Lucky Nails

If I could rename this establishment (though maybe not the most creative of names), I would go with Unlucky Nails. Not only did I wait for what felt like an eternity after being told to sit down at a station but the manicurist did a horrible job. It was so bad, I had to point out that hairs from the nail-​polish brush were stuck in my nail and had to have her redo them not once, not twice, but three times. When I asked for a discount or the job for free (as should have been offered), nothing was done. Getting a manicure should be a fun and relaxing experience — I left frustrated, angry and with a tragic excuse for a manicure.

Worst experience ever. I went in for a simple fill job and was quoted $ 34. In addition to that the nail tech told me it’s going to be another $ 5 to reshape my nails. I was angry and told him I won’t pay that extra charge but since no one speaks proper English you are basically screwed. He was rude and rushed me when I was picking out my color. He was so impatient he actually walked over and picked out a color for me. He did such a rush job that the next day my gel color cracked and bubbled. I shouldn’t have left a tip but I know I will never go back there!

Went to this nail salon recently and the manicure I got was not great. Polish was sloppy and my nails were filed crookedly. Manicurist was trying to be fast and I definitely didn’t feel pampered at all. Pretty disappointing.

I have used the salon for about 5 months. I do note recent new owners and I’m not sure about how it will go. But I love the young lady that does my nails. She is very sweet and her nails stay on well for a month if I need them that long. I will say if this young lady and her husband leave I’m not sure I will go there. I don’t find the other staff easy to communicate with. But I do enjoy my experience here. I can’t remember her name but she does her work on the first row of seats to the left. And her husband works beside her. They are both great.

After a year of going to Sonny for my nexgen, I was devastated when I went in and found out the salon had been sold. I too was asked by the new owner to give them a chance… BIG MISTAKE. The techs are inexperienced and lazy! I was left with red nexgen powder stains on my fingers. When I asked her to please clean it off she sent me to the sink. It did not come off. She advised me to go home and shower and it would come off. Two days later and I still have powder stains on my skin. Awful salon, AVOID IT! If anyone finds out where Sonny is, please post!

I have been a regular customer of lucky nails for over a year Sonny was the absolute best of the best at nexgen and have been nothing but pleased With my nails each time, Until now. Supposedly they have new management or new owners and everyone there now is new. No one there knows how to do NexGen! Sonny was the best!!! And now he is gone… does anyone know where he is? I will not come back to this salon… Please post if anyone knows where sonny is I will follow.

Tricked by reviews on Unilocal!This place might have been good before, but now it’s entirely unpleasant and I’ve had a terrible experience. I don’t plan on coming back ever again.
First time I walked in, I was greeted by two nail techs that was already busy, while other staffs were hiding in the back. Before starting my nails, I asked how long it was going to be since I only had an hour to spare, I was told half hour,… It ended up close to an hour before he finished. Unfortunately, the nail tech that performed on me didn’t speak much English, and he didn’t understand what I wanted. He tried to hush me up by just saying no and okay over and over again. So I got very basic nexgen nails and it was alright, not the best. What annoyed me was, he refused to trim my natural nail and then the nail extension broke off two days later.
I went back in a week to try to get it fixed, and again, had to wait for a staff as they were hiding in the back. The women that was doing my nail was distracted the entire time by greeting everyone and getting up running around to do other things, NOT MY NAIL. Of course, I don’t have a problem with her being friendly to other customers, but what could have been done in 5 mins took her much longer than necessary… Wasted MY TIME waiting on her. I constantly had to shake my hand to remind her I’m still here since she kept staring up talking to others. At the end, the nail that she fixed was in an entirely DIFFERENT SHAPE than the rest of my nails, which was almond, and she DID NOT filed it down nor shaped it to the desired look after I requested. I paid for the fixed nail, tipped her and got out.
Nexgen nails are suppose to be durable, but I’m not sure anyone there knows how to do them properly since they just kept breaking off because they don’t know how to place an extension so it’s not at a weak stress point. After paying to get my broken nail fixed (that broke only TWO DAYS of having them-​and I don’t rough up my hands), my pinky nail and ring finger nail flew off a little after. This is not something that normally happens, as they’re suppose to be much more durable and I’ll never be back or recommend anyone here again. It also doesn’t help to overhear other customers talking about how this place is under new management because there are different staffs… While the my nail lady tried to hush her up by saying ok repeatedly too.

I’m super happy with this salon. I went after looking at reviews for nail salons in Boca because I haven’t been able to find a good nail tech to do my acrylics since my old one moved out of town. It’s surprisingly hard to find someone who is good at acrylics. I went to Lucky nails and Julia did them for me and she is definitely one of the best I’ve ever had do my acrylics and I’ve been getting them done for many years. My sister went at the same time and had Ken do her pedicure and she was just as happy as I was and said he is the best nail tech she has had. So I definitely recommend this salon! And the prices can’t be beat.

What a find! I moved to Boca a few months ago, and have struggled to find a great nail salon. This is it for me. I loved the way my pink and white NexxGen nails looked when Sonny was done. What really amazed me was when people stopped me at work to ask me where I had my nails done. They look that good! Their prices are very reasonable, and the salon is extremely clean. I won’t be going anywhere else.

They were great and even though did not go in expecting to get my eyebrows waxed did so and it was great!
Usually the massage during the pedicure can be a little rough for me but not here.

Feel very «lucky» (pun intended) to discover this gem of a salon to feel pampered, thanks to reviews from other Unilocalers on here! Lucky Nails is a family-​owned business that was procured from another owner. Although I did not know the previous owners, I am very pleased with the current ones. They greet you immediately upon entering with a gracious «hello» and a friendly smile making you feel special. I was even greeted by my first name upon entering, this being only my second visit making me feel as if owner cares about their patrons. The salon is very clean and well-​laid out considering a small, corner space in a shopping center close to the turnpike entrance next to Office Depot. The new owners have been in the location just over a year and seem to have settled in nicely.
Although the first nail techs were not here to do my mani/​pedi today, I was very pleased with the other techs performance. Needless to say, I have found my new haven for nails.

Had my first visit today for Nexgen nails. Very pleasantly surprised. Salon is clean and bright. Staff is friendly and Sky did a great job. Cannot wait to return for a pedicure.

Family owned and run by Vietnamese, Lucky Nails is a fabulous little studio. They give great attention to detail with their manicures and pedicures. They also do waxing and anything else one may require.
I got a Pedicure, and had a chair back massage at the same time — it was wonderful! Prices are good too.
