Started off accidentally entering through the back exit. Was greeted by a cheerful cook saying come on in! Wow what a well-cared for place, it’s obvious as soon as you walk in. Very clean, very polished. Charming updates. The service is excellent. Wonderful people. The food is just exquisite! Unique, can’t get this quality anywhere else nearby. So flavorful, homemade and seemingly guilt-free! We will be back again and again and again.

This place opened when we moved to the area, and it was great. Slightly high on price, but the convenience made up for that. Since then, the prices have gone up at least twice, and the service has gone down. They’ve even gone so far as to stop posting the prices since they’re constantly increasing. I’ve waited over 30 minutes there to get a bowl of soup and a sandwich, which is not easy when you have kids. Even worse is the fact that the food is nothing special. The $ 9 Turkey Sandwich my wife recently got was good, but not $ 9 worth of good. $ 6? Maybe. The bottom line for me is that I’d rather drive into Carlisle and get Panera for less money than patronize a local store, and that’s tough to write. Do yourself a favor and drive the 5 miles over to Mount Holly and check out Crumbs. It’s everything Café 101 used to be, plus they make their own bread.

Love the outdoor seating! Great place to sit on a nice day. The coffee is okay, but the food could be much better. The last time I went the avocado on the sandwich I ordered was terrible. I think it was canned, ugh! And I can’t stand that they use phyllo dough as the crust to their quiche. It’s always soggy! I have had some okay breakfasts, but usually I just go to sit outside and watch the ducks. Nice place to bike to.

My husband and I got the BackPackers Platter along with the brown sugar and cinnamon baked oatmeal. The platter was perfect to share and the oatmeal was outstanding. We sat outside on their patio and it was a lovely view of the boiling springs lake. We will return!

This is a real gem of a spot in Boiling Springs, PA. Meals are light and fresh. The quiche is worth it every time. Outdoor seating is well done and you occasionally get friends from the duck pond stopping by. Sunday brunch ends too early, and they frequently run out of specials. Vegetarian options are unimaginative and limited. Other than that, delicious coffee and a sweet atmosphere make this a great stop.

Great eggs Benedict. The staff gets to know you and remembers what you like. Great place to enjoy a cup of coffee listening to the sounds of the lake in boiling springs. Coffee is also available to buy ground or as beans to take home with you.

Great place for a casual breakfast or lunch with really good food. Sandwiches are fresh and delicious. In the summer our dog is welcome at the outdoor seating and always gets a bowl of water. This is one of our favorite places to meet friends to lunch and chat. So glad it is here.

We enjoyed breakfast here a few weeks ago on a Sunday. The coffee was great, and the breakfast was even better!

Delicious! Sister and my 13 mo old really enjoyed the easy, relaxed feel of the café. Sister had the clam chowder which was packed full of fish and clams. Very good. Also the ham and Gouda sandwich special. My portobello wrap was super creamy with goat cheese and marinated veggies inside. Son loved the quiche, easy for a toddler to eat. Would love to go again! Pumpkin pie latte is in season and was the best I have had this year.

If you like your coffee, tea, latte in a rustic setting you won’t find a much nicer setting than this location! Nested in the quaint town across from Children’s Lake in Boiling Springs! Café 101 offers a light menu and soups of the day and some uniquely prepared deserts and not to mention some good coffees and teas! A nice stop if your passing through or just looking for a distraction of the regular!

I happened to accidentally find this place this afternoon while killing some time. I was very impressed. Staff was very friendly and décor was nice. I ordered an iced chai latte with soy milk. I can honestly say it’s the best I have had in awhile! I will be going back. I also noticed a patio, I want to check that out next time!

What a great place to have breakfast or lunch in the Fall sitting outside by the lake. Breakfast food is a little bette than your standard diner food, although I did find my sauce on Eggs Benedict a little thin. Good value, great setting, nice lady who busses the tables.

I’m sitting in this restaurant right now and it’s actually what prompted me to download the Unilocal app and write a review. I came for lunch and was greeted my two employees before I was able to locate the menu board. I had the chicken swiss and bacon sandwich which was delicious and with drink barely broke ten dollars. The décor is very nice with hardwood floors and different varieties of tables and other seating, but the huge plus for me beyond the good food was the outdoor seating on the patio overlooking the beautiful lake across the street. This will become a staple for me all summer! Well done 101, well done. Don’t change a thing.

Delicious lunch and coffee… minus one star for the lack of vegetarian options but otherwise a perfect lunch.

Excellent for weekend breakfast or lunch. PERFECT foam on the latte. I go about 4 – 5 times a month; the food has been consistently good & employees friendly. The décor is crisp & clean looking. They have a new photo mural of the town back in the horse and buggy days, it’s quaint to see how much it all looks the same. I’m a vegetarian & never have a problem getting something to eat, they are pleasantly accommodating to my «custom orders». The deserts are truly sinful, try the mousse if they have it.

As a «Friends» addicted teenager stuck in small-town PA, this place was a lifesaver. Glad to see the new owners have done so well with it :). Try the portabella wrap, it’s really amazing!

I love their selection of sandwhiches, pastries, and coffee here. It’s really expensive though. I wouldn’t mind paying it so much if the workers weren’t just downright surly. I thought maybe it was just an off day at first, but I’ve been in there about three times and it’s always the same rudeness where they act like they’re doing you a favor by selling you over-priced food.

Good but pricey sandwiches. Staff is friendly, food is good, but the selection is a bit limited. It’s the only deli-style restaurant in the area, so if you’re in the mood for soups and/or sandwiches, this is the place to go.

This is a great little café. I’ve stopped in here a few times to get some work done and grab a quick bite or coffee. If you’ve got your laptop there are actually a good number of tables that have access to an outlet. Also, the wifi has some of the fastest speeds I’ve tested in the area. On nice days there are several tables outside overlooking the lake. I’ve only ordered food a couple times but it’s always been good. They certainly use quality ingredients but $ 8 – 9 seems a bit on the steep side for what amounts to pretty basic sandwiches. The coffees are good though and they actually make proper macchiatos unlike some shops. All in all, it’s a good place to get a snack in a really nice location and while it can get busy it is usually a quiet place to get a little work done.
