This three room studio is amazing. It’s clean and well staffed. Every receptionist and trainer/​instructor is upbeat and friendly. The classes range from 5 – 8 people. Sometimes on weekends it gets a bit crowded for space so make sure to come on time. The middle room is the mini store and check in place. Then the left side is pilates and reformer equipment. The right side is spin machines and treadmills. The middle back is the Barre class room. Barre is a mix between ballet, pilates and yoga. My favorite instructors here are Elaina and Natasha. They’re hard-​core and really work you out. If you don’t like face pace cardiovascular and intense sessions, Barre might not be for you. But it’s always worth a try. Single classes are $ 18 I believe but yoh can purchase in bulk. They’re currently running a spring special for 5 classes for $ 50. I absolutely recommend this studio for a good workout!

I have been doing Xtend Barre in DC for a few years so I decided to buy a week pass and visit the Xtend Barre location in Boca Raton while on vacation. It more than exceeded my expectations. The instructors were phenomenal — incorporating new choreography that I hadn’t seen before and really challenging me in each class. I signed up for classes online so I didn’t really know what equipment, if any I needed for each class. But this didn’t prove to be a problem — they let me borrow a yoga mat when I didn’t have one and when I showed up to trampoline class without sneakers — without any hesitation — Stephanie literally gave me the shoes off of her feet so I could participate in class. Where else do you get that kind of customer service?!? I can’t say enough about this studio. All the instructors had great energy, as do the clients — who were a very welcoming and friendly bunch. Highly recommended.

Not good for group plilates. All the 1:1’s going on at the same time. No music, lots of distractions. Needs to be motivating, but isn’t because of this. Instructors seem skilled. The place tries to get all 1:1 pricely intruction from the customers.

My grandparents are the type that keep shoving food at you to get you to eat… so I found a place to work out when I went to visit. I took a spin class taught by Shannon. The class was awesome. She was a great instructor, motivating, and really pushed people. The music was upbeat and modern. It was $ 16 for the class.
The studio has two rooms, one for spin and Xtend and the other for pilates. I wanted to take the Xtend class because I really enjoy Bar Method, Pure Barre and those types of work outs. However, I couldn’t justify spending $ 35 on a class, particularly when most places charge around $ 20. I don’t think a lot of places in Boca offer it so had I stuck around longer, I might have shelled out.

It’s not just pilates anymore! And phew– I’ve been over the pilates craze for awhile now. Pilates of Boca (West) has opened an attached room for a variety of other classes including xtend (ballet, core workout), boot camp and spinning! And in my 2 days back home I managed to hit all of the above.
Stephanie (the owner) taught my xtend and spinning classes and she’s an unbelievable instructor. She also played great music during spinning, the key to any good spinning class. I was excited to hear some of the songs featured in my new favorite show, Glee (i heart)! And Nicole’s boot camp class proved to be a great workout that worked some new muscles. Felt those the next day– OUCH!
They offer all sorts of different packages, but my mom has opted for the $ 300/​month unlimited class package. It seems a bit expensive to me, but she takes approximately 7 classes a week so I guess it’s worth it.
