After charging me, two calls from two different sales guys, forgetting I already signed the agreement. I needed to reschedule the pickup. Been calling them for two days. No response, no emails. It’s like there’s no one there… Garbage

Quote given and price agreed on… then when the mover shows up with your car, it’s $ 100 more than the agreed-​on price.
What happens is the price you agreed to is ‘subject to change’ and depends on the ‘availability of the carrier’. So if you want your car on time you have to pay for a carrier who will do that for you, which will cost extra. If you aren’t willing to pay the extra $ 100 they will hold your car until a carrier agrees to bring it to you for the original price. This could take days or weeks.
Vantage should be a little more honest and up-​front about the price and provide an invoice. very shady

They are pure fraud, cheat and scam. The same thing happened to me like others here. I regret that I did not see these reviews here before dealing with them.

Horrible customer service, broker had everything set up before the date, he kept conforming that everything is grate, day of the move they still didn’t locate me a driver.

Like everyone, they provided me with a cheap quote. Now day of moving, no one shows up and they hike up the price by $ 200. Don’t use them and Todd is a liar. doesn’t explain the details in this process.

First time shipping my car across the country and Vantage Auto Movers literally made this the worst consumer experience of my entire life. I would give gas station restrooms a better review than them because at least you know what to expect when you enter it.
Vantage Auto Movers made it seem like they were really reliable. I had put my information into one of those horrible get a quote from a bunch of companies website and theirs were the cheapest so of course that’s how I ended up with them. I had scheduled a move for the end of July in April and they said that because I scheduled it so far in advanced there it’s cheaper and there’s a guarantee that my car will have a driver available. So around June I called to confirm and they said everything was still in order.
Day before delivery day, I called them in the morning and left a message to ask about what time I should expect them to pick up my car and they never got back to me. I figured that the truck driver would probably call me tomorrow and waited. The day of the delivery I waited until about 10:30 in the morning to call Vantage and they still didn’t answer. I finally got a hold of someone an hour later and spoke with Josh about the pick up. He said that there wasn’t anything scheduled since the date I had given him was a «first available date» the car would be ready. I told him that that wasn’t acceptable since I had a very specific time frame and I can’t wait indefinitely for my car to be picked up. He said he would try to call some drivers and get it scheduled as soon as he can and that he’d get back to me within an hour.
After getting off the phone with me I went online and found the other reviews for Vantage and felt like a completely idiot for not seeing this before I decided to give them my deposit. I was nervous and didn’t trust them and began looking at other companies. I found Ship a Car Direct and spoke with Scott who told me he could see the listing of my car and the reason why it probably wasn’t scheduled yet was because the price was too low. So had I not called anyone my car would’ve never been picked up. Vantage later went ahead a jacked up the price $ 300 without telling me and figured that I would just go through with it. I canceled with them because they’re liars and went with Ship A Car Direct which helped arrange my very specific schedule and a reasonable price. AND I didn’t even have to pay until there was a guaranteed carrier and scheduled pick up and delivery date.
TL;DR — Vantage Auto Movers suck. DON’T GO WITH THEM THEY ARE LIARS AND THEY JUST CARE ABOUT YOUR DEPOSIT.

do not pay the $ 100.00 fee up front!!! do not sign any contract with them. They will gladly take your money and then never ship your vehicle. this is a rip off company !!! Take your business elsewhere. They DO NOT perform as they promise to. They quote low, then no one takes your vehicle because of the low price. You wait, and wait, meanwhile you have already lost your up front fee paid to a scammer.

When I was given a quote to transport a car to CA– I called to schedule a pick up based on the quote. When I called they gave me a different quote. I responded right away with no delay and I was placed on hold several times…

Its actually not bait and switch. I was reassigned leads from a person who was under quoting, so instead of telling you i could perform a task that i more likely cant i was honest with you. So please sir be my guest go find a low quote and get screwed over.

After reading reviews (surprisingly at that time there was only 1 bad one), so I went for this company and signed the contract which stated: «The standard brokerage fee is 20% of the total cost of the transport» which was $ 150 out of $ 750 that I paid at time of the signing.
The truck driver came on scheduled time, picked up the car and gave me an estimate time for delivery in 4 days. He called 24 hours prior delivery to tell us to prepare a «cashier check» for $ 900 (that is the catch) at the time of delivery. We called the company and they told us that according to our contract this is a correct amount. I’ve tried to reach Adam-​the owner– a few times to straiten the issue, but he never picked up the phone nor returned my calls. After going back to posted reviews I understood the way this company operates and gets the business: they give the low quote, but the truck driver won’t sign up to take the car for this quote. So, they jack up the quote for the driver in order to transport your car and you end up paying more $$$ to get your car back. You have no choice.
Now, after posting my review on Transport Reviews I got an email saying that they took off my review because I’m not their customer and I submitted copied email from Vantage Auto Movers with the quote #, which they couldn’t find in their files. How convenient!!!
My next step to file a complaint with BBB.
Please don’t fall for THEIR LOW QUOTE! THIS COMPANY SHOULD NOT BE IN THE BUSINESS.

