DON’T GO TO THIS PLACE! This review is for the Boca nail salon at the corner of Yamato and 441. I used to be a regular here but had an awful experience a few months back. Johnny, one of the nail techs botched my gel manicure. When it dried I had nail Polish on my skin! I went to complain at the front desk and they gave me a free gel manicure for my next visit — this was written on the back of a business card. I wasn’t planning on going back but reluctantly one day (a few months later) decided to go back for a mani/​pedi since I was in the area. I show up and was told that it couldn’t be honored because too much time has passed. Mind you there was no expiration date! The manager had the nerve to tell me that common sense should have told me that. I was extremely shocked that they would treat customers that way after they screwed up in the first place. No apology, nothing. Long story short, they gave me the credit but I can assure you I will never go there again. That’s not the way to treat your customers! Plus the cleanliness of the place is not the same, its getting run down. The floor is not kept clean and the place just looks tired and messy. Also I noticed a lot of new faces working there which is not surprising since management clearly sucks. Don’t waste your time and money. There are so many other nail salons options… it’s not worth it to come here.

I love this place. I am never disappointed! Even when my favorite nail girl is not there I always get a beautiful manicure. Everyone is great!!! So glad this is my local salon.

I wish the studio had different places to review their different locations/​services. First the good. The massage bar and reflexology is 5 stars easily. It is the best place to go for a foot massage. I have been to a number of places in Boca and no matter who I get I always have a great message. So if you are going for reflexology this is the place to go (West Boca Location).
Now the bad, also in West Boca just down the mall (2+ stars) The prices keep going up. Now for a regular pedicure which is nothing to write home about is 22. Also their gel manicure has gone up in price from 25 to 27. Too much for a gel polish. The other thing that is very frustrating for those of us who find a person we like, their turnover is unbelievable. They are always losing people and as soon as I find someone I like, they are gone.
In the end, the nails are just not worth it. There are other places that do it just as well for a good 10 – 15 dollars less. It is a shame because they used to have good prices.

I must say I love this salon and the people who work there however I am disappointed by what seems to be a new policy regarding pedicures. One reason I go to the salon for my pedi is to relax and enjoy the bubbling soak in hot water. Recently I was told that the techs are NOT ALLOWED to turn on the aerate option in the foot bath. why not? I was told they had to ask if it was OK. NOT GOOD! What next disconnect the massage option on the chairs? Studio, please stop cutting corners with your clients, I want my blue bubbling water, and relaxing back massage while getting my pedi. I can select any number of nail salons in the west Boca area and chose you because of the atmosphere and service, do not change what you established by cutting service options.

I have been going to The Studio for over 2 years. It took me a while to find a nail salon to call my own when I moved back to Boca. The salon is always busy & clean which says a lot about the establishment.
Stephanie is the BEST nail tech you will find! She is sweet, friendly, professional and truly knows how to make you feel relaxed & comfortable. She is a master at both manicures and pedicures. I can’t tell you how often I receive compliments on my nails. She is a perfectionist & always keeps up with the latest released colors too!

I have to say I ignored a lot of things during this NexGen nail application because I’m pretty easy going. Including non sanitized implements and an extra charge for coffin shaped nails that do not look coffin shaped (oh and she neglected to tell me about the up charge for wanting my nails shaped a certain way until it was time for me to pay). I let all of this slide until last night… After just a week and a half I have nails lifting and one nail completely popped off. Never in my life have I EVER had an artificial nail just pop clean off of my finger. I did not pay over 40 $ to have nails just pop off.

I am so upset and will not be returning, nor will I recommend this salon to any of my friends.
If you’re going to rush through putting on nexgen, at least do it right.

Was recommended to a manicurist by a friend. Made the appointment for 4:15. Came in and was told that my appt was for 4:00 and she wouldn’t be able to take me. Telephone call was listened to and I’m not sure what happened because when it got to the time the phone was muted so I couldn’t hear. No apology was given just like he couldn’t care less. This is your choice… I have been to this place a few times and always had to wait for my appt. The tech has never been on time so even if I was late they could have just worked a bit faster. furthermore, I thought that you had to be notified that your call is being recorded???
Would not recommend this place and I will be telling the few friends that go here to change to another.

I am utterly astonished at the way I was treated at this establishment, my eyebrows are a piece of art, and are to be treated like 2 angels of God. And I am staggered and dumbfounded at the way they were treated at «The Studio» if hadn’t looked in the mirror when the «eyebrow artist» was finished I would’ve asked for a full refund. My eyebrows were Burnt as a blunt on a Saturday night. I do not recommend this place and shall never return again.

I am so happy I asked an acquaintance of mine where she got her nails done! I looked up the studio online and I was able to book an appointment for my nails for the next morning! First nail salon I have ever booked online for. I love the convenience of that.
When I got to the salon I was greeted by a friendly front desk staff member who was happy to check me in. I made an appointment with Helen. I had pink and white acrylics from a previous salon and I told her how unhappy I was with them and she was able to take off my old nails and give me a new set of beautiful pink and white acrylics. The atmosphere is relaxing and I enjoyed my visit. I will definitely be back to this salon. Thank you!

I was reluctant to get my nails done here, because it’s always so busy, however using the convenience of booking online through the Unilocal app I was able to get in and out at my appointment time. Perfect! Easy and convenient.

Mani & Pedi are serious business in SoFlo and the only salon I go to is The Studio. Super clean, tastefully decorated and relaxing I love The Studio.
I’m that horrid client that makes appointments and then has to call and move around two or three times; they are always understanding and accommodating. Traditionally I do walk-​ins because of my scheduling, but now with the online app — I do my own rearranging. It’s fab.
Oh, and they have wonderful massage chairs and HGTV on marathon viewing, but a terrible magazine selection and it wouldn’t hurt if they had more polish colors more often.

