God bless the south and their love of fried foods! Being back in Blue Ridge I allow myself to indulge in the comfort foods I grew up with a little more frequently than my gut is used to now. Wasn’t even hungry on this particular day but after some serious shopping I figured I’d burned enough calories for a «snack.» So off to Blue Ridge BBQ it was. First off the drive through is pretty slow but hey if you are making my food fresh I’ll wait and just sip on my good olé sweet tea. Went with an order of regular and Cajun pork rinds. God bless who ever conceived pork rinds. Freaking heaven in my mouth if you ask me. Probably would just go with regular next time. I love Cajun spices but it kinda overwhelmed the pork flavor. And just cause two orders of pork rinds weren’t enough we went with some fried pickles and fried onion petals. Fried… fried…and more fried. Can life get any better?! Seriously though, fried pickles were great and I tend to hate it when they do them spear style instead of pickle chips. Mainly cause with the spears the breading tends to come off after the first bite. But no these little bad boys. That yummy fried batter kept right on. The fried onion petals are basically just like fried onion rings. And the portion was huge. Seriously… HUGE! Next time i’m back in Blue Ridge… it’s on!

I frequent Blueridge Q often driving up from Kennesaw, n have always enjoyed the food. They offer homemade chips, love! Also free sample of their smoked chicken salad, Oh Yum… Now here is where I have a problem, there friendly customer service is way below par. A friendly hello, may I help you, smile any or all would go a long way… instead it’s a stare across the counter waiting for you to order n an attitude like you are doing them a favor. I’ve never tried Joe’s but may have to just to see if they appreciate my being in their establishment. As much as food weighs heavy on my score, friendly service is just as important!

Came to Blue Ridge for Joe’s but they’re closed for some reason today so we stopped here. I ordered the beef brisket l, macncheese and slaw. Slaw is ground up Carolina style and was bland. Macncheese also bland and not creamy. Brisket was stringy(shredded not sliced), dry and also lacked real flavor. Tried the sweet bbq and hot bbq sauces, neither worthy of a postcard to a cousin. Real bummer.

First of all, this is one star due to the fact there isnt a zero. Went to this place after finding Joes closed when it was supposed to be open. Long line took a while. finally got some average pork and disappointing Kraft mac and cheese. ordered a sandwich for dine in and some pulled chicken to go, and when they called my number, the chicken wasn’t on the tray. I stood there while the order taker/cashier ignored me. finally, he looked up and I asked about my chicken to go, and was told to come back later as they were busy. when I went for a refill of tea, there was no ice to be found, and I didn’t want to ask that cashier for anything. All this after driving 2 Hrs. I’ll just go to Grand Champion BBQ in Marietta next buddy had the fried catfish and it was good.

Mediocre BBQ at best; ok chicken, ok pork, small dried out ribs, and dry beef. All the BBQ sauces seem to taste the same. The coleslaw seems like it was store bought. The staff was friendly and polite. Would not go back.

Super delicious pulled chicken… great smokey flavor! I was super impressed with the very tasty food. The hush puppies are obviously made there to order. We got our order to go and the staff was very accommodating and gave us extra BBQ sauce. It’s not much to look at, but you will be glad you tried the awesome food!

We got the pulled pork BBQ with slaw – slaw needed some pepper and the BBQ was bland like most said but their good BBQ sauce added the flavor needed — we like the hot BBQ sauce for some spice… wife liked her Brunswick stew… quaint little place and quick to order — we like Jims but this was nice for a change

If you’re looking for a pile of shredded meat on a bun and having to put your own BBQ sauce on… then this is your place. Very bland. Fried pickles were okay.

Great barbecue spot in North Georgia! The pulled pork is phenomenal, and they have an excellent selection of sauces, which are all fantastic. Although they could have a better selection of sides, it definitely does not steer me away, as I come back with every chance I get. Blue Ridge Mtn. BBQ, keep doing what you’re doing! Excellent place topped off with a friendly staff

I visited Blue Ridge, GA with family recently and were on the hunt for some good Southern BBQ. Blue Ridge Mountain BBQ did not disappoint! We arrived in a party of 10. When we arrived the place was empty, but 10 minutes later it was jam packed, and this is a true testament to the quality of their cooking. Everyone was cooked to smokey perfection! The sides were absolutely foodgasmic. A cool treat is their sampling table where you can taste the sides before placing your order, but be careful!, once you have a taste of the sides, you’ll keep going back. Loved this place!

Not bad, but does not pass my main bbq’d joint tests: no brisket and I can’t see where they cook the meat. Smells like a diner, not a bbq shack.

This place was horrible! We tried the pork, beef and chicken. The only thing even remotely edible was the chicken. The pork looked like shredded beef jerky… terribly dry and difficult to eat. I was even served a baked potato that was still hard. Our family of 4 all had very upset stomachs! Do not eat here!

We ordered a full rack of ribs, onion rings, fries, okra, and toast. The ribs seemed to be old, dry rubbed very tough, very little meat, the worst ribs we have ever had before. Even made us a bit sick. The onion rings, fries, and okra seemed to be double fried and extremely greasy no flavor at all. The toast was soggy and greasy. We will not be going here again nor do we recommend it. Shane’s in Ellijay was much better.

I took my family on a vacation to Blue Ridge mountains and next time we will skip over this place. I ordered a pull pork sandwich but got a really dry chopped pork sandwich. Terrible! The baked beans were okay but i’m pretty sure they are Van Camp beans in a can. Go try the trout at Toccoa Riverside.

Hmm, not sure about«Lip Smackin Toung Waggin Down Home Good» BBQ. Upon the recommendation from other Unilocalers we tried the chicken salad with macaroni salad but we ended up liking the sauces and the ribs better. I was weary about trying the pulled pork at a bbq spot with so many mentions of chicken salad but when we looked around, most ppl we’re getting the pulled pork plate so I felt like we were steered in the wrong direction because the chicken salad was overly salty. A few redeeming factors: our sandwich was served on a bun(not TX toast) and our rib snack was very tender. My favorite sauce was the North Carolina red vin hot sauce and it was Hot! They had 4 of 5 advertised sauces available and we love our choices of sauces. The macaroni salad was good as well. Next time I’m getting the pulled pork and ignoring my fellow Unilocalers! :p O o +

Had take out from here when we arrived in Blue Ridge Friday. We tried Joes and they had run out of barbecue by 7 pm! Good ribs, nice and smokey. Wish they had been bigger though. Great corn on the cob, okay fries. I think it would have been better if we had eaten in, but they were so nice and helpful on the phone, I have to give them props for that! Next time, we eat at the restaurant!

Chopped pork was dry. French fries were terrible. Pecan pie was institutional. Owners need to TRY eating the food they are selling.

I try to stop by every time I am in Blue Ridge. This is a really great place in town, and really good BBQ too. As much as I like the BBQ, the thing to get here is the smoked chicken salad. It is by far the best thing here.

I can not drive through Blue Ridge without stopping by here. The BBQ is pretty solid, and the sides could probably use a little work, but ladies and gentlemen I have a confession: My name is Jerry T. and I am addicted to this chicken salad. I don’t even eat chicken salad. It’s that good. They use chicken that they smoke like the other meat choices and season perfectly. Then they mix it with the other ingredients. These probably include love, magic and maybe mayonnaise, but not too heavy on the mayo. Do yourself a favor and stop by if you are the way up o the mountains.
