We ate there on Friday night and the food was outstanding. We ordered a few different items and everything was delicious and we will definably be back.

I always get the Pernil tacos, which are friggin’ amazing everytime. Everything I order there is excellent. You can never go wrong with any empanadas you buy there, but the steak and potato emps are AMAZING. My friend and I went there for lunch one day and ordered a Cuban to split. Holy moley. It was wonderful! Some Cubans at other places disappoint me, but this one definitely did NOT. This is my favorite lunch spot. The people there are friendly, and it’s just an excellent place to get some authentic grub for extremely reasonable prices. It’s not the best for big groups who want to eat THERE, but you can always order ahead and get it to go. You definitely get more than what you pay for. Check this place out! There’s always a smiling face to greet you while you decide on your order. :) There’s also a ping pong table! ;) P. S. Bring cash unless you’re order a lot of food. They require a minimum of $ 10 on cards.

Tried just about everyone of the empanadas and everytime I am impressed. The flavors that they have are so delicious and versatile with whatever crowd of people you are serving. Definitely do the platter of 20 or 40 for a party and leave your guest satisfied. The jalapeño sauce adds that extra kick of flavor and make sure you get it! The owner is extremely friendly and always remembers his customers which makes it feel like home.

I love the empandas here. There are over 30 different empandas to choose from. I work in the area and found out by accident. The prices are great, you get alot for your money.

Had the Empanadas basket. Everything was absolutely delicious! All flavors bangin’! Had to be one of the best Latin food places I’ve been to and I travel a lot from San Diego, to Chicago, to south Florida, and I grew up in a mixed neighborhood of Dominicans and Puerto Ricans. Great spot! Oh and my colleague had the crunch wrap and an Empanada-everything was great. I also got a tres leche Empanada-awesome! I’m definitely coming back!

So, I can’t believe after all this time I haven’t reviewed this place. Years ago I was lucky enough to date this girl, not because she was particularly wonderful, but because she lived just down the road from a place that had over 20 empanadas every day! Eat*cetera has rotating and changing empanadas and hot food daily, they’ve got a few tables, a few games, a few books, and a ping pong table to boot.(I’ve only used it twice over the years because I get my butt kicked) Anyway I wound up getting a job in the area and used to make this a monthly stop, I got three coworkers hooked and lost my job, it’s in a spot that’s easy to overlook but I highly recommend you check them out! I e had some great empanadas and some poor ones, they’ve left one or two out of a 20 pack in the past so you do need to just double check. I’d give them five stars but twice I got a bone in the damn thing– still this place rocks! Fresh authentic food is the way to go!

This place is the absolute BEST! I honestly cannot get enough of the food, atmosphere, and people there. They have so many amazing choices. The empanadas, both savory and sweet, are incredible. I’ve had the Diablo crunch twice and still keep dreaming of when I can go back again to get another one. The worst experience there is when it’s over and I’m too full to eat anymore! I love you eatcetera, until next time!

If you haven’t tried this place yet there, put down your laptop, cell phone, tablet, stop considering other places to go eat, and go there now. You won’t regret it, even if it’s your first time trying Latin food. Eat there, then share its greatness with all of your friends. Now, onto the actual review… This place is amazing. I’ve been traveling to Long Island weekly for over two years now, and Eatcetera is easily the best place to eat in the area. Not only is the food delicious, but Mike and Diana are great and really go far to make you feel like you are eating a home-cooked meal at their dinner table, not a restaurant. I’ve seen this place develop over the years, and it’s truly a gem in the area. They have a very neighborhood-hangout type vibe and started off a bit slow because most people in the area weren’t too comfortable trying anything different from the typical long island sandwich and pizza shops. Now, they are buzzing and there’s a reason why — the food is 100% authentic, and folks have caught on. Try the various flavors of empanadas or the delicious steam table. Oh, and be sure to get crunch wraps, especially the new spicy diablo one. That one is the best, trust me. I haven’t had anything on the menu that I did not like yet, and in my many trips there, I’ve probably tried almost everything.

Don’t let the bodega décor fool you. This place is amazing. I feel confident calling the toasted jack one of the best burritos I have ever had. Empanadas were also amazing.

