Great little spot in the middle of nowhere. All the breakfast standards — eggs, hot cakes, omelets, etc. — friendly service, and hot coffee. Perfect place to fill up your gut before a day of wine tasting or hiking. NB: cash only.

It’s like a Cracker Barrell, only authentic! Small and cozy, with decent food and super-friendly service.

We stopped here on the way to Great Country Farms for breakfast. I had biscuit and gravy with home fries and added eggs and my husband had a garden omelet with home fries and wheat toast. Service was quick and friendly. The food was inexpensive and delicious. The restaurant was clean. We will come back… probably next week!

Excellent breakfast. What a great place. We both had omelets. Nice and hot good portion fresh ingredients. Food was perfect and service was awesome. Can’t wait to try the strawberry rhubarb pie when strawberries come in.

Standard greasy spoon fare. Very friendly service, but the food was mediocre and the portions were modest for the prices. I would have given more stars if the food had been better or the prices lower. Also, I found it odd that the burgers didn’t come with lettuce and tomato automatically; c’mon, for $ 8.50, fix a proper burger without me having to ask for it. Worth the drive to head up the road to Round Hill or Purcellville for a post-hike lunch next time.

Great pancakes, eggs and accoutrements. Crispy bacon and low prices to boot. Pumpkin pancakes delish

I just turned 60 and this was one of the finest breakfast dinning experiences that I have had in my life time. And I was very fortunate to have my 25 year old daughter with me at the time. We loved everything about the experience. The food could not have been better, it was even placed on the plates so perfectly you could of taken a picture of it for advertising. The service was outstanding. Enjoyed it so much that I went back the next morning. Enjoyed 100%… and will continue to return.

Best place to get breakfast, dinner, or lunch. They got deals and specials. Not to mention their staff is friendly. This place blows John’s Diner and Round Hill Diner out of the water!

Thanks to Unilocal I’d spotted this place ahead of time for when we were in the area and we were pleasantly surprised at the speedy service and good(plain, nothing gourmet!) food. We had chicken salad sandwich, potato soup, fish and chips, with sides(small!) of mac n cheese, apple sauce, green beans, and some rhubarb pie(well made!) and coffees and teas. The food was hot and cooked the way you find things in good cafeterias. Three of us ate for about $ 15 each(including tax). This place is tucked away on a mountain side road off Rte 7 West from Leesburg, in a hamlet with a pretty church and lots of trees. On the negative side was the rotten/lost board at the bottom of the wheelchair ramp which was still usable but might cause difficulty for some. Also, I’m never enamored of staff hanging about smoking outside where I can see them, along with overflowing ashtrays of butts on the exterior tables, as it makes me wonder what other unhealthiness or sloppiness is going on behind the scenes. Basically, this is a good café that’s a little ragged around the edges, but a great country experience, nevertheless. Be aware they don’t take credit cards so bring your cash!

So… I’m driving to a government site(which shall remain unnamed) in the middle of nowhere, and reached the general area WAY ahead of schedule. So with some time to kill and a growling stomach, I thought«let’s get some breakfast!». Of course, in the middle of nowhere, you don’t have many options, and it had been a long time since I’d seen any signs along the highway for anything. So thank goodness for the Unilocal iPhone app! Pine Grove Restaurant came up in a search for places nearby, had a couple of really good reviews, so I plugged in the directions and off I went. You really have to be looking for this place to find it. As I mentioned, there are NO signs on the highway to tell you this place is here. It’s out in the country in the middle of small rural homes, around the corner from a little old country church. The parking lot is tiny, and there were a couple of trucks parked in front when I pulled up. However, as I walked in the door, the owners of those trucks walked out, so I was the lone diner for my breakfast. Cozy is the first word that came to mind… lots of antiques and rustic furniture with nice wood floors. The server was quick and friendly, and the coffee was fresh and hot. Looking over the menu, they had an impressive selection, and since I was REALLY hungry, I opted for a dish that I REALLY wish I could remember the name of… all I can remember is that it had the word«Benedict», but instead of Hollandaise sauce, it used sausage gravy. Basically, it’s an open faced biscuit with sliced ham, covered in sausage gravy, and served with a side of home fries. Yummy! I honestly wish I’d been able to go back for lunch, but my schedule didn’t allow it. But if I find myself in the area again, I definitely know where I’ll be stopping!

Off the main drag is this wonderfully peaceful and homey little restaurant. Food is always homemade and yummy. Since moving to the area and only trying the place a few times, we are now regulars. We have even run into Grandma in the local grocery store. She makes the best desserts and those in my family that like coconut Rave about her coconut crème’ pie, I love the Black Magic cake myself. They have daily specials that are priced to try and just wait until there is the«Seafood Platter special». A must try, hikers, climbers, weekend travelers or those of us who are locals. You won’t be sorry. Down home charm and you feel like you’re eating with friends and family.

Good food, good service and good prices. They run specials weekly and I hear nothing but good things so far. I believe they are also under new management which has them open 7 days a week now? Also conveniently located near the trails for you hungry hikers and climbers. Can’t wait to go back and lounge on their patio when it starts to warm up.

I’ve frequented this restaurant regularly for over 20 years. Used to be great. Gone downhill since latest owner took over. Prices higher, food quality lower, and service is sporadic. CASH or CHECKS only! They used to have an ATM on site. but no more. God help you if you forget and have just plastic… closest ATM is in Round Hill(30 min round trip) The waitresses are great, esp the Sat night crew. But the ownership & management leaves a lot to be desired.
