Nice place for lunch. Nice food presentation. Had the pizza, it was serviced on a wooden board with wine logo.

Great service and great food. Tried the tomato basil dip and mahi mahi, paired it with a nice glass of wine. Highly recommend this place.

If I could give this restaurant no stars I would. We were there for my birthday and the waiter did not bother telling us the specials. It wasn’t till I heard the other waiters telling other patrons the specials after we had ordered our dinner. I had the seafood Posole and my husband had mahi mahi the muscles hadn’t opened in mine so the waiter brought new ones to the table needless to say they tasted like Clorox. The servings are tiny and the restaurant was empty. I know why. Don’t waste your money on this place.

Truly, do not waste your money. Lunch is good but dinner is a let down. Four of us at dinner and not one meal was acceptable, lamb chops, ribeye’s and center cut tenderloin. After reading other negative reviews was apprehensive in going, should have trusted the reviews. Please trust mine.

Had high hopes of this place based on the reviews. I had the buffalo burger and was not impressed at all. It was dry and bland. Definitely not worthy of the $ 17 price tag. The atmosphere was nice and descent customer service.

I love this place! It’s a must when in town! I wish it was in Rancho Cucamonga! I had the buffalo burger, incredible! My wife had the Mahi Mahi and she loved it! Lobster raviolis are a must!

Our last night on the road & we decided to treat ourselves. Nice cold craft beer to start. Had a hard time choosing what to order — blackened scallops for hubbub & lamb chops for me. Really good. I really liked the sautéed green over goat & cheesy grits that accompanied the chops. My husband liked the homemade chocolate ice cream for desert. We will stop here again. Very nice dining room. We were under dressed because we were traveling but no one seemed to notice or mind.

Oh boy. I couldn’t have predicted this if I tried. Two visits in a row that we have left the restaurant without eating. So we thought to give this place one more chance and thought it would be safe to try a lunchtime visit since our last visit for dinner didn’t go well. Started well enough. Nice young man waited on us almost immediately after being seated and took our order after returning with some drinks. So we’re now thinking that perhaps we’re in for a good experience after the negative dinner time one we had a few weeks ago. Boy were we wrong. Waiting, waiting, waiting and no sign of our food. Funny, the tables around us who came in much later are being served, but not us. Could it be that we ordered something off the menu or exotic? Nope. Just two salads. So we wait a few minutes more and we’re done. Paid what we owed on the way out and told the nice young man, who was apologetic, that they have to do better. The sad part is that we are truly trying to like this place in our effort to live, eat and shop locally. This isn’t difficult guys. Your kitchen and wait staff need to by in sync. That simple.

After the receptionist at kendell Inn recommend this place the bf and I decided to try it out. The bf had the Chile spiced pork shank after the waiter recommended it. I had the smoked rotisserie chicken with the tomato Provencal and buttermilk whipped mashed potatoes. EVERYTHING was DELICIOUS! The bone of the pork jst slipped riiight out when trying to move it for the pic, it was that tender! Bf said it was the best pork he’d tasted, and i have to agree. It’s a bit pricey but totally worth it, and the place jst lends itself for a perfect little fancy date. will definitely be coming back when visiting boerne

Epic fail. My family and I have been coming here for years and loved the food. Today however was so bad on so many levels. My wife ordered the manager’s special which was a salad with Tuna, Brussel sprouts, etc. It was flavorless and the Brussel sprouts were raw. My son ordered the chicken strips and they brought him fried oysters instead. He bit into it and said something wasn’t right. I ordered the buffalo burger and they brought out a chicken sandwich. I pointed out the mistake and they took them back and brought out our correct dishes. Well, my burger was so raw the meat was cool and my sons chicken strips were over cooked. They only offered to cover my burger. I was surprised no manager came over to apologize and comp the meal. They weren’t even that busy. I’m afraid they have lost a customer. Shame, It was a favorite of ours.

