I usually do not write reviews, but the food here was so amazing that I had to take the time to write one. On our first night in town, we are at the Turkey hill Brew Pub and fell in love with the food. We planned to eat dinner there every night. That was until we were told that they had a Fine Dining restaurant that was even better. We decided to give it a try and were hooked. I have a new definition of «amazing food» and everything we have eaten there this week has been dining perfection.

My husband and I stayed here as part of our minimoon as had our dogs with us and they are dog-friendly — dogs allowed on the patio for meals and all around the grounds. The staff was very kind. The food was delicious — I am a vegan and they were eager to accommodate. Even though the chef was familiar with many vegan dishes, breakfast and dinner at the restaurant were delicious. The grounds are beautiful and the ducks that live on premises, Gwendolyn and Waldo, were lovely company. Even though the location is directly off of the highway and across from a Denny’s, it felt much more secluded and rustic than its location suggested upon first driving up.

I cannot say enough good things about this place… BEAUTIFUL grounds, WONDERFUL, WELCOMING rooms, SUPERFRIENDLY staff, AND a fantastic FINEFOOD dining restaurant on the grounds. We arrived for only a one night stay last Monday(wish it would have been more, but we waited too long to make our reservation and they had filled up for the weekend). I am still very pleased that we were able to have one night at The Inn at Turkey Hill. I was greeted by a very friendly woman as I entered the check-in area. I was immediately struck by how quaint the room was… big comfy chairs, dark wood bookshelf filled to the brim with DVDs to be checked out, if one cared to, newspapers, and a couch that looked like you would sink into if you sat down. From this vantage point, I could see the bar. Not a large bar, but a really, really nice one. Everything about this place says: WARMANDCOMFORTABLEANDHOMEY, without being kitschy… In the room next to the bar, was the restaurant with tables at floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking a beautifully grounds, including a flowing fountain. This is one amazing place to stay. The room, with a queen bed, sofa, table, desk, flat screen TV with plenty of channel choices, and a DVD player, was cozy and welcoming. We had our Belgian Malinois with us and there was even a doggie treat bag for him! I have a SINGLE complaint about this venue– the internet speed is POOR. I hope they resolve this, as I had a difficult time even pulling up my mail(ended up doing it with my iPhone using lte/4g). PLEASEPLEASE pay for faster speed… your customers may not spend a great deal of time in their rooms, however, many of us do business on our computers and must have a decent speed to accomplish even the simplest of tasks! Thank you for a wonderful time!

This place is… fine. My husband and I stayed for one night during a spontaneous road trip. We picked TIaTH from a guidebook /article he found online. It was late in the day, and we were nearly out of options — so TIaTH it was. There were some really nice positives — everyone on the staff was super super friendly, from the people who checked us in, the breakfast staff, the cleaning folks. Everyone was really lovely. Speaking of lovely, the grounds are lovely. Yes, you’re RIGHT off the highway — like spitting distance. But it doesn’t feel like a roadside motel. Where we had breakfast was also pretty. Last, they are dog friendly(we didn’t realize, but very good to know) — and the beds were comfortable and the rooms clean enough. Almost nothing more important than that! Now for the negatives — we looked at the brew pup for dinner. The menu, for what it was, seemed pretty overpriced — as was the case for our room. Our room was fine, but for the price, the cracks in the façade shouldn’t have been so visible. The carpet smelled like mildew. The wallpaper trim in the bathroom above the shower was peeling(badly). The wifi was absolutely, hands down terrible. I don’t mean you can’t stream HD Netflix. I mean you’re gonna have a hard time opening Facebook or Google. All in all — the inn at turkey hill is a really fancy, spruced up motel. The entrances to all the rooms are outside(not a fan), the rooms smell damp, and the aesthetics are looking a little worn. For $ 100 a night, it’d be great. For nearly double that, no thanks. We’d stay again only if we absolutely had to be in the area. Otherwise, we’re gonna keep on driving.