They are quick to give you a cheap price to ship your car and collect your deposit.
And when they don’t ship your car they say you can’t have your deposit back you signed a contract and it says you have 48 hours to cancel.
And then never picking up your car.
And then never calling you back.
They should be out of business!

Don’t let the cheap price they offer fool you. They are a scam! I went through the same exact situation that every single person here has complained about it. Clearly that’s how they operate.

Do yourself a favor do NOT use Vantage, I had reserved a pick up about 2 weeks in advance to ship from LA to Oakland CA not that far at all. I keep calling Andy to touch basis with him, when I did not have a driver assigned by Thursday for a Sunday pick-​up I was very concerned. It was already stressful I was going to LA to potentially purchase a Used car so I did not want to risk driving 6hrs so they quoted me like $ 250 which I thought was a good price. My pick-​up was scheduled for a Sunday which their customer service is closed so I asked Andy what if no driver shows up what am I supposed to do? Fast forward no driver, no call, no pickup. I had to leave the car I had just purchased in LA. I called them Monday immeadiately asking what happend they told me they had to check their voicemails to find out where the driver was and what happend? By then I already scheduled a pickup with Brad at Lightning Auto for $ 300 who had my car picked up immediately, the dispatch called me very frequent to update me on the status and I got my car in like 2 days. I told the guy at Vantage to refund my $ 50 deposit and I would make my own arrangements. Dont waste your time with this company, they are a broker and all they cared about was my $ 50 deposit, I think they already knew no driver was coming.

I don’t know how I missed these Unilocal reviews when I was first booking, but I’m really sad that I did.
I found Vantage through one of those «Get Quotes from Lots of Dealers!» type of websites. After sorting through about 30 quotes, Vantage had the lowest one by far. I called them and spoke to Sam who then informed me that «the computer just auto sends quotes so let me recalculate.,» and not surprisingly it came out to significantly more. That should’ve set off enough alarms to make me go elsewhere but alas, after dealing with about 6 different vendors for our cross country move, I really just wanted to get it over with, so I paid the $ 100 deposit and went for it.
The week leading up to my pickup, I confirmed with Sam twice that it would be picked up on Monday. When Monday hit, I let it go til 4 pm without hearing anything before calling them. Sam didn’t answer so I called again and got Adam, who I believe is the owner. Adam informed me that nothing was scheduled for my car but that he’d work on it and would call me back in a few hours with what he could do.
I emailed Sam expressing my frustration at the fact that I was basically going to sit around all day without my car ever getting picked up despite my confirming, and I kid not you, got this email back from him — VERBATIM:
«Incorrect. I told you it was SCHEDULED to move today. My dispatchers are responsible for arranging the transport and if there isn’t a driver coming right this second, it means there isn’t one currently available, YET. Please allow us to do our job and we will be in touch when the first available driver is coming.»
Who talks to a customer like that!!!
From thereon I only dealt with Adam. Like many other Unilocalers, they proceeded to jack my quoted rated up another $ 200 on my pickup day which I paid for because again, I’m dealing with a cross country move, about to get on an airplane, and not really wanting to go through the whole process of finding another auto mover again.
Anyway, YOU’VE BEEN WARNED.

After numerous phone calls with the company, they told me they was still trying to work it. I told him that it was ridiculous that i had to wait this long. That’s when they brought up the contract about how your deposit is not refundable after 48 hours of signing the contract. Went with another company and they told me all about this company on how they are a scam.

I paid my deposit when I received an offer to move my vehicle. A week and a half later the driver never showed up. After numerous phone calls with the company, they told me the driver canceled because there was a shortage of drivers. A few days later they called back and say it would be an additional $ 300. The additional was due to a fuel surcharge, even though everybody knows a few prices have gone down. I told him that it was ridiculous that I had to pay the additional $ 300 due to a fuel surcharge when their original driver was a no-​show without a phone call. And then I told him that I would just cancel the whole thing. That’s when they brought up the contract about how your deposit is not refundable after 48 hours of signing the contract. I told him that it was not my fault due to the Driver they brokered was a no-​show. I even filed a complaint with the BBB.

This is a nationwide broker vehicle transport broker that is quick to provide a really low quote, take a down payment from the customer and then never follow through.
Remember this is a broker that sets you up with the truck. Once you agree to their price, they submit a quote to the drivers at their price to pick up your car. The quotes are so low that the transport trucks don’t sign up to take the car. You as the customer won’t know anything is wrong until your pick up day comes and goes without any movement on your car.
When you call to see what went wrong, they either won’t answer the phone, won’t call you back or they’ll tell you the person you need to speak with is unavailable.
If/​When you do get in contact with someone, they’ll tell you that you received a misquote and give you a higher quote. You either pay or don’t get your car.
It’s important to note that the contract you signed states that if you don’t cancel within 48 hours, Vantage Auto Movers gets to keep the brokerage fee. If you work with another auto mover, it says in the contract that they get to keep the fee. Also, they aren’t liable for any issues between you and the truck. It’s a money pit and scam. Please don’t use this service!
