During a recent visit to the beautiful town of Blowing Rock, I suffered a minor eye abrasion that was uncomfortable enough to warrant a visit to the Blowing Rock Hospital Emergency Room. I have to admit, I was surprised that the small town even had a hospital, let alone a facility with 24 hr emergency service. The two attending nurses were so kind even though my injury was very minor and the whole process took less than 50 min. – that’s even with waiting for the on call doctor to arrive. Wonderful town, wonderful people!
