As often as we have visited Blue Ridge, we have never tried this restaurant and I am so glad we finally did! The watermelon salad with grilled shrimp was DELICIOUS, I would return just for that dish although there were plenty of other offerings on the menu that sounded just as good. Service was great. Our waitress was very kind and attentive. She even caught up with us down the sidewalk when we left because my husband left his sunglasses on the table. Highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to trying it again.

Mostly bar food, though still limited in offerings. If you come on Sunday, be aware that the place fills up quickly and the kitchen is overwhelmed.

Loved this place. We were in town for a wedding and we ate there three times! You gotta try the wings!

Omg, to die for. So good. Georgia Trout served with cabbage and potato hash. Best I’ve ever had! Fresh. My friend is having the shrimp and grits. Very much enjoying the meal.

This place is GARBAGE. We made a reservation and they GAVE IT AWAY. We called and talked to the bartender to acknowledge we were on our way (we were walking about a 1 – 2 blocks away). The hostess «claimed» they never received the message from the bartender. Therefore, they gave our reservation away. After we complained about the mishap, the manager came out and talked to us. The manager did not apologize for the inconvenience. His only option was making us wait on their list again for another 45 MIN! What kind of customer service is that??? He didn’t apologize. He didn’t give us a table or comp us for the mistake. I would NOT recommend this restaurant solely for the POOR customer service. Beware

Super wings! Loved my drink called «The Ellis». It was their version of a Moscow Mule! Super!

Decided to eat here for dinner on a whim during a staff retreat. I’ll also note this is my first time in the area and it was kinda creepy that there were no humans outside on a perfectly sunny day AT ALL. Lol. Blame it on all the scary movies I’ve seen up to this point #HouseofWax lol.
Anyway, we were warmly greeted and the ambiance was trendy and inviting. It’s kind of sports bar-​ish/​pub with a full bar and tv’s and music. We were seated promptly and our servers were very attentive, knowledgeable about the specials, and courteous. we ordered the wings, flatbread, and shrimp tacos for appetizers. The wings were AMAZING! They fry them, coat them in there medium house made sauce, then grill them. Delicious. The flatbread was great too and the chef makes a different one daily. I wasn’t too fond of the shrimp tacos because they were too sweet for my liking.
For dinner I ordered the NY Strip with the roasted cauliflower over au gratin potatoes with garlic and olive oil.
I didn’t rate 5 because there was something floating in my water when I got it, another person was given an appetizer plate with dried food on it, the server encouraged us to «hurry up and order» because the kitchen was closing soon (it was 9:00pm). Then the server came out and basically threw me under the bus by telling everyone at the table they were waiting for my steak to be cooked up to temperature them they would bring the food out :-/​
Despite that, the steak was good though a little over cooked. I actually ate cauliflower that I liked and the augratin potatoes were a good compliment. I would go back.

Awesome food, great atmosphere, my favorite place to eat in Blue Ridge!

Love everything about this place. Stunning décor and the owners thought of every little detail from the hooks under the bar, hammered metal footrest at the bar, roomy/​super cute bathroom, and brand new large screen curved HD TVS. It is so cozy, great service, and the food was delish.
We had the Mesquite burger which was perfectly cooked and so much flavor — I could have eaten 2 ;) And the chopped salad was large and definitely shareable. I’m glad this place is in town and definitely looking forward to coming back.
Also, it didn’t hurt that they had one of my fav beers — 21^st Amendment — Hell or High Watermelon on tap. So awesome!

great bar for a quick bite and beer while walking around in blue ridge, we had fire roasted pimento cheese, four cheese grilled cheese and 20 wings shared between friends… all was fantastic and very convenient location.

Great atmosphere but staff has personality of speed bumps! Start cleaning hours before closing time! SAD!!!

