I finally made it back after a long Hiatus due to our server suffering from amnesia… but this time I am happy to say the service was spot on and Maria was attentive as we’re all the servers as they cross covered each other… me thinks that they must have read my last review! Kev and me ordered the Chicken Milanese and it was very good, the wifey strayed from her usual Steak dinner and ordered the Lechon Asado and to put it gently she won’t be ordering that one again. Overall a decent meal. We will be back.

I’m a regular at this location. The food is good and staff is friendly. They have recently hired more bilingual staff members which helps if you don’t speak Spanish. My only complaint is that recently, they have been watering down the coffee and the espresso. This takes away from the taste and boldness of the coffee.

If you love spanish food this is a must try. My fiancée introduced me to this Columbian beauty when she brought home some blood sausage, so at first I was alittle hesitant. In the end though she convinced me to go there for lunch and it completely changed my mind First the ambience is very casual and very pleasant. The service was excellent they new I couldn’t speak Spanish and they were still very considerate and made me feel welcome. I ordered the pulled MOJO pork and it was out of this world. Great place all around only complaint I had was the parking.

Modest. much smaller than the one in Deerfield, which I prefer, but I was in the area and gave it a shot. The server was nice but very slow, and the place was almost empty. I notcied he was preoccupied doing orher tasks in the back and behind the counter. I got overcharge for my meal. In all not a great dining experience. So, sorry Balcon. You get thums down from me this time.

Pretty good food ruined by bad service. I just can’t go hear anymore. I don’t like getting mad when I go to a restaurant. The wait staff tries but they are poorly trained, disorganized, and probably underpaid. I blame the management. Food actually is good too.

The location on Powerline and Hillsboro is much better. They are nice at this location but the service is not very attentive. We have eaten here several times because we like the food but it is the service that stops us from coming here more frequently. Please be more attentive of your customers. I have been there before and sitting for over 10 minutes before anyone even comes to the table.

I love this place! Great home made food and totally affordable. Try the cilantro chicken or the red snapper. Also the staff is friendly, food and good service makes it the perfect combination.

I’ve driven by the West Boca location many times but never went in. Today I ordered delivery and was blown away — the food is fantastic! I ordered the chicken with mushrooms and a side of plantains. No joke, I think that was the best French fries I ever had. The mushroom sauce was delicious — everything was on point. Delivery took less than 30 minutes, which this hungry mama really appreciated. Will definitely be ordering from them again soon!

I’ve been meaning to try this place since I lived in Deerfield and passed that location hundreds of times but never stopped in. Now with this newer location nearby my new home I had no excuses. I’m glad I finally came. Carne Asada & Lomo Saltado done right! Fried plantains that are not over cooked. Paired with a smooth Colombian cerveza. Yes, this gringo thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Service was very pleasant, we had to have a waitress swap because she didn’t speak inglès and me. well no espanol here.

I have to say this place used to be one of my favorite places. My husband and I ate there every week sometimes 2 times a week. At first my only complaint was the strictness of the hours they keep. They close promptly at 9pm. I’ve gone there at 8:45 the place packed and was turned away. I’m sure they could’ve stayed open as they were still serving others and we are excellent customers. That was fine with us and we learned to go earlier if we wanted to have dinner there. Although it did cut our trips down because some nights we work later and have to come eat later. I also hate the fact that they don’t have bug zappers at the door and there are always flies inside. That was starting to make me turn down my husband’s suggestions to go there… but he loves the tamales. So recently we went on a Sunday with my cousin and his girlfriend. We always order a few appetizers and our meal and we did so that day. When the bill came the waiter casually said the tip is included in the bill. I was surprised. We had brought other couples with us before. I was never told this. So I asked is this a new policy? He replied no. So I then said I bet I’ve been tipping on top of this. Wow. I always tip at least 20% and I rarely scrutinize a check. This makes me mad!!! For a party of 4 it is strange to do that, I’ve heard of 6 or more but 4 all on the same check? That’s bad business. Especially for a whole in the wall place on 441. This isn’t even done at some high end restaraunts. So beware people always look over the check if you eat here!

First time here. Had a groupon about to expire in 6 days. Glad I used it. Food was delicious! Hubby got some steak that came sizzling on a hot platter. Delicious! I had chicken breast with mushrooms. Reminds me of chicken Marsala done Columbian style. The service was great! Server was so nice and taught me a little Spanish. Will definitely eat here again. I especially liked the art work at this location… some chubby girl artsy pictures on the wall. Lol

