Tower Micro gets an A+ from me! Told the young sales woman what I was looking for she asked a few follow up questions to make sure I wasn’t forgetting any aspects of the device that may be important. I walked out of the store with a brand new computer and extremely satisfied. I realized the computer did not have a cd drive(which is almost obsolete anyway) however I saw the receipt said it had one and I had no idea how I was going to install my office program without it. I called Tower Micro and asked about the confusion and Jenn took my number and said she would call me back when she had a resolution. I received a call same day saying she had an external cd drive, it was in the back room with my name on it and to come pick it up at my earliest convenience. It does a community good to shop local and an experience a corporation could never provide. Thank you Jenn and Tower Micro!

Tower Micro has been a Bloomsburg institution since I was in high school back in the mid 90’s when I got my first 486 desktop from them. They used to be down in the Agway plaza next to the Town Park and had a different name which has since slipped my mind. They have since moved to Rt 11 next to the super cool 1800’s «western city» that it sits next to which needs to be seen to be understood(I believe it’s an old Hollywood set). Parking is always ample and easy, the biggest complaint might be having to turn left back out onto Rt 11 without a stop light, but I’m not complaining… merely stating. The service from the crews on the floor every single time I have entered the store has been courteous, thorough and educational. I have walked in on numerous occasions, been asked what I needed and was out the door in under 5 minutes because my needs were met and the transaction was done quickly… whereas you may walk into Staples and be standing around for 15 minutes before someone even acknowledges your presence. This past weekend I needed a new and longer replacement, monitor cable. Yet again, I was greeted promptly and was out the door in no time with my new product and was extremely happy with my overall experience. The missing one start is for prices. I have done a few comparisons with the big box stores and sometimes the prices are not as good. But I am a big supporter of local businesses and know the customer service here will always be top notch, so when I’m home visiting the Bloom area and have computer needs, it’s always the first place that comes to mind and Staples is a distant second. The general floor showing off products could also be better organized and have more machines up and running to show off the products. I loved this when I was younger as I would always go in and see how fast solitaire would fly on the new generations of Pentium processors and how fast the Microsoft toasters would fly across the screen… but the past few times I’ve been in the store, I haven’t exactly been able to play with products. Also, please bring back your amazing catalog and/or website which reminds me of my favorite computer store in the Boston area,

Poor service, state that its not their job to give advice and let friend leave with an inferior laptop when a 4x’s faster processor could be have from bestbuy for the same price.
