Great sub chain, but this location doesn’t even deserve the name of the chain. Freestyle machine is empty of most products and subs weren’t steamed. The place looks like it is falling to pieces. Poor management likely.

For the first time in almost five years, I had a sub at Firehouse Subs. The only other times I visited this sub shop was in Richmond, VA. Today’s visit was in Blue Ash, OH. In the time passed, Firehouse Subs as remained — ok. They have a wide variety of sandwiches and they make them rather quickly. There bread is soft and I can get behind that. But in the grand scheme, they’re a little better than that place named for a mode of transportation, pulled even that place«subs so fast,» and still manage to fall short of that place straight out of Jersey. Its a good change of pace and I’d go back. Some time. .. in the future. ..

As the manager was taking my order. I noticed a dip«chewing tobacco» in his mouth. Just Disgusting!!!

In this day and age there a plethora of options when it comes to subs, hoagies, sandwiches, etc. Firehouse is hands down my favorite, and I have eaten at all of the chains! This location is a typical setup, love seeing the new soda fountain machine(becoming more popular) that gives you tons of drink options. My sub(The Engineer) came out perfect as I expected… If this location gets Tiger sauce I’ll upgrade to 5 stars, call me picky but I love that stuff. Firehouse offers many different sauces you can add to your sub, this sets them apart from every other chain out there. All the other Firehouse’s I’ve been to has the Tiger sauce, if this place gets it, will be upgraded to 5 stars ;)

I first visited Firehouse Subs(my first time at any location) during the Taste of Blue Ash in August, and heard a bunch of good stuff about them before. So, I went inside, got myself a Meatball sub, a big drink, and chips for about $ 9. I waited for it, but the TVs were on, and they had a Coke Freestyle machine to test out, so it was worth it. I went back to the Taste the next evening, and back again to Firehouse Subs, and went with the ‘Firehouse’ sub, and wasn’t as impressed with that one as the meatball(probably me?) but overall impressed with it. In a world of Subway on every corner, and Jimmy John’s in every neighborhood, Firehouse is something nice: and I love how they play on the«Founded by Firemen» theme, as I have family/friends who have been in firefighting.

These are not your typical East Coast subs. The meat is sweeter and better quality then most other chains out there. My kids loved the soda machine with all the options, and they loved the subs. I thought the meats were a little bit sweeter then they should be and over all it was good sub. I will try them a few more times to try some other options, but others i talked to agreed the subs were sweeter then expected.

It is my favorite place to get subs. It has a great high tech drink machine. It has everything you could think of. It has really good food. It has great service. The man there always remembers me.

My wife had some shopping she needed to do up in Kenwood on Saturday afternoon. I used this an excuse to try out a sub shop that has been on my radar for a while, Firehouse Subs. Of their 485 locations in 29 states, five are in the Cincinnati metro area, and this is one of the closest to our home. I’m a sucker for a well prepared hot sub, and this looked like just the place to fill that craving. They have ten hot specialty subs on their menu, along with some more basic hot and cold subs. I didn’t think twice about ordering anything other than a hot specialty sub and went with the Club on a Sub($ 5.79) — smoked turkey breast, Virginia honey ham, crispy bacon, and melted Monterey Jack cheese on wheat. I also agreed to have it «Fully Involved» meaning mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion, and a dill spear on the side. The sandwich was great! The wheat bread was fresh and just a touch crunchy from the oven. The meat and veggies all appeared and tasted fresh. This was a great sandwich that I would not hesitate to eat again. My wife had the Engineer Sub($ 5.59) — smoked turkey breast, sautéed mushrooms, and melted Swiss. She also was very happy with her sandwich. We each made had a combo with a bag of chips of our choice and a medium drink for $ 2.29 extra. The medium cup was huge, easily the size of most places large. And with their Coca-Cola freestyle machine there are over 120 different combinations of soda available. I tried some flavored drinks, but they all were a little too sweet for my tastes. It was still fun(and slightly confusing the first time) to play with this unique machine. We had a great first experience at Firehouse Subs, and I will definitely add it to my list of quick eats. I just wish there was a location closer to home.

I’m infatuated with Firehouse Subs. I really couldn’t believe it when they moved into the already sub-heavy area of Blue Ash. What were they thinking?! But now that I’ve visited several times, I don’t think they’re going to have a problem getting customers. The subs are great! I particularly like the New York Steamer(at least they didn’t name it after Cleveland!). They also include a ¼ pickle with your sandwich, and the pickles aren’t bad, either. The sandwiches aren’t as heavy as Penn Station, and way more flavor than Jersey Mike’s. They steam their meat, which I assume is what unlocks that delicious flavor. The bed is soft and delicious. It’s the sub place that everyone can love! Our office has found new common ground in Firehouse Subs. I also can’t get over the uniqueness of Coca-Cola Freestyle. A pop machine with 100+ flavors! Amazing! I’ve been telling everyone about it. I try something new every time I go it, because I CAN! Couple quick tips. The ice and the drink come out of the same area which I wasn’t sure about the first time I tried it. Also the big physical Push button is what dispenses the drink once you’ve chosen it on the touch screen. The interior is packed pretty tight. I can imagine it would get awkward with a huge line, but luckily I’ve never experienced that. I do find it odd that the order station is furthest from the door, so you have to walk past people waiting for their sandwiches to make your order. On the flip side, that means you can walk right out after your order is done. To top it off they just donated over $ 10,000 worth of training equipment to the Blue Ash Fire Department. I love when businesses give back to the local community.

Visited Firehouse Subs for the first time on 9÷19÷2011 on a recommendation from a friend of mine. He said it was the best sub he has ever had, and I have to agree with him. I tried the Smokehouse Beef and Cheddar Brisket sub(12″) and was it amazing! For $ 11.00 I got the sub, a medium drink, and a bag of chips. It was the best sub that I’ve ever had but it was a little bit pricey. Try lowering the prices a little bit, not everyone can afford $ 11 a meal in this economy. Also, the new Coke Freestyle machine is pretty cool where you can make 100+ drink combinations. Never seen anything like it before! Other than that, no complaints and I’m sure I will be back again.

Not bad first experience. I had the New York steamer which was flavorful. I really liked the array of hot sauces you can try. The Coke selector will be fun to try again. They obviously need to keep training the high schoolers working there. I ordered a combo, but had to go back to get my cup for the drink. There were eight people behind the counter and I couldn’t see any real work being done. But I will be back —

Took at least 25 minutes to get my two sub order — and both were wrong! At least I got caught up on my emails while I waited. I know how Gordon Ramsey feels in Hells Kitchen — lots of people doing stuff but no orders going out. The worst part is that the subs — once we picked out the wrong ingredients — were just average. Nearby is the the outrageously priced Jersey Mikes or the always good Jimmy Johns where I can get better subs.