Customer Service: Top notch! We ordered delivery from here and the food arrived exactly when they said it would. When the delivery guy left we opened up our food only to realize that two of our items were missing. Since we were all very hungry we dug into what we could while I called to ask them where the missing items were. Even though I was a raging bitch, the woman who answered was very nice and admitted her mistake. She packed the bags herself only to realize the two missing dishes were in a separate bag that she forgot to give to the delivery guy. Rather than waiting for the guy to come back and pick up the bag, she left the restaurant herself and came over to drop them off. We were really surprised and incredibly pleased with how quickly she showed up and how apologetic she was. Food: Excellent! We ordered the arepitas, lomo salteado, beef and chicken empanadas, lengua en salsa, bandeja paisa, pure de papas de cilantro, yuca, and rice and beans. All the portions were large and everything tasted fresh and homemade with fantastic flavor. The little sauces that came with our food were spicy and delicious. I even saved the ones we didn’t use, they were that good! Just an FYI, the beef empanadas have potato in them. Not that we minded. We love potatoes so it was a nice surprise for us. Again, it was super flavorful and the sauces were delicious with it. If it weren’t for the great customer service and quick response, I may have given 4 stars. But we really appreciated how quick they were to correct the error and take full responsibility.

This place is great! I went here a while ago with some friends and we had an awesome dinner. This place is informal and every time I go there it makes me feel like im back in south America. I LOVE their deserts. The flan is my fav(only try it if you are actually a «flan fan» hehe). Go here if you are craving empanadas or just any good authentic south American soul food. I highly recommend!

Holy Empanadas Batman! There are a lot of delicious items on their menu, but the main event are the empanadas. I have come here just to pick a few up when I was in a hurry. If you lined up 20 and I wasn’t really hungry, then I’d eat 19 and take one to go. So, so good! Throw in some potatoes, chorizos, and coffee and you’re good to go. Yuuum!

Second time here; first time was take-out of a tamale which was delicious. It was an authentic corn tamale wrapped in green(banana?) leaves filled with chicken chunks and pork. It was delicious! My mouth was watering from the smell permeating my car on the drive home. They were actually closed by about two seconds. I saw people eating inside so I thought I’d take a chance. They were NOT going to let me take anything to go, but the girls asked the chef and, he said,“no problem”! Soooo happy they agreed!!! I bought a bottle of water too and noticed that there were empanadas and blood sausages in the case. The sweet girl behind the counter told me that they throw out what isn’t eaten at the end of night, so she put a couple of empanadas and a blood sausage in the bag to take home. That was super nice of her. I brought the empanadas home to my son. He said they were crispy and seasoned well. I believe one was chicken, the other beef. I can ONLY go by his opinion. I tried the blood sausage. I had tried before at an Argentinean restaurant in Aventura, FL before so I was comparing to THAT experience. This one was dry, basically dried out from sitting under the heat lamps so, it was not as tasty as the freshly grilled one I had elsewhere. It’s an acquired taste for sure as it looks like sausage; however, it is red; dark red like dried blood(hence, the name,“blood sausage”) and it is really hard to describe the taste. It SHOULD be moist and seasoned well. Again, it was a freebie so, I really have no business complaining. I returned with my son for breakfast there a few days later. We had egg whites with some type of arepa with cheese, but a different type. An arepa is a corn cake with white cheese similar to mozzarella. Theirs is NOT melted inside which I’ve had elsewhere as well. It was tasty, but different. The egg whites were scrambled with tomatoes and onions and were quite good. The breakfast came with café con leche(coffee with milk) or regular coffee OR expresso, whichever you preferred and breakfast was quite inexpensive for the portions received. In fact, my son had ordered a side of potatoes which our server forgot to bring; however, my son said he was too full anyway and couldn’t eat another bite. It’s okay; mistakes happen. It wasn’t anything to be upset about. The place doesn’t have a lot of appeal inside, but it’s a cute little free-standing type of house facing 441(State Road 7) with a gas station that was closed sitting empty for years behind it, but NOW open for service in the Sandalfoot area. The food is good, coffee excellent and the staff cheerful and friendly. Check them out but, DO get there early on weekends for their breakfast because they DO get swamped.

We went here after Padrino’s Cuban Cuisine. We had a bad experience at Padrino’s and had to redeem ourselves. This place looks like a hole in the wall but the desserts we had were delicious. I saw the Alfajores behind the glass and nearly peed my pants in excitement. These amazing cookies remind me of my trip to Argentina. They are SO good. I ordered two for each of us and a Tinto(columbian coffee) for us to split because it was already late at night. The service was good too. The women were very helpful and willing to explain the different pastries behind the counter. I’m going to try and go back before I leave to taste their food!

I am a gringo that loves sancocho y bandeja paisa! My gf brought me here on a sat for a «amazing soup». little did i know what a sancocho was! let me tell you its incredible. its got meat potatoes rice banana corn and so many other flavors! i also tried the bandeja paisa which is a platter of a steak some fried pork rice beans and a fried egg. weird combination i thought at first but man it was delicious! you must try their manzana postobon drink its an apple flavor soda. The place is small but clean the ladies that work there are very friendly and the service is fast. they are very attentive asking if you need additional things. The portions are big so i didnt taste anything else but i will be coming back here again.
