Fantastic little coffee shop in a little town Calle boaz. Friendly staff and a nice outdoor area. Highly recommend the sausage balls and the moka blanka which is made with creamy ghiradelli white chocolate and absolutely dream worthy. The sausage balls are on point and in high demand so call ahead! There is a television if you want to watch a game or the news. They also have a solid selection of house made sandwiches which I hope to try on my return!

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. This was a groovy little place in the middle of Alabama. We had an amazing soy smoothie and peppermint bark latte. Will return when we are back this way!

Love this place! We were visiting from CA where there’s a Starbucks on every corner. When we got to Boaz, AL the coffee places were few and far between. We tried this place and it was awesome! We liked it so much we stopped in the very next day and the nice woman not only remembered us but she remembered our orders! My hubbie had their Americano and sausage biscuit, which he said were both great. I had the mocha blanka, which was amazing! It was just enough sweet to balance out the coffee.

Moka Blanka(white chocolate latte) is yummy. Just traveling through and found this cute little coffee shop via Unilocal. Was not disappointed. Service was friendly and efficient. I enjoyed a raspberry white chocolate scone and a latte. It was a nice rest from driving. I would stop in again if in the Boaz area.

I had been wanting to visit this cute little coffee shop forever, and I finally did. I was not disappointed, but surprised by the warm atmosphere. The employees are really nice and patient. There are board games and comfy places to sit. Also, there’s these cute poetry magnets to play with on the back of one of their machines while you wait for your coffee. Their coffee is really great. Not to mention their«for here» coffee. It’s so pretty! If you have time get a coffee«for here» because it’s totally worth it.

First of all, let me preface this by saying I am from Seattle, coffee mecca. When I travel for work I normally will look for something less like Starbucks and more like Stumptown. Boy was I pleasantly surprised when I rolled into Jamokas. Hearing the owner is from Seattle and knows what a real cappuccino is got my hopes up. I was not disappointed. Even the décor of the coffee stand I found to remind me of home. The coffee was great and I will return again.

Aesthetically, Jamokas isn’t my style and could probably be updated. However, it’s comfortable and inviting. As far as coffee goes, it’s the best in North Alabama… yes I’m serious. After you leave Birmingham heading north, you cannot find better coffee until you hit Nashville. The owner is a Seattle native and really knows her stuff. They serve coffee roasted by Zoka Coffee Roasters predominately and it is excellent. The staff is well trained and can make a mean cappuccino… a real one… all FIVE ounces of one! As far from Starbucks as you can get and thank God.

Jamoka’s is a very nice local coffee house, just the way i like them, the staff know you, and they have some good soups for lunch and pastries for dessert. This is a must visit any time I can.

Driving from Huntsville to Atlanta, almost passing out looking for a coffee shop. I guess real america likes gas station coffee. I don’t. This is almost the only coffeeshop on the journey. Wow. What a place. Real cosy acoustic music café feel. Good coffee. I will definately make this a stop on my travels between those two great cities.

I live in Portland, land of the coffee shop. There is a coffee shop on every corner, sometimes 2 or 3. You can find some of the best coffee in Portland, as well as some that is not so great. I always expect a mediocre latte at any small little coffee shop BUT I am willing to give it a shot to see for myself. That having been said, I was recently visiting my family in Alabama and I was desperate for some good coffee. I happened to drive by this place and saw that they were still open past 6pm… score. I stopped in and the first thing I noticed was the sign about cappuccinos vs lattes. This could be interesting, I thought. They had a detailed sign about what you would get if you asked for a latte and if you asked for a cappuccino. Cappuccinos are ONLY served in 5-oz ceramic mugs… I figured this place knew what they were doing! I ordered my cappuccino… first sip was good, second was good. YES! This place knows coffee… I am excited to say that I know where I’ll be going on my next visit to Alabama! Great job, JaMoka’s!!!
