Simply Serene Salon and Spa

This place is precious to walk into and pretty things await inside but the services are pricey. I had a mani, pedi and massage. The massage was terrific but my nails were quite expensive for nothing spectacular done. (I was only told they work on your natural nail so don’t go in with false nails that need work unless you’re planning to remove them.) The lotions smelled amazing, I was offered a beverage and the products were nice but I watched the tools be pulled up out of a plain drawer (seemingly not disinfected — note, my pedi chair was cleaned after I was through) and the girls working, while polite, weren’t super warm for sitting there over an hour while the services were performed. I may come back but it would be for services other than my mani/​pedis.

I took my dad and husband in for surprise birthday gifts. Favorites were the massages and facial. Now my mom wants to try them out! Cute place, too.

Kyndall is the best if you want perfect blonde highlights! I met her right before we moved and she gave me the most natural blonde highlights I have ever had! She loves doing blonde, and that’s exactly what you need in a stylist. She’s great to talk to and extremely experienced for her years in the business. Definitely give her a call!

So excited to enjoy this excellent spa! Their Spa treatments helped me physically. A day out pampering myself eased my stress. They often say that the best things in life are free, but that’s just not true with this spa experience!

I get everything done here. Massage, hair, nails and waxing! The owner, Crystal, is amazing and all her team is wonderful. It’s in a historic house with modern amenities and services. Love!

I’m surprised there aren’t more reviews on here! The ladies working here are so incredibly sweet, the salon itself is adorable and very calming, and they always do a great job on my hair. But specifically, I wanted to do a shout-​out for Bri!
Bri did the hair and makeup for my wedding, and if I tried to write about everything she did for me to help make the day as smooth as possible, I could wind up typing a novel. My hair and makeup looked beautiful, she listened very carefully to the look I was hoping for, and she was so fast and efficient, she managed to do the hair of a few other ladies in my wedding party who weren’t even scheduled to have their hair done by her that day!
Her sweet, calm and gracious temperament kept the mood of the whole «getting ready» process really low-​key. I also really, really appreciated that when she arrived a bit early to the wedding venue (and I wasn’t even there yet), she saw that my mom was laying out tablecloths in the reception area, and offered to help my mom while she was waiting for me to arrive. She didn’t have to do that, but she’s just that sweet!
I would highly recommend Simply Serene, and I would also highly recommend Bri for your bridal hair services :).

This cozy spa nestled in Boerne near the public library is a gem. The staff of young ladies clearly like working there together, and the positive energy is infectious. But that’s all that is. They take meticulous care in sanitary technique. The pedicure pampered my feet wonderfully. The two pedicure chairs with built in massage are decadently comfortable! With a very nice selection of adorable jewelry, personal care items and accessories, Simply Serene is a delightful find.

I spent over 3 hours at Simply Serene for a manicure, massage and facial. Two of the three services were amazing! The massage therapist was not there regular therapist, but she was awesome and did a fantastic job. She found knots I did not even know I had! The facial was so relaxing and peaceful that I almost fell asleep. The most disappointing service was the manicure. $ 55 for a scrub, quick lotion and a paraffin wax was not what I was expecting. The website says it starts with an aromatherapy soak. Nope — nothing! I generally go to my local nail salon and for $ 20 I get twice the treatment! My advice is to skip the nails and focus on massage or facial. Those services were EXCEPTIONAL and well worth the cost.
