Ok let me say this beforehand, I’m a regular here. Am I biased? Absolutely! El Limon is an amazing family owned Mexican restaurant, with an amazing menu, very nice crew and the food? Fantastic! The prices are cheaper than most fast food chains! Try the California Burrito! Is a most!

I had the El Special dinner to try a bit of everything. The taco had a good ratio of meat(tasty), veg and cheese. The stuffed pepper had way too much cheese, barely any pepper(you couldn’t taste it) and the meat mixture tasted of cheese and salt only. The burrito was a ok. The rice was dry and the beans were runny and bland. The standout was the enchalada. The sauce was flavorful the mass didn’t have the overboard lime flavor that is so common and the meat was flavorful with the sauce. Overall not the best but also not the worst Mexi-American I’ve had in Spartanburg.

This place is very dark when you walk in, and the food barely resembled what we ordered and everything was drenched in red sauce. The salsa that the brought to our table had no sauce and the same goes for the cheese dip. The icing on this poorly made cake is that the restroom(for women) was in a very dark corner and I almost fell walking into it. The restroom was the best part of this place.

Food is pretty good. Not the best in town. I think there might be a decent amount of MSG in the food though due to how I felt after I ate there. But if you’re not sensitive to that, their chips and salsa are great. Service is pretty good too.

Go here at least once a week! Not the absolute best Mexican food EVER, but better than a lot of other places I’ve been… Would definitely recommend! :)