OVERPRICEDFOODBYMCDONALDANDBURGERKINGCHEFS! My wife and I decided to give this place another chance. What a mistake! Chef Tom Stevens makes a Taco Bell fry cook look like Gordon Ramsey. The minute you taste his food you come to the realization that if he were running a prison kitchen there surely would be a riot. His food confirms what I always thought about him, he must be fat, lazy, slothful, and have no talent. The Cypress Caesar Salad looked like someone sneezed in it. The Stilton crumbles & garlic croutons on the salad looked like they had been sitting outside in the rain for a week. Fat boy Tom Stevens must be trying to kill his patrons, one bad meal at a time. A scraggly busboy waiter on meth was outside smoking a cigarette when we left. I had to ask him how could Fat Boy Stevens cook food nobody could eat at prices nobody could pay. The busboy must have been high because he told me quite a tale. He said Fat Boy tells people he went to culinary school in Colorado or Wyoming but actually dropped out after 3 weeks because he couldn’t take it. The head chef at the school expelled him after he couldn’t make an omelet and he left home crying like a baby. The Pan Seared Foie Gras tasted like cat food mixed with beef jerky. It was disgusting and nearly made me puke. The 14oz Rib-eye of Beef looked like road kill. If you can’t cook a steak, don’t put it on your menu. I ordered it medium rare and it came out overcooked. Sad way to treat meat. The Vanilla Bean Crème Brule was a puddle of junk, tasteless and useless like the rest of the menu. I can’t believe this place is still in business. Theres many better places to eat than this dive, Subway and Dennys come to mind.

Our early dinner was a strange experience, we decided to order a few appetizers and a couple of beers as a light dinner. We got the calamari and the ahi tuna nachos which were both very good. We also ordered the pan seared foie gras which we didn’t enjoy at all, it might have made an interesting desert because it smelled just like toll house cookies(honest to God). When our waitress asked how everything was, I told her about how strange it was and had her smell it and she reluctantly agreed that it smelled like cookies. I asked her to take it to the kitchen and have the chef smell it to see what he thought and less than a minute later, he was at my table challenging my pallet and assuring me that everyone who orders the foie gras loves it. He seemed personally insulted that I wasn’t happy with it and I felt as if I was being scolded for my opinion of his dish. After he left, I asked the a waitress what he said after he smelled it and she told me that he refused to smell it but just went right to our table to talk to us. She also informed us that he refused to take that dish off our bill(not that we asked it to be but it would have been the professional thing to do). If he had acted a bit more humble and was open to a small criticism of 1 of 3 dishes I would certainly go back for another chance but the chef’s snobbish attitude will certainly keep me from a return visit.

Cypress Grill is a great little gem in boerne! Enjoyed dinner with friends here and the server was very nice, prompt with the food and drinks. I had the cheese plate, and buffalo burger. Cheese plate was exactly what you’d expect it to be and the buffalo burger, while huge, needed a little more dreaming(in my opinion). Overall great atmosphere and would definitely go here again.

Another great lunch. It got a little crowded due to several large groups, but we still received good service. I had the Tuesday special, meatloaf and buttermilk mashed potatoes and a side salad. $ 11. Not bad. My friend had the other special, a prime rib and crab salad despite thinking it tasted like last nights prime rib and crab, he ate it all. $ 13. Ended lunch with molten chocolate cake. So good.

When I walked in the couple sitting next to me warned me that the service was bad. I ordered an iced tea and never saw my waitress again. I left. I went down the street to the Creek restaurant. Had the Pancetta Shrimp, excellent!

Absolutely excellent dining experience! The décor is classy-casual. There was a nice crowd, but not crowded. It was quiet — perfect for conversation! Service was good — Austin was our servers name, and he did a fine job. The food– superb! I had the 7oz sirloin with the twice baked potato and sautéed veggies. The steak was tender, perfectly cooked, and very tasty. The potato was delightful! We had the walnut pecan torte for dessert. Imagine the pecan pie they serve in Heaven. Yep, it was that good! Wine list is extensive and very good. You should do this!

YUMOLA! This was an unexpected treat. We popped in for a light lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. The ambiance was great. Quiet but busy. We really enjoyed the draft root beer! My nicoise salad was delicious as was my husband’s soup. Service was gracious and the staff friendly. I want to come back here and try more fare as soon as I can.

I found this restaurant on Unilocal while visiting Bourne for the 4th of July. I brought my family from California along and we all agree that this is a great spot for some good wine and so much tasty food! I had the Mahi Mahi and it was very much worth the price. The Syrah was very well paired with our meals too. I will be back when I visit again.
