Found this place on our drive from Nashville to Mass. We love stopping & trying local eateries. So glad we stopped at Dixie Outpost. Dave, the owner is very personable — perfect for us out-of-towners who enjoy meeting the locals. My daughter devoured the ½ rack of ribs & I ordered the plate of pulled pork — tho it was not very hot. The bus outside is a treat to explore. Stop here & you won’t be disappointed.

I had heard good things about this place so wanted to give it a shot. Place is small in side but the two young ladies working were very friendly and provided great services. Good stuff… the Mac & Cheese was great(I know kids favorite thing to eat but I have to try it everywhere I go, espec. if its a small establishment) the homemade chips were also really good. Wings was ok nothing to write home about. The unique options they have for hot dog where neat. I actually got one wrapped in bacon with BBQ, Jalapenos and Tomatoes on it. Tasted pretty good and would recommend it to others when in the area.

Driving through on the way to Nashville, found this little BBQ place just inside the TN line. They call themselves the«Best little dive worth the drive» so we decided to check them out. The pulled pork was absolutely delicious! Really appreciate that the sandwiches come in little, medium and big pig sizes. Sides were very good(potatoes& onions, cornmeal battered fried okra). Just wished that I had a little more time to look at the menu — the only one we found was posted right at the cash register and there were customers lining up behind us. Service got off to a rough start for us but ended up just fine. Didn’t get to try the hot dogs but they looked good too! Very cool décor, license plates and rulers etc. They definitely deserve a Diners Drive Ins and Dives nod!!!
