Ordered the angus burger with grilled onions. Burger was spot on delicious… But grilled onions were stringy and they obviously used the outside pieces of the onion. The prep cook needs to chop them thicker and use the inside portion of the onions not the skin.

Went in for a second try and wasn’t that impressed. My burger was dripping with grease that soaked through the bun. My daughters chicken strips were bland and not seasoned properly. I tried one and could taste a bitter after taste, maybe old oil or not at the right temperature oil. Also, my wife ordered the Longhorn Nachos that we were surpised to find out did not come with sour cream, quesso, salsa, or guacamole.

The food is always great and the play area is perfect for keeping the kids busy until your food is ready. Their burgers and salads are really good, especially with the tots.

Burgers large but only fair. A lot of greasy stuff on the menu, hard to find something appealing. This is one of those places where you order at the counter and they call your name. The cashier was pleasant enough, but when our burgers were ready, they were set down on the counter and no one called our names. Other orders were called and picked up while the two burgers still sat there getting cold. So I went up to have a look at the names, and sure enough they were ours. There did not seem to be a manager on duty because when we called it to their attention, we were ignored. Not only did the person being addressed pay no attention, she turned away. You don’t run a business like that! I live just a couple blocks away and it was my first time in. It may well be my last.

Favorite place to take the family for a late dinner… I love the grilled chicken salad, buffalo sauce on the side and lots of homemade ranch. Yummo! Fried Pickles are a must try again with lots of homemade ranch. Chili cheese fries are delicious topped with homemade chili. My some loves grilled cheese and the large train you can play and climb on in the back of the restaurant and we usually join him outside so he can play while mommy and daddy have a peaceful meal under the stars. There is also a second floor with restrooms, an awesome view and soda refill station for overflow seating or private parties!

I loved this place! I’ve lived around Boerne for about a year and a half and always avoided this place for some reason. The other day went there for lunch with my dad, it was GREAT! My dad got a hamburger and it was a good old fashioned burger, super good. I got the chicken tenders with gravy. I am the biggest gravy conesuoser ever. And out of 10 stars theirs was about a 8.5 We also got the fried mushrooms, they were kind of bland and also extremely hot when I bit into them. Oops haha But overall amazing food will be going again. I noticed they have a play area outside which is awesome for the kids!

Really, really good place to eat. Great for groups and even has a large, shaded outdoor play area for little ones. We have never been disappointed with the food. Large portions. Order small unless you plan to share. One disappointing feature. They spent a lot of time for a drive thru that has never been used. Worst part about it… they don’t even have a sign saying they aren’t using it. I just wonder how many people wait before they realize they won’t get service that way. Order the turkey or guacamole burger!

The burgers can be very good, problem is they aren’t consistent. Too much talking going on with the employees, they need to stay on task.

Not a bad place. I would call it your standard diner fare. We were a group of 25 folks. We were able to call ahead and place our order. We were seated in an upstairs party room. We were sharing with another group which was slightly awkward, but worked out. They kept the iced down beer coming. The food varied from burgers to chicken tenders to hamburger steak. I had the ‘Horn’. Hamburger steak stuffed with cheese and jalapeños and topped with grilled onions. It was pretty good. Most people had the burgers and fries.

We just moved to Boerne and my family loves this place. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. The burgers are delicious and we love the sweet potato fries. My kids like eating outside so they can go play on the wooden trains after they finish their meal. I love the laid back atmosphere.

GREASYMEDIOCRE burgers served by stoned high schoolers. Having been a regular at the original Blanco Road location for over 25 years and also a frequent guest at the Leon Springs location, I found the service and quality lacking. A friend of mine worked at the Blanco Rd location years ago and regaled me with stories of employees stealing beer, drinking on the clock, and smoking out back. Regardless, the food usually was good and the pitchers of Shiner Bock they used to serve did the job. Then the Leon Springs location opened to cater to the Dominion and Boerne crowd. It was much fancier but was run by the same group of stoned high school knuckleheads. The food is OK there but service is spotty. Now, they have an official Boerne location and this seems to be the worst of the bunch. The greasy burgers here drip off the plate. The certified Angus Burger with jalapeños is a real tear jerker. Everything here is bathed in grease and oil. You could swim in it! Its time this chain restaurant learns to pickle their own jalapeños. The canned ones have to go! Thats just laziness on the stoned high schoolers part. The chicken fried steak is like beaten down shoe leather fried in a Taco Bell deep fryer. The appetizers consist of fried pickles, fried shrooms, fried hot wings, fried onion rings… see a pattern here? Basically you need a heart defibrillator and an ambulance waiting for you after you eat this fried crap. Whatever was in the Frito pie wasn’t meat and I’m not sure if it was even from this planet. Why did I give this 2 stars? A high school kid brought me a cold beer for free after I complained about a fly in my iced tea. Give the kid a raise but demote whoever is cooking in this dump.

