Reeds Country Store

I have purchased a few things from here over the years. The furniture is mostly hand made with quality wood.
Recently I was looking for a bookshelf for my family room. I looked in different furniture stores and never found one I like. They were either too expensive or did not look good. I found one here and they hand stained it to the finish I was looking for. The shelf was around $ 500 with a double door for the bottom shelves. It sits beautifully in my family room now. A comparable one I saw in another furniture store would have cost $ 1000, and would have looked like stained in a factory instead.

This place is expensive as eff! I walked in here one time to see how much a whicker rocker chair would cost (I wanted one to place on the front porch so that I’d have something other than my milk crate to sit on while I hollar at the hoodlums in the neighborhood to stay off my lawn!) …the salesman said their cheapest whicker rocker was $ 175. I told him that was ridiculous and that they’ll never sell one for that much. Then he told me they sell about 75 of them a year. I also asked if he had anything cheaper but the store seems a little uppity for me (actually, I’m just poor… if I were rich I’d waste my money on all kinds of dumb crap like this whicker chair). anyways… the dude was cool and told me that I might be better off shopping at wal-​mart or something. I said thanks and said he’d be better off not charging so much for his chairs.
