Simple order and they couldn’t get it straight. May try again, may not. Is It worth the aggravation?

Saturday night, last minute went to P. F Changs… There was a 40 minute wait… So searched chineese food near me. Found Pei Wei, had never been here so thought I would give it a try. The three of us ordered teriyaki, Kung pao chicken and honey seared chicken… Oh and the new king pao sushi roll. Everything was amazing… The kung pao was my favorite. It was half the price of P. F Changs and just as good. The nice gentlemen that took our order was very helpful in suggesting things to try and finding my new rewards account that I had created in the car on the way there. Will be visiting again soon. Isa

Not bad Asian food the exception being the wonton soup that would’ve been delicious headed not been loaded with salt beyond any other flavor otherwise pretty good

There’s a reason this location has only three stars. I ordered Dan Dan noodles with unbreaded chicken and they didn’t even know what I meant. I got sliced breaded chicken. The cucumber was sliced rather thick. Like someone got lazy. I remember eating here a long time ago and not liking the experience then either. Sigh.

I ordered the sweet and sour plate with tofu. The tofu was sliced thin and had the consistency of shoe leather and the brown rice was dry. The sushi rice was also dry and was without the sweet sushi vinegar flavor. The food was inexpensive, but tasted like it. Contrary to the Unilocal review that enticed my wife to come here, it is not a good place to bring a date.

Disappointed in this location. I have eaten at this chain in another state and it was a world of difference. Sticky floors, stale rice, and the vegetable spring rolls oozed a quart of oil when they brought them to the table. The waitress watched me soak up the grease with 3, yes 3, napkins and didn’t say anything. Really Pei Wei? Show a little pride in yourself.

I came in to order a takeout order tonight and was greeted with smiles and chipper attitudes from all of the staff. My ordering process was great. And then… As I was waiting, the manager, a shorter lady with a long blonde pony tail came out and started barking loudly and offensively to the kitchen staff INFRONTOFCUSTOMERS. It was because of something being slightly smoky but nothing anyone had noticed until she loudly complained. It was super unprofessional and made everyone embarrassed. As if that wasn’t bad enough, the restaurant was basically empty except for a few calm customers waiting for their orders, yet she began furiously running around barking and reprimanding everyone for basically no reason, again, in front of all the customers. I have worked in restaurants my entire life and all I kept thinking was how I would never want to work in that environment ever… Or would quit after being treated so condescendingly by someone. Not the way to boost the workplace moral. I give them 2 stars ONLY because the other staff was great. She needed to take a serious chill pill.

I think they are pre-cooking the meats. Tried Kung Pao chicken and it tasted very salty and dark. Meat was tough, like it was cooked 2x. Same with Dan Dan Noodles. Everything tastes like cooked on ‘burnt oil’. I love PF Changs and order these dishes all the time, they are wonderful when cooked right, which they always are at Changs.

Good price for food freshly made. I love their pad Thai! Is suitable for vegetarians. My favorite dish it’s the Vegetables and Tofu PadThai. When ordering take out make sure to ask for utensils and napkins. No tips

Well, either I ordered the right thing, and my fellow Unilocalers didn’t, or I just got lucky and came on a good day, but I was very pleased with my Pei Wei meal. Take a look at my pictures, there is a good balance of the Thai Dynamite Chicken entrée and the brown rice, not a meager portion of the entrée in comparison to the rice, as someone else mentioned in their review. There is a good variety of color and vegetables too. If you like P.F. Chang’s but don’t have the time to sit around and wait for your meal to come out and if you want something less formal and cheaper, then Pei Wei is your answer. Since Pei Wei’s parent company is P.F. Chang’s, you can expect similar quality, but different menu choices when ordering from them. Whereas P.F. Chang’s is strictly Chinese, Pei Wei offers such options as sushi and Thai dishes. By the way, they also offer Gluten-free options, kid’s menus, and vegetarian options. It is evident that there is something for everyone, and for less than $ 10, you can walk out of there with a hefty dinner that isn’t dripping in fat and has some nutritional value. My friend had never been to a Pei Wei, and I nudged him to give it a try, as I had eaten it once in Kendall and liked it. Before going on our trip to New York, we decided to have dinner here, as we had a very early morning flight and could not afford to waste time with waiters and slow kitchen turnaround. It was a couple of blocks away from his place, but he had never eaten here. We entered and browsed the menu. He liked the prices, and the different sauce and vegetable combinations and options, so that already made a good impression. There was perhaps 1 person in line before us, so waiting to place our order was not an issue. We got our food pretty quickly. He ordered a hot and sour soup and the sweet and sour beef, and I ordered the Thai wonton soup and Thai dynamite chicken. The soup was good, unlike any other wonton soups I’d had, as it had Thai basil and lemongrass, different from your standard wonton soup. It had three wonton noodles, which is a reasonable amount in conjunction with the small cup. My entrée was very tasty, hot, and with crunchy vegetables. I was very pleased. My friend said his beef was tender, and you know beef can be hit or miss at Asian places. He could not even finish his entrée because he had gotten full. «He likes it! Hey, Mikey!» It seems my friend liked it! He now goes here at least once a week or every 2 weeks if he doesn’t feel like cooking at home. I wish there were a closer location to me(the closest is about 10 miles and in the parking nightmare that is Coral Gables, ugh). It’s a good option for grab and go when you’re not wanting to sit around waiting for delivery and paying a tip.

