Regardless of any procedures done at Dr. Freedland’s office, my frustration regarding costs, billing & insurance was deplorable. Be sure there is informed consent before any procedure — otherwise expect unreasonable charges; especially when insurance is involved.

I went to her for my annual exam. I needed to use the rest room and there was a bucket of speculums just sitting in a bucket on a shelf in the bathroom. Not sure if they were clean or dirty, but that was just gross and weird and unsterile as far as I am concerned. The bucket they were in was more like what you see mechanics use to drain oil(flatter rectangle ones) than an actual bucket. During the visit she went in and out of office a few times and she also suggested I go for a base line mammogram. I asked her why as I thought you did not need to go until 40 and she said just for a baseline so they have something to compare future ones with. OK, if the Dr. says so right… I go to the front to checkout and I am waiting there almost 15 minutes. I tell the girl at the checkout that I needed the script for the mammogram, she disappears for another 5 minutes and comes back with the script. I called to make my appointment at the imaging center for my test then a month later I get a bill for over $ 800 for the«Diagnostic mammogram». I explained to the imaging place that this must be an error that Dr. Freedland specifically told me it was a baseline mammogram. I even called my insurance to make sure it was covered based on what Dr. Freedland told me «baseline mammogram». I think she had me confused with another patient as she was going in and out of different patients rooms and the fact I was standing there waiting for 15 minutes. When I tried to call her to tell her she had sent me for the wrong test and I needed a new script for what she told me she was sending me for(because according to the imaging center, if Dr. Freedland had re wrote the script as a regular baseline mammogram I would not have to pay out of pocket. Dr. Freedland refused and then changed what she had originally told me. I got stuck paying the bill.

Dr. Freedland is very professional and can be counted upon to be proactive. Her follow up and follow through is amazing. She is cordial and direct. The office staff are friendly and professional as well. I never have trouble getting through on the phone or making an appointment.

I went to Dr. Friedland for a while a couple of years ago. She was ok. I don’t know if she still has the fake acrylic nails, it always gave me the creeps. I don’t think health care providers were supposed to wear those germ harboring nails. Anyway, she was always very bland, didn’t seem to interested. Really didn’t have that spark saying I love my job. My impression is she does it to pay the bills and that’s it. Wasn’t impressed but don’t have anything horrible to say either. Her assistant, Maddie, was awesome, thought.

Very nice staff. The Dr seems to be very very nice. I took my wife there and she listened to everything my wife wanted to ask about and she offered all kinds of help. The location of the whole place is not very attractive but i give the Dr. all the credits for the nice treatment from the minute i walked in

I would not go back to this doctor. She does not seem to care about her patients nor does her staff.
