I had the best experience at this Hotel. First of all, the front desk gal Cristina was extremely helpful and attentive. The junior suite was perfectly sized and had a stove, fridge and sink replete with plates, glasses and silverware. The linens were a high thread count. The pillows were very comfortable which I loved. The maid service was discreet. They didn’t bang on the door too early like I’ve experienced in the past. The bathroom was clean and shiny too. Plus, the free breakfast was spot on! I will be back for sure. Thanks to the staff who were very, very kind. This type of great customer service is SUCH a breath of fresh air. It gives me Hope! Well done!

A late-night, last-minute emergency left me needing to get a room for the night. I called this hotel, and«Jamie» was very nice. I was using my Marriott points and he was very helpful and accommodating. I appreciate the good customer service! Check-in was easy. The room was clean and functional; bed very comfortable. It had everything you could possibly need. There was a full kitchen in the suite. There isn’t a free breakfast here. But, the wi-fi and parking is free. This hotel is right off I-95 at the Yamato exit. The Tri-Rail train system, that will take you all the way to Ft. Lauderdale and Miami, is very close — right across the street. So, if you are looking for good public transportation to the Miami/Ft. Laud. area, this is a good hotel for that. It’s just a quick walk to the train station.

I stayed here for about a month while a family member was in hospice care. I needed a place that was affordable and dog friendly. Townplace fit the bill on both fronts. Jennifer in sales was a pleasure to work with. The lack of fifth star speaks to the tiny pool and fitness center which is not a huge deal as you can use the facilities at Springhill. El Rio trail near the property is amazing for an evening or early morning run. They are in the middle of upgrading the kitchenettes available in each room. There is also a gas grill at the pool too! I recommend this place to anyone looking for a long term stay in S. FL who wants the comforts of home while away from home.

Mr. Marriott Jr.‘s «liaison» contacted us after we wrote another letter. It seems that Marriott believes the exterminator who wrote that he did not find any bugs in the room, even though we saved them for him to look at. He examined them with us in the room along with the head of housekeeping. Major cover up on all ends. Everybody seems to lie. The“liaison” ended up offering us points towards a stay at another Marriott and refused to refund any money. She told us that the night they moved one of us to another room due to the jumping bugs in our beds, we were technically in two rooms, and they only charged us for one. That was how they feel they helped us! Aren’t they generous? I already threw my rewards card away. In this economy, with so many wonderful hotels, I would stay far away from Marriotts.

As Marriott reward members, we have stayed many times at Marriott and their affiliates such as the Towneplace Suites. We were on our way to Boca Raton, Florida to visit our daughter who is attending the University of Miami medical school. This place was easy to find as it is off of Yamato Road which is a main exit off I-95. We arrived late on Thursday and were beat tired after our long flight from San Francisco. Like most suites, it has a full kitchen. We were thankful for the full size refrigerator as I had some frozen food(deem sum) for daughter. We didn’t use the kitchen as our stay was only one night. It doesn’t offer a continental breakfast, but the clerk said that one was available at the adjacent Spring Hill Suites(also part of the Marriott) for $ 5/person. We decided to eat there. It was nothing special, but the nice thing was that we weren’t charged because of our Marriott Rewards membership. Also the the two adjacent suites are owned by the same owner. The rooms are clean, the staff are friendly, and internet service is available at the front desk. The rooms are a little cramp, but manageable. The rather loud cooling system cycles on and off and is a little disturbing.