I really used to like you Pei Wei. I’ve tried several of your restaurants and consistently(over the last year) you have disappointed. Today, this Boca trip induced me to write a review. I do like the honey seared veggies and tofu dish. However, the tofu needs to be cooked way more. It was mushy and only the outside slices were seared. Not sure that I like it served in a bowl, rather than plated side by side like before. However, that might be something to just get used to. The honey seared sauce is my favorite and the veggies were cooked well. The time. It was not busy(no wait in line and empty tables) and it took a little less than 20 minutes to receive one entrée. It’s just not cool for business lunch time. I would understand if there were lots of people ahead of me, but this seems to be an issue at other Pei Weis too. I will say the cleanliness was better here than I have been experiencing at the Fort Lauderdale stores. Most have sticky floors, unkept tables, and hurried staff that barely have time to get the food out. I do like the basket of fortune cookies. Perhaps the fortune should read — Life is too short to waste your time on mediocre things. Pei Wei, you’ve got a lot of potential. Hope things turn around.

Stopped by for lunch and had a small steamed honey seared chicken with brown rice. It was a great meal. This place has been solid since I’ve been coming. I didn’t like that the silverware was slightly dirty. Everything else beside that was on point.

after being such a fan of P.F. Changs, Pie Wei has done nothing other disappoint me. The majority of food here is just bad down to one time i ordered a soup that literally tasted like dog food. The only upside is that the staff is great

Excellent food and the customer service and people working at this location were incredible. No I don’t work there this is not a fake post. Truly impressed this time I went and I’ve gone several times. Great tip: if you get a stir fry wit rice ask for it tossed and all the sauce and the whole platter will already be mixed in the rice. You’ll be happy you did.

A few weekends ago I stopped in here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. I have not been to a Pei Wei in a few years & I remembered it being good. Times change… and now it really wasn’t that good. Not as good as I remembered anyway. My friend and I shared the Hot & Sour Soup because the bowl is gigantic. Definitely enough for two people to share. I loved the soup. It was full of flavor & without a doubt I would order it again. I ordered two Crab Wontons. You can buy them by the piece which is perfect if you do not want a full order. They had bits of scallions in it & a lot of crab. Not sure if the crab was real or imitation but they were very good. I ordered the large Pei Wei Spicy meal with beef. I am glad I ordered the large portion because my plate was 90% rice & a very small portion of my main dish. This dish had zero flavor. I tried adding hot chili oil, duck sauce, soy sauce… just about anything to give it some flavor but nothing helped. The fried rice was basically white rice with a little soy sauce & it was clumpy. The carrots & snap peas were not cooked enough so I really just ate the small amount of beef that was in the dish. My friend ordered the large Kung Pao Chicken with brown rice. He also received a small portion but not as small as mine. His dish was quite tasty. He thought his meal was good. I tasted his chicken & it tasted good to me too. At least it had some flavor unlike my dish which was bland & flavorless. I probably will not return. Just so many other places in the area that are so much better & give you a better value for your money. The highlight of my meal was the free standing Coke machine.

One of my favorite places to go for a quick style dinner! I always order the ginger broccoli with tofu and vegetables-delicious! One time i tasted my friends chicken pad thai and it was out of this world-a spicy peanut taste! My sister and dad have ordered the lettuce wraps multiple times which are always yummy. Big portions, decent prices, fresh taste and good quality food. The flavor compares to any upscale restaurant with this type of food. The atmosphere of pei Wei is also great, very modern and authentic. Lately I’ve been eating here once a week, so I’d definitely recommend it!

Some of my favorite things in life seem to always lead me to Asian food. This chain is owned by PF Changs. It offers tons of food, which can cater almost any dish for a vegetarian. For me, that is striking gold. When you walk into one of these establishments, head for the counter. Once you place an order and pay, they give you a red plastic number. The number goes strategically on a metal stand, so the service staff knows where to bring it. For drinks, they have a fancy fountain coca cola machine. I tend to fill up my cup with the most sugary drink possible, so I can complain later about gaining weight. Overall, this place hits the top of my charts for quick asian food. I am a fan of the honey seared tofu(extra tofu) with a side of brown rice and veggies. I am salivating just thinking about this.

Pretty decent chain Asian fare with friendly staff behind the counter. Think the fast food equivalent of P.F. Chang’s, its sister company. They will, however, make things suitably spicy if you ask the right way; I usually will ask for«extra extra spicy» and mention the need for sinus clearing to get it right.
