Going into this, i was alittle nervous as i thought about being in an enclosed water filled sensory deprivation Tank for an hour, It’s totally dark inside the tanks and sound is blocked out. You float in about ten inches of salt water… But I was ready for this. They put me in the first room from the hallway that was wooden like a sauna/steam room with a shower, toilet, shelving and a Float Tank. I showered and immediately emerged myself in the buoyant waters. It was warm, body temperature and slippery on my skin from all of the Epsom salt. As i lay back, my mind was flooded with Thoughts, drifting from one to another. I must have fallen asleep for mins and woke with just a few things that my subconscious mind dredged up… but once those issues subsided, then came the CLARITY… A sense of complete relaxation, A oneness with myself, Mind, Body and Spirit. Like nothing I’ve ever felt before, Just Me Within and Without(Selfless) My Body felt amazing like i was 12 years old again, and me bouncing from one end of the Tank to the other in suspended animation… ZEROGRAVITY like being in space. Time had no relevance here, I didn’t know if hours had passed or if The staff had forgotten about me and i was there for days… I WASATPEACE, TOTALLYFOCUSED with no thoughts, questions, worries or stress. Those things didnt exsist anymore. After The hour of being inside, I got dressed and was offered herbal tea and sat in a nice room with comfy chairs. Still no Stress, no back pain, no nothing… JUSTPEACEAND A QUIETMIND. So this is what it feels like to be completely one with yourself… we need to get more of these types of places in every country and city. THEWORLDWOULDBE A HAPPIERLESSSTRESSFULPLACE!

I’d been hoping to try«floating» for a few years now, and after seeing their October special($ 35 for a float), I knew I had to give it a go! My friend and I ventured up to Bloomsburg and were really impressed with the professional and spa-like design of the space. We felt very pampered from the minute we took off our shoes in the foyer. The float rooms are gorgeous and peaceful… any hesitation about sensory deprivation was eased away when realized how relaxing this whole process would be. You shower first, hop in the tank, and get settled. It took my body 20 minutes or so to stop fidgeting, but when I finally relaxed, I entered this strange state between sleeping and waking… like the dreams you have before you pass out in a class or when you hit the snooze button on the alarm. It was very strange, interesting, and very meditative. I felt great all day afterward… it was like my thoughts were clear, centered, and peaceful(that’s saying a lot as I tend to have racing thoughts all day). Everyone was very friendly, and I really enjoyed this unique experience. I will definitely be back.

This was an interesting and unique experience. The place is very clean and well kept. I started with an hour massage and it was truly one of the best I’ve ever had. A bargain at $ 50. This was my first time floating and I really enjoyed it. A very unique experience and I’ll definitely be back to do it again. Soooo relaxing and peaceful. It took me a while to get comfortable and relax, but I think there’s somewhat of a «learning curve“with floating and it probably is easier to relax when you know what to expect. Overall a very relaxing experience and a great way to take a break from everything for a couple hours.

If you are in search for great relaxation and you live in the Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania area this is the place to come. Some of the great benefits of the Art of Floating are mind and body relaxation. If you want to feel like you’re sleeping on clouds or laying on what feels like a jello bed come and hang out here. The interesting experience about this is that everyone has a different one. As I went into the tank I felt relaxed, however once I laid down and started to relax more I felt the points where I hold my stress. After a few minutes(I believe) I went into a meditative relaxation which made me feel like I was in a timeless capsule. Once my time was up I got out of the tank and took what felt like a blissful shower. The water was nice and warm and the hair and body products felt very nice on my hair and body. The staff is very nice and knowledgeable about what the whole concept of floating means. They also provide great massages(by appointment only) and if you get the combo of massage and float(like me) you feel like you are walking on clouds. Overall this was a fabulous experience and I wish we had something like this in Florida. Come check them out and experience blissfulness!

If Buddha floated instead of sitting to meditate, he wouldn’t have gotten up and taught the rest of the world-he’d still be floating. The space is wonderful. The post-floating tea is wonderful and an excellent safety feature that lets you integrate the experience before going back to your busy life(don’t float and drive people!) The only complaint is that the location isn’t close by so you can float more.

This was my first experience floating. Consider me hooked. The facilities are pristine, comfortable, and homey. I’m bummed I don’t live in the area anymore, because if I did I would make it a monthly routine. Now that I have experienced floating, I prefer it to a massage. I tried it for a number a reasons: my back was bothering me from a futon I was sleeping on, I carry a lot of tension in my upper back, and mostly because I knew I would have one full hour with no distractions in an attempt to truly drop out and relax. When I walked out, I felt like I was in a hazy, blissful state – kind of like the feeling you get after you have an awesome yoga session. My back didn’t hurt anymore which was a huge plus. Elise offered tea and we talked for a while as my friend and I were still waking up. She has a lot of knowledge about the practice of floating and I agree with her sentiment, «Everyone should float!»