I’m giving them 2.5 stars, because this experience was half good, half bad. I came here almost exactly a year ago and had a great experience, so before I arrived in town I made an appt online — fabulous, wish my salon back in ATL did the same.
Started with the pedi today, and it was just as I remembered… very thorough, very well done, my feet look and feel amazing. But then came the mani: barely took care of the hangnails and surrounding area, seemed put off when I told her I don’t cut my cuticles, tried to fix a spec of dust or something on one my nails by scraping it off and covering it up badly with a clumpy dollop of nail polish. She didn’t bother to clean up the stray spots of polish on my skin around the nails.
And of course, to top it off, they only accept cash tips. Even the smaller, less updatef and tech-​savvy of nail salons I’ve been to let you charge a tip. Here they installed a no-​name ATM at the front door instead. Here’s a tip: provide consistent service, and rethink your tip policy.
I’m giving them the remaining .5 star for sitting me next to a woman who was complaining about her chandelier, and for being soooooo stressed out about a party she’s throwing. The lolz and distraction were super. Real Housewife of Boca, perhaps?

I love to come here for my mani/​pedi whenever I am visiting my family in Florida. The prices are reasonable, and the salon is very clean. The technicians are always nice, they are friendly, polite, listen to what I want, and always do a great job!
I love that you can make appointments online, and they stick to the appointments! You never have to wait more than a few minutes when you come for your scheduled appointment.
They get very busy. I don’t think I have ever been here and not seen a significant amount of customers. I would recommend making an appointment, just because I could see there being a long wait as a walk in, but it is clear that they try to get to everyone in a timely manner.
Even if they are packed, I have never felt rushed or less taken care of. I always feel that my nail technician takes their time with me and is making sure I receive a wonderful service.
The manicures are fantastic, they also do a really good job with the gel manicures. I have family members and friends who get acrylics and they have always been very happy with the results! The pedicures are great too!
Definitely a great place to come when you want to get your nails done! I highly recommend The Studio to anyone who is looking for any of the services they provide!

I love this place. Very clean and courteous. I hardly ever request specific technicians because they are all very good. When I do request, I like to go to Mimi, or her sister Jennifer.

Beautiful and clean, rude and clueless staff, prices are reasonable but there is an upcharge for EVERYTHING.
I came in for a soak off and new pointy acrylics. After asking my tech, the receptionist told me there was no additional charge for the shape. Bibi began with sticking a tool under my acrylic and tried to rip it off, which was very damaging and painful. She was rude when I asked her to be gentle but eventually soaked the nails off. After putting tips on, she told me there was an upcharge for the color and shape I wanted. I insisted the receptionist JUST ASKED THAT but she said he was new and didn’t understand basic English apparently. She had plenty of chances to tell me this but waited so I would have to pay it. I ended up getting square nails in a different color to avoid this.
The staff was unapologetic for the «error» which was clearly a way to nickel and dime new customers. I will not go back.

So while I don’t live in Boca Raton anymore, I do come down often enough and when I do I usually visit The Studio because it’s where I’ve been going for a while. And the past year it’s really gone down. You would think I would have found a new place by now…
Ever since they had their big «fancy shmancy» renovation their service has gone down. It’s really been a «meh» experience. I don’t like to waste my time bashing places on Unilocal but I honestly left my manicure/​pedicure treatment irritated and wanted to share it with others to save you from frusteration.
Started with a pedicure, great. Then manicure, which was horrendous. Someone came over to tell the lady that was working on me that her next client was in and all of a sudden she starts rushing my service, getting fuzz from the towel into the paint, not filing correctly, and just slathering paint on without even making it look nice. It honestly looks like a 7-​year old did my nails. I asked her to fix one nail and she just let out a sigh. The lady that was up next was already by my chair before I could even get up.
I always read these type of posts and think big deal but there is nothing more frusterating than paying good money for a service and having it not be done right!
This place used to be amazing when they were in their smaller next door location. Now? It’s just all fluff. The place looks incredible but the service is sub-​par. I would save your money and time and go find somewhere else that doesn’t treat you like another piece on a factory conveyor belt. Don’t think I’ll be coming back…

I came in on a busy Saturday afternoon. The place was pretty packed, but they were still able to fit me in sans appointment for an eyebrow wax, mani and pedi. Not only was I pleasantly surprised that they could fit me in, but also shocked at how quick they were. With everything. The whole thing took about an hour. Note however that I only got polish on my feet. My hands were a straight cleanup, meaning no polish. But even then the pedicure was super friggin quick, not to mention precise and clean on top of that. The eyebrow wax was also precise and done quickly. And the total cost was great, too. Definitely cheaper than I expected.
Overall they clearly work very efficiently here and charge extremely fair prices.

Just had my nails done here and have to say they look amazing! Friendly staff, very clean and very professional.
Andy was fantastic and so nice I had the stone pedi and pink and whites /​I asked for the darkest pink and they came out so pretty! I have been to many salons in Boca and finally found one that I really like.

I went to Boca to meet up with a friend. We decided to get pedicures. She absolutely raves about this place.
I had a stone pedicure. It was enjoyable. The nail tech gave an awesome foot massage. This particular pedicure includes an extended massage as well as paraffin and a mask. My feet felt so good after. I also asked her to do a french manicure on my toes and she did a great job.
They are not really that close to me but if you live in West Boca they are worth checking out.
