Lung Fung Chinese

Ate here tonight while visiting in Boerne. The food was amazing and the service was very good.
My husband and I shared the veggie spring rolls.
I had the Ma PO Tofu… excellent with just the right amount of spice.
My husband had the Szechuan Fried Bean Curd… so very tasty.
Our son had the fried dumplings and sweet and sour chicken. While I did not have a dumpling the sauce was incredible!
The service was very good and quite personable. Would definitely return next time we are in Boerne.

We have eaten at Lung Fung restaurants since we lived in San Antonio years back and have always enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and friendly staff. We stumbled upon finding this place looking for a place to eat out in Boerne and decided to see if it’s the same place; turns out it was the same owners! Food and service was excellent and we will for sure be coming back again for future nights out.

Best Asian food I’ve had on years. My new favorite place for Chinese cuisine. The food is real and the recipes are unique. There is nothing generic about this place!

If you want old dried out food for lunch, this is the place for you. It’s only ever been ‘okay’ at it’s very best. I’ve never left satisfied with my meal.
IMO China Bowl is 100% better.

Update! My teen-​age son is now addicted to Lung Fung — it has become the standard by which sit-​down and take-​out food is measured.
Alan and Annie (and their parents) keep us well-​fed. They know our voices on the phone and recognize us when we walk in.
Due to schedules, we are often just a «take out order» — but the entrees, egg rolls, and wontons are always fresh/​hot/​crispy! (Double-​bonus — Mr. Alan will also make it «XX Spicy» on request — and he has the right stuff to add some serious burn!!)
Lung Fung hits all of our basic needs — excellent food, good prices, and fast/​reliable take-​out service.
For the local high-​school lunch crowd, it is also a popular all-​you-​can-​eat buffet.
Thank you for bringing our little town of Boerne some excellent Chinese food!

Boerne is really lacking in its Chinese food department, but this is its best, which isn’t saying too much.
The people are really friendly and I love their eggdrop soup with mushrooms in it. yum. I usually just get a big bowl of that and call it a day.

My very first night living in Boerne, my new boss, her husband and my friend/​co-​worker went out to dinner as an ice-​breaker (I had just driven from the Tampa, FL area to start my new job).
Chinese! I love Chinese food. All the delicious smells and flavors and combinations… Chinese food is definitely my favorite type of food. Needless to say after two days of driving alone, moving to a new city, and meeting my new employers in person, I was ready for the familiar comfort of some good Chinese food.
All I can say is at least it was over quickly? Once we walked in, all I could smell was grease. I ordered my usual– a chicken lo mein dinner. The egg roll was nothing but flavorless grease (but it was hot!), and my fried rice was dry. When I started in on my lo mein, it reminded me of the cheap chain Chinese restaurant buffets– thin, greasy sauce with very fatty and dry chicken. The other dishes my fellow diners had didn’t look any more appetizing than mine.
Now, the extent of my Chinese food adventures in Texas consist of pot stickers from HEB.

I so badly wanted Chinese food tonight… I went here because it was close… It was. well… Meh…
To be honest, the caption for 2 stars is «Meh. I’ve experienced better.»… I’d say more like «Meh. I’ve had worse… Much worse.» Just look through my reviews!
Anyway, the food wasn’t bad per se, just everything seemed a little bit off. I ate my food and watched a movie. All it ok cause I don’t have a belly ache, I think next time however, I will just run to H.E.B for some egg rolls!