This is by far the best restaurant/deli/groceryshop in all of long island. In my extensive travel and dining experiences over this past year I have found this gem of Latin American food in the most unlikely of places. My journey to find delicious food draws many parallels to the story of middle earth, and how when it was under threat from the forces of evil, Bilbo Baggins rose to the occasion when there all others had failed. My quest from La Guardia to the outskirts of Ronkonkoma crossed the great food desert of Interstate 495 which was littered with pizza shops and deli counters. However, when all hope seemed to be lost, Eatcetera rose from the shadows as a shining beacon to save my taste buds. Eatcetera, with its unassuming location, is situated between a lottery store, Chinese take out, barbershop, and beauty salon. Highly recommend the steam table(chipotle chicken) and savory empanadas.

My boyfriend and I were driving around the area and both getting hungry. I Unilocaled food places and stumbled upon this location with great reviews. Figured we might as well give it a shot and we did not regret it! Boyfriend ordered the empanada combo(I think it was 5 empanadas for $ 6) and he said they tasted great. There’s a lot of flavors to choose from! I ordered the Chicken Jackass(I think that’s what it was called — I didn’t see it on the menu so I showed the guy a photo off Unilocal LOL) and that was good; very filling. I also ordered the horchata drink which was delicious. You can taste the rice in it! Boyfriend also ordered tostones and the guy had sprinkled garlic on it(we’ve never seen this before and it was really yummy). He said that’s how they do it in Venezuela. YUM. They also have a ping pong table that we played on while waiting for our food(a little bit of a wait but we didn’t mind) which worked up the appetite. The guy(he seemed like the owner?) was super nice and brought our food out to the table. When we were leaving, I noticed a sign that said Free WiFi. Stupid me kept trying with my non-existent shaky 4G to check in at the place and kept failing: X I highly recommend this place! You can easily drive by it without noticing it!

Love going to this place! Mike(Who runs the place) is a great guy and treats all of his customers great. he makes sure you everything is okay when you are there. I like coming here because there is so much to do while you wait for your food. Theres ping pong, foosball, chess checkers, dominoes and some books. It is always a good vibe being there plus the food is delicious. You can get sandwiches, rice plates with pernil or chicken. everything is delicious. Today i ordered the havana sandwich which had pork shoulder and avocado with a side of rice beans. My mother ordered the crunch wrap supreme, like the taco bell crunchwrap but 10x better. both plates were delicious. Deffinetely a place to check out if youre looking to play some ping pong and eat some great food!

FANTASTIC!!! Had lunch here today on a suggestion from my buddy and I was blown away. The empanadas were great, the arepas were delicious and the Cuban sandwich was one of the best I’ve had. I tried the smoked sausage empanada, the hot chorizo empanada and the habanero chicken empanada and I couldn’t decide which one I liked better. For the arepa’s we did mozzarella with pork. Driving by I wouldn’t think to stop but the reviews don’t lie. You must GOGOGO. I’m already trying to figure out when I can get back here.

Tried the plate option this time. Went double black beans, plaintains and chicken diablo which was a little watery. Wish it was bigger pieces of chicken but worked well with the beans. We also split a jamacian empanada and the hot chorizo which was really good. She got the taco wrap which was really tasty but fat dripping out so that wasn’t appealing. Sweet empanada, cookie dough wasn’t worth it but was worth a try.

After reading reviews, I really had to try this place out. I had to try their steam table meal. Come on $ 6.99 for rice and beans and meat, how can you say no? First thing, the service was great. The person who me out was great, she explained what was what. I also tried their tres leches empanada. I have no complaints about their food and dessert, both are excellent. The place is very clean as well. Next time I’m going to get the crunch taco wrap. Keep it up!

What makes this place worth checking out? They have lots and lots of Empanadas to choose from. For me, its all about the columbian style(corn flour). I tried 3 different varieties. Each were pretty good, my favorite was the steak & mushrooms. Least favorite thing I tried was a beef taco. My wife tried a sampler which included 3 different styles. She said they were all good. For the price($ 1.25 each), its well worth checking out.