We stopped in for lunch and we loved the food! We all had a cheeseburger and it had a lot of flavor. Their tater tots, fries and onion rings were awesome! It’s a nice and clean place. Not too mention they are going to have a drive thru too!!! We will be going back and bringing the rest of the family with us.

We tried longhorn for lunch on a weekday. There was no one ahead of us in line and for 1245 in the afternoon the dining room was probably about 60% full. I would give the atmosphere 5 stars. Plenty of tables and the décor made me want to come back. The bathroom was very clean as well. I would give one star for the amount of time we waited for our food. All we ordered was the lunch hamburger special, and a kids chicken nugget plate. Almost 45 minutes later we had our food! It took that long, and with two hungry kids, that is a long time for a mom to keep toddlers entertained and in their seats. I might try this place again the next time we visit boerne, but will definitely wait at least a year before doing so again. Maybe they just need to work out the kinks.

I have been going here often, so I am just going to keep adding to this review instead of posting an update each time I try something new. I have noticed that they don’t add salt to their fried foods, so you can add the exact amount that you like. I am going to view this as a positive since I like controlling the amount of salt on my food. Also, many people are on low sodium diets so this is good for them. I had the fried mushrooms on my first trip. The mushrooms that they use are huge and most weren’t cooked all the way through, they need to be cut into quarters. I finished cooking them in the oven and they were really good. On my second trip I ordered the chicken fried chicken with onion rings and fries. The portions were huge! It was enough for two full meals. The chicken was cooked perfectly, as were the onion rings, both were great. I had forgotten to run an errand, and had to do it before I went home with the food. The fries were soggy when I finally got home, so I can’t honestly review those because they weren’t fresh by the time I sat down to eat. The chicken and onion rings were both still crispy. Their gravy isn’t homemade, it’s from a mix, it’s ok but it would be so much better if they made their own. I had their chicken fried steak and it was fabulous! It was a huge serving that would usually be two meals for me but it was so good that I ended up eating it all in one sitting. It was cooked perfectly, the meat was so flavorful and this time the gravy didn’t taste like a mix. The steak was tender and moist. It wasn’t as thin as I am used to, but it’s the best chicken fried steak that I have ever had. I’m going back for another one tonight! Their queso and homemade salsa are wonderful, it’s the best salsa that I have had in years. I am very picky when it comes to salsa, theirs is pretty close to my all time favorite. It needs a little salt, but that’s easy to fix. I have gone back for more too many times to count. I am completely addicted to the salsa! I had their original big juicy burger with cheese, it wasn’t over cooked like most burgers. A nice size burger for the price. It was good but next time I want a burger I will try their angus burger. Their chili is fantastic! It comes topped with chopped onions and cheddar cheese. it’s very flavorful with a nice little bite to it. It is great by itself or as a frito pie. I am so glad that there is another place in Boerne to get chili other than Wendy’s, I tried Wendy’s frito pie and it was pretty nasty. So I have been craving a good one for months. Their grilled double cheese sandwich is great, it’s better than the ones that I make. The bread that they use stays crispy even after reheating it in the microwave for a few seconds. The staff is very friendly. It doesn’t take long to get the food. If it is going to take a while to get the food then they give you a free drink while you wait. The prices are very good, especially for the amount of food that you get. Even when they are very busy, you get your food quickly. There are many other items that I want to try, so I will keep going back and adding to this review.

We went to Longhorn last night after having a pretty good first impression from the Leon Springs location. We were extremely disappointed, they have a bunch of kids working there, who have obviously never worked a day of Food and Beverage in their lives, or they are just lazy! You can clearly see in the kitchen, there was no sense of urgency from the staff, I watched our burgers sit out in the open air for 20 mins. They were not even under a heat lamp, and the kid expo-ing food was slower than a snail! The food itself would have tasted better if it was hot! I got the turkey burger, my g/f got a burger, let’s just say Chili’s blows this place wayy out of the water! We will never go back. They should have built a Olive Garden there or something.

Second visit. A little disappointed. My chili dog was served with no chili and a burnt bun and they forgot the onions on my wife’s chili dog. Fries tasted good but were soggy with grease. Fried pickles were really good. Again the noise level was unbearable. I have never seen so many parents that just let their kids run wild. No concern for other patrons. We couldn’t eat fast enough to get out of their this time. Of course this is not the restaurants fault but we will think twice before we go again.

Good food and good prices makes for a busy restaurant in Boerne. I took the family out to eat here shortly after they opened. I had a good and reasonably priced BLT. The kids had the chicken strips which were great. The wife had the chicken fried steak what was also great. We showed up right at 7pm and it was busy. We waited about 15 minutes for our food. Overall, nice environment, tasty food, reasonable prices but the kitchen is still finding it’s groove.