Chester’s has a great atmosphere and even better food! My boyfriend and I stopped in for a «late» dinner while on vacation in Blue Ridge (I put late in quotes because almost every other restaurant closes before 8). We were so pleasantly surprised! We ordered the Smoked Trout Dip as an appetizer and ate every last bite! For dinner I had the Four Cheese Grilled Cheese with Tomato Bisque Soup & a side of Cheese Grits and my boyfriend ordered the Mesquite Burger. To say we inhaled our food would be an understatement, it was delicious! I’m not a huge fan of grits but loved these! And I took half my sandwich and soup home and it was even better reheated! The waitress and chef were so friendly too! If you’re in Blue Ridge, I’d definitely recommend this place!

Went in for dinner. Little pricey, wings were great and kids loved them. Strip steak was good, enjoyed the roasted garlic topping.
Nice local beer selection. More for adults than families.

Nice pub with a decent dinner menu. They have a decent wine list for a beer pub too.
I had the tomato bisque with a grilled cheese on a cold winter night. It was good enough to return.
Better than the average tourist crap-​hole on every street.

Ok, so this place is getting 4 stars solely for two items on their menu:
Item 1– The river gypsy. One of the best drinks I have ever had. It is so refreshing and so delicious!
Item 2– The wings! They aren’t saucy but are very flavorful!
Everything else was okay.

They put me at the little table by the front door. Very tight with the table next to me. Not my favorite however it had a nice atmosphere– more bar than grill. Moderately noisy and people seem to be having fun.
Waitress was polite and efficient. Much better than the young lady that greeted me as hostess.
I was happy with the food service but the guys next to me were complaining that they could not get much attention. At one point he got up and went to the hostess stand.
The spinach and pear salad was tasty, but was small for an entrée. Especially when you add the chicken because they don’t serve much chicken.
Good quality with disappointing quantity. A bit pricey but it’s a popular tourist place. $ 25 for one person and I left a little hungry.

We had a party of 10 stop by on a Saturday October afternoon and were initially told it would be a 2 hour wait. We were fine with this as it was somewhat to be expected given there aren’t many places nearby that can seat large parties to very fast. Anyway, they said they would call us when our table was ready.
Not sure what happened, but we got a call within 30 minutes and were seated in the perfect spot to catch some of the college football action.
Our waitress was decent, nothing spectacular. She did know the menu fairly well, but was a little slow with taking orders and refilling drinks.
Our table got an order of 50 chicken wings which were really, really good. We also had the pimento cheese deep which was delicious, along with shrimp tacos and the loaded potatoes skins.
The only issue we had here was with asking the hostess to change the channel to the Alabama game. We then caught flack from older
Locals for not leaving after we were finished eating??? We had just spent $ 500 and were still drinking and watching the game, but we held our ground. This wasn’t the only place this happened as some of the restaurant owners in the area seem to favor the older folks who must frequent these places.
Overall, great place to visit and eat. Would definitely come back.

Chester’s is a nice addition to the main street of Blue Ridge. On my visit, I had the wings. The wings here are something special! They aren’t your typical buffalo wings, but are smokey and have good heat with a dry rub. They also have really great hand cut fries.
The place gets busy, and it’s quite popular. Go early or expect a wait! It’s a little pricey, especially for the area.

Wow. My family and i went here on our visit to blue ridge, ga. Food was outstanding. GET THE WINGS!!! Best ive ever had. They are roasted. Outstanding. My wife got the grilled cheese… again awesome. I got the mesquite burger and it was great. The atmosphere makes you feel like you are in downtown park city Utah (I’ve been to PC, UT many times so i know)
This place has great food, great atmosphere and service was exceptional. Definitely a place we are coming back to. Yea… it is kid friendly also. Bring the noise!

I have tried to eat here before but being new in town the waits can be long. After finally getting a table and paying my bill I asked what all the fuss is about. Service was slow and we had to keep asking for little things like napkins or lemons.
The watermelon salad was a hit with my table but my trout was very bland. No flavor at all. I squeezed a lot of lemon on it but still not good. The swirl of french mustard on the bottom of the plate was the most flavor I got. I love trout since I grew up in Ga.
But I wouldn’t order it here again. I feel service and flavor need to improve. I will give it another shot in a few months and hope they work out the kinks.
