I love this location. First of all, it’s the site of the original Albertsons, so that’s pretty cool. And, I think perhaps due to this fact, it seems to be the location that receives the most upkeep and attention. It’s always impeccably maintained, the service is always friendly and efficient, and the prices are about what you’d expect(Albertsons prices fell a few months back and are more in line with other grocers in the area now, in my experience – though they are certainly not bargain prices). I’ve always been happy with their produce, meats, and deli. The one exception is their sushi, which I would not recommend. Other than that – awesome! Oh! And, they have a Starbucks inside! So, if you like to caffeinate prior to grocery shopping(and, really, who doesn’t?) – that’s quite convenient! Get to it!

Open late(1a). I appreciate the remodel, but when you come to buy a few groceries and get out, the place is completely torn up. I guess when they finish it will be really nice, but right now not good.

Very moderate selection, probably reasonable for the area. Everything was very clean and bright and the positioning on the shelves looks like it was done with rulers and levels. Very nice attention to detail there. Bakery could use a little help, but about on par for a grocery store. Checkout staff is very good, both efficiently speedy and ultra-polite. This store also has a Starbucks, for whatever that’s worth, if anyone cares about stuff like that. I don’t particularly, but it bears noting. Other than that, this is basically the epitome of the ok rating. Very solid, no surprises, but nothing spectacular.

Albertson’s closest to the office — according to legend, it’s the very first albertson’s. It is set up like normal albertsons, produce looks fresh and staff is friendly. Prices are average — some high, some low… But again, easy to walk to from the office, so a good option

This is the original Albertsons store that Joe Albertson built when he started his own chain after managing a Safeway store in Emmett. I smile when I look across State Street to the Rite-aid store that originally housed a Safeway store. It’s amazing that Joe began his empire katty-corner from his biggest competitor. Since Albertsons was taken back from Minnesota-based Supervalu a couple of years ago, there have been noticeable changes at this store and others in the Treasure Valley. Prices have been lowered and staff members are friendlier. It appears they’re trying to revert to the practices that made Albertsons a hometown favorite.

Little surprised walking into Albertsons after not visiting for over a year. I remember them having prices almost double compared to wince and walmart for some products. Things have completely changed. Fair prices on meat, in barkery, common household produce. I will finally visit here again if i need something quick since I’m closest to albertsons compared to wince or walmart.

Pretty standard grocery store. They do have an above average wine selection, a build your own six pack beer cooler and a Starbucks up front.

This is my local neighborhood grocery store and I wish I could love it more. The overall produce selection is average, the vegetables are often overpriced, and the seafood section often smells strongly of malodorous fishiness… Its redeeming quality remains in the alcohol selection. There have a large walk-in refrigerator beer section and a well stocked, diverse wine selection that includes even a few, hard to find, south american malbecs that I adore. The staff has always been very pleasant and the pharmacist was quite helpful when I came in asking a mountain of questions after struggling to find the perfect cold/flu regimen.

This is the Albertsons closest to my office, so I don’t visit as often as the one near home. Friendly staff and an amazing salad bar. I find their selection of some things(most notably Coffee-mate flavors) is a bit lacking, but the convenience, the salad bar and the friendly staff make up for that ‘shortfall’. You’ll see multiple panhandlers on the edges of the parking lot at this location, to be cautious if you are walking.
