Shear Waves

I can think of two things wrong with this title. It’s not Shear and I was not on a beach or near a beach to see any waves crashing. I’m not sure what Einstein created this name, but it does not make sense (at least not to me). My only thought was that the owner was trying to be funny or something along those lines, but honestly, who invests money in something and messes around with it.
Anyway, I walked in here to get a trim. I had no appointment. I sat down fairly quickly and read a magazine as they cut my hair. I’m not sure where this «hair cutter» went to beauty school, but she was waaaayyy out of her league. She was confused and had no control over the scissors. I could tell it was going bad, so I walked out halfway through and went home and shaved my head.
The next time I went back, I got the same girl and she did the same thing. This time, I stayed until she was completed and paid and then left. I felt too bad just walking out again.
Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, shame on me as well apparently. There will not be a third time, however. Good Riddance!

This is perhaps the WORST place to get a haircut. I went in there in May 2007 and asked them to cut my hair short. Mind you, my hair was half way down my back. The stylist kept saying «No, I can’t do it. You’ll hate it.» Well, that’s up to me to decide, isnt’ it?! I left feeling defeated and hating my hair, spending $ 40 (like Joy) on a cut I didn’t want. I tipped the stylist accordingly. To me, you get a good tip for great service and a lousy tip for poor service. You didn’t do what I asked, you get a lousy tip. A week later, I went back and asked for the same girl to cut it shorter (yet again) and upon seeing me, she hid in the back room and I wound up with someone else. This girl did the same thing, but then eased into cutting it shorter. I’m not pleased. They cared more about their Fakes Purse Party they were having (which, funny enough, is against the law and they were having it in the middle of their store on a Saturday– one of the busiest days for a salon!!) than their customer.
BUYER BEWARE — they have moved their location to inside the Super Fresh in Blue Bell (in the Kohl’s shopping Center) under a different name. It’s the same shady owner with the same bitchy stylists and they’ve jacked up their prices even more. NEVER!!! Like Joy said, go to Great Clips. For $ 13.00 (and sometimes they have specials) you can get the style you want without the added B.S. of an over-​priced Salon. And ask for Keira at Great Clips! She’s fantastic!
