Wooden Duck Antique Shop has some interesting items, but the inventory does not change much. A high percentage of the pieces were there a year ago. There is a good selection of items from California & some art depicting the local landscape.

I don’t care about antiques so I can’t really say much about it. I just saw lots of stuff I don’t want or need. Silver spoons, tea sets, guns, silver, glass, ships wheels, whale oil lamps, etc. I was in there about 10 mins. and an old lady was sitting by the fireplace, the man working there didn’t seem to care about us though he did look at us a few times. It was hot inside(due to the fireplace being used) on a cool Fall day Sat 11÷17÷07. Across the street from Potter School House. Open: Sat & Sun 12−5p

This isn’t a junk shop claiming to sell antiques, this is the real deal. Fancy spoons, dishes, and furniture are neatly arranged in this small shop. Bring your wallets, the items here are pricey! It’s across the street from Potter’s Schoolhouse [from the movie, The Birds]. Some dude said to us, «Hey, have you seen the Birds?», and then told us, «Yeah, this antique shop is also in the movie… the lady in the gift store was really impressed that I knew that». I think he was hoping that we would be equally impressed… and I guess we were because we took a photo in front of the antique shop too.

This is the loveliest of antique shops run by the loveliest of old ladies. Across the street from the church of Hitchcock’s The Birds fame, the shop is in a tiny old schoolhouse, and crammed with treasures. There’s a chest-high shelf of antique silver spoons, dainty teapots and fabulous glassware, quilts, books, and even a pair of eskimo sunglasses from 1900 carved out of bone. The proprietor’s late husband was an expert on Californiana, so if that’s your bag, you’re set, and she can tell you everything about spoons you’d ever want to know. It’s good to know places like this still exist. Go while you still can.
