I’ve stayed at this EconoLodge numerous times in the past and have been pretty satisfied, considering it’s a «budget» motel. But when I stayed there this past August, it became clear that the new family who had taken over managing the place had let it go downhill. On the plus side it was relatively clean(though the bathtub was pretty stained), the air conditioning worked well, and the Wifi connection was pretty fast. On the negative side the TV got only 11 channels(even though about 60 were listed in the hotel services booklet), there was no alarm clock, and the shower head was stuck on «massage.» Bluefield, West Virginia, only has two hotels: This EconoLodge and the Quality Inn. Both places have seem MUCH better days. MY advice to you is this: If you’re visiting Bluefield, WV, for whatever reason, book a room at one of the many newer hotels in Princeton(about 10 miles east) or at the new Comfort Inn in Bluefield, Virginia, a few miles west.
