Similar set up to Rudy’s. Nothing to write home about. Brisket was a bit dry for my liking.

Just stopped in for carryout as we were driving through Boerne. Had brisket sandwich and creamed corn. The brisket was excellent, nice flavor, very, very good. Cream corn didn’t do it for me, maybe you need to be a Texan to appreciate it. Would definitely eat here again.

Great customer service, true hospitality at its best! The food was pretty good. It was like stopping by a friends house for BBQ. You won’t be disappointed.

I have to admit, I wasn’t much of a fan at first. The place and menu seemed like a rip off of Rudy’s. But I’ve become quite fond of the brisket wraps, sausage, and ribs. Cream corn is good but it’s a little too thick for me.

Brisket was on point. Good flavor and moist. Pinto beans with pieces of brisket in them was really good as was the creamy potato salad. No 30 – 06 or 30 – 07 positing.

We got a pork loin platter and brisket sandwich. The meat was nice and tender but not much flavor to it. The sauce definitely made up for it– a good balance of sweet and tangy. My sandwich was delicious and I almost could have gone for another it was so tasty but one filled me up. I’ll come back if I find myself in the area again!

Nice addition to Boerne. Food is always tasty, place is clean, service is quick and the staff is always attentive and glad to see you. We have tried most of the meats and side dishes and have enjoyed them all. Try some of the homemade goodies after you eat — if you still have room.

Was in Boerne for an exhibition and had to eat after 4:00PM. Finding a good place that was open was a little difficult however we ended up at Smokey Mo’s. Was a little scared of the store front location but decided to go inside anyway and was so glad we did. Everything was delicious and it was so cute on the inside with lots of character. I had the smoked turkey and it was tender, juicy and good. The beans are full of flavor and amazing, the cream corn was creamy and sweet. Don’t pass this place up on looks — the price is right and the food is good.

Good fast food barbecue. All the better when compared to the price at Rudy’s barbecue. Portions are decent size and beer is available.

My family and I stopped at Smokey Mo’s on the way out of town and ordered lunch before going on our way. We were surprised at how good the food was for a new restaurant in town. The brisket and ribs were so tender and delicious and the bbq sauce was out of this world. The coleslaw and potato salad are must haves. We recommend Smokey Mo’s to anyone who is hungry.

Smokey Mo’s is great! The staff was friendly and very helpful. They gave me samples since it was my first time. I ended up choosing the turkey plate with cream corn and green beans. Yum! Turkey was excellent, moist and flavorful. The cream corn could be a dessert! Also got a quarter pound marbled brisket it was awesome with a beautiful smoke ring. Talked to the manager, and the stores are all family and friend owned. I love that! We toured the kitchen and saw there southern pride pits that flavor their meats perfectly with oak wood and consistent with natural gas flame. Wow! They also smoke meats all day long. I highly recommend Smokey Mo’s to anyone. It’s what Boerne has been missing.

We had seen that boerne has a new bbq place so on a off day wife and I went and tried it, I walked in to a very clean restrant, I ordered the pork loin with beans and coleslaw, wife a salad with smoked turkey, mine was ok, loin tender, ok smoke moist, beans were canned ranch style, slaw was sweet slaw, the bbq sauce I could take it or leave it ! Wife didn’t like her salad and I, didn’t ask why, better then other place in town«fuzzy’s» ? Would go back if someone wanted to try it

Went today and there was no one else dining there. First, they do not have a full menu as others in the chain. They do not have anything fried. Ordered the Monday special of Turkey with buttered potatoes and creamed corn. We also had a coupon from HEB for ¼ pound of free meat so we went with the brisket. Turkey was good and worth going back for. Buttered potatoes needed more seasoning. Creamed corn was meh. We requested the brisket to be moist. What we received had good char. We couldn’t say how it tasted because we had to drown in in BBQ sauce because it was extremely dry. I wasn’t a fan of the ketchup tasting BBQ sauce that was sitting on the table. My husband liked it. Not sure where the warm BBQ sauce was that someone else commented on in a review. Lastly, the options for tea were Sweet and Regular. Sweet is for those who like a little tea with their sugar. Regular was normal sweet and there was not an option for unsweet. There are other local places for us to go for BBQ and I think we will stay with those. I am sure this place gets lots of business at lunch since they picked a prime place of just outside the high school.

Wonderful flavorful bbq! Came out to see their new store. Very clean every where. Ordered turkey and brisket! The meat is not dry and awesome. Also the green beans are seasoned well. LOVE Smokey Mo’s! The employees were very friendly and personable as well.

Great staff… and we liked the food. Sausage, turkey, and brisket all good. Sauce tasted good(a little heat). Better than the other sit down bbq place in Boerne. That’s for sure.

Good BBQ& sides I think we’ve tried everything they have. Not a fan of they way they send the bread, pickles and onions home in the take out.

Two visits to this BBQ-chain newcomer to Boerne produced consistent results. The staff is friendly, which is good. The place is immaculate, which is not necessarily good when you’re dealing with barbecue. The kitchen is pristine stainless-steel, gas-fired smokers. I have only tried the brisket, which I consider to be the acid test for Texas ‘cue. The meat, like the place, was prim. Very little crust, almost no fat, the slimmest of smoke rings. As you might expect from that appearance, it was dry. The sauce was conventional, toward the sweet side with a little bit of heat. Ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar, molasses, pepper, cumin. Nothing to write home about. The potato salad(another place to probe for weakness) was the same yellow glop out of a bucket that you get at every bad diner in the country. Basically, it’s corporate, lowest-common-denominator barbecue lacking in any personality or originality. On the plus side, it’s probably consistent in a formulaic sort of way. If you get your Mexican food from Taco Bell, you’ll love Smokey Mo’s.
