCKED to find out just how terrible it really was. We arrived around lunch time on a Sunday we were greeted by a very warm waitress who directed us to our seats, 10 minutes after ordering the restaurant was turned into a bible study with about 25 members of some local church, to add even more tension the staff changed the radio station to something religious to appease the other guests. I found this to be incredibly rude. I am not religious and do not enjoy bible with my pizza. Now getting to the actual pizza, I ordered the trailblazing brisket pizza and the cheesesticks. The menu painted the picture of a delicious, gooey pie loaded with bbq beef brisket and smoked gouda cheese what I got however was far from that. The cheese was definitely not Gouda the meat was some gray mystery meat and the sauce was almost non existent and I paid 32.00 for something I wouldn’t feed to my pets. Avoid this place!!!

Very good pizza and the salads are awesome! Excellent service. Many specialty pizza choices, along with the traditional standards. Sandwiches available, too. Not much of a kids menu, though.

Salads were delicious! Pizza was delicious! Perfect proportion of crust to toppings. Yum! All FRESH ingredients. Clean place. Things to note — has live music so might be loud on a Fri-Sat pm. Drinks(soda/tea) served from bottles, not tap or brewed. Who cares — we came for good pizza & were not disappointed. Highly recommend!

I hadn’t heard much about this place probably because it’s so far outside of town, but… wow. The pizza was great, especially the crust. I had the Bad Rabbit Basil. Others in the group had calzones that I’m told were also very good. It’s a little confusing at first if you happen to enter in market side. That side is a small shop geared towards Lake Monroe visitors. The other side is a a cozy, semi-rustic looking restaurant. The beer selection is small but good. Service was helpful and efficient. This is a great stop on your way to or from Lake Monroe or out of town for some great pizza.

Great beer selection. Best pizza in or near Bloomington. Very friendly and helpful staff. Quiet bar area for grown-ups…complete with board games. :) New favorite place in(well, within easy driving distance of) town.

Great pizza on the way to the middle of nowhere — or on the way home from the middle of nowhere. I’m frequently out here for outdoor recreation — hiking and boating — and I’m very pleased to have such a great place out here. Last night I got the Cliffhanger, which is their«pie of the month». OMG that was a good pie! I wasn’t entirely sure what was on it when I ordered — chicken, bacon, goat cheese, onion, and banana peppers. I think there were a few jalapenos hidden in among the banana peppers, which may have been an accident. Great pizza, great flavor combinations. I called ahead and picked this up on the way to a camp site and shared it with a buddy. They had the pie ready when I got there and it was hot and fresh. Incidentally, they have a bakery that seems to have some chops. I got chocolate brownie surprise cupcakes. I asked«what’s the surprise?» and the guy working had no idea, so it was a genuine surprise! It has some chocolate chips, probably multiple flavors of chips and maybe some nuts. Good stuff with nice crispy edges! I will definitely be back!

The RoudyBoys and I were camping at Paynetown, so what’d we do? Yup, we decided to order pizza. Good pizza; great price and free(fast) delivery! The boys at til they were about to pop and there was pie left over to share with our fellow campers. Gold stars!

Homemade sauces like Alfredo, marinara, BBQ… absolutely awesome fresh made to your order. A surprising find in the middle of nowhere, the quality is that of downtown Bloomington. We have learned they will deliver to the campground too! I had the chicken Alfredo on ciabatta and couldn’t hardly believe my tastebuds. We will be eating here from now on when at Paynetown. They have breakfast too, serving biscuits n gravy and Breakfast Pizza etc starting 9 am, perfect for campers LOL
