I had called and left a message with a worker to have management give me a call and NEVER heard back only via email and I guess they get a lot of clients that are NOT happy with their work b/​c they would NOT pick up and send a new arrangement like I asked only if I paid another delivery fee… really that is spending more good money after bad money… they already ripped me off once… I will make sure I spread the word on their lousy work and customer service…

I ordered a $ 100+ bouquet of flowers for my mother’s 82^nd birthday. They arrived packed tightly in a vase that my mother could not get the flowers out of, in order to water; and within 2 days they were wilting and dead. My mother called twice and left messages without a response. I left a message that was not returned, all within 4 days of delivery. I called a week later and was told, that Dan, the manager would call me back. My call was never returned. When I disputed the charge with my credit card company, Dan contradicted my dispute by stating that no attempt was made to contact them. They’re not only disreputable, but dishonest too. Order flowers here at your own risk!

I have been very impressed by Petal Designs. I ordered sympathy flowers for someone in the area, and the employees of Petal Designs have been unable to deliver them for several days. (The recipient lives in a gated community so they need her to buzz them in, and it turns out she has been out of town.) Petal Designs has called multiple times to update me and give me their plan of action and expected delivery time now that they’ve gotten in touch with the recipient.
I am confused that all the positive reviews for this company are in the «unrecommended» review section! None of them look suspect to me.

These people operate off two names this name and PETALS OF BOCA… Im from NY and needed to send a boutique to send a family member in boca raton and instead of a generic 1800 flowers i thought sending it from a florist would be better. I spoke with Dan on saturday and described exactly what i wanted. A dozen long stem red roseswith sprawling greens delivered on monday between 8−10am. He promised that there would be no issues and delivered on time. He would send me and email at the end of the day. Well by 1230 there was still no flowers to my family member after a half hour of yelling and speaking with a hector and a nicole from the florist they got there flowers while i was talking to them. Although not the the style of flowers that we were talking about that was on there website. All and all i will never use this florist again and neither should YOU!!! There very unreliable !!

Used for an event. The price was average and the flowers were fine. But, company failed to deliver full order.

I was extremely disappointed with the service I received from Pedal Designs. I ordered a surprise birthday bouquet and the flowers were left on the porch for 4 days. I called pedal to confirm the delivery was rec’d by the recipient and the manager assured me that they were signed and received. It turned out the driver signed the form himself. When I called Pedal the manager (Hector) said it was not their fault and «that’s how we do things here.» He indicated that it was my responsibility to make sure someone was going to be at home. I reminded him that I did follow up to make sure the flowers had been received and it was he who confirmed they had been received, which was untrue. Hector confirmed they had made a mistake but was unwilling to provide a new bouquet or a discount. He advised they just don’t do that!?! I would expect this type of service from ProFlowers but not a local florist. It’s always been my practice to try to support local/​small businesses but I will never use this florist again in the future. They have made it clear that providing good customer service is not their priority.

Update: In 2009 I reached someone on the phone who seemed a lot younger and possibly new to Petal and to the biz so I felt less confident in the guidance I got but she was still flexible and followed my lead. Most importantly I was happy with the 99 daisies that they sent to my grandma. I feel like the value might be a little down over the years and maybe warrants more of a 4-​star but I’ll wait to reevaluate until next year.

Petal Designs has managed, using a combination of their online photo gallery and careful listening to my flailing attempts, to create flower arrangements that reflect my taste and the size and look that I want, at the price I want, perfectly.
Three years ago, after reading a good review of them somewhere, and calling other florists around Boca as well to get a feel for how well the employees understand me, I ended up using them for my grandma’s 96^th birthday. That year and the two since they’ve exceeded my (ever growing) expectations.
Their style is quite elegant but not formulaic (despite the photo gallery) and they really work with me to understand what variations on their style I want. They had my order from last year on record so it was very easy to reorder.
