I am interested interested in purchasing a good quality pocket knife and have been investigating Chris Reeve Knives online. Our summer travels have brought us to Boise where Chris Reeve has his knife factory, and today my wife and I stopped there to actually see and handle their knives. While there we were offered a tour of the facility which was quite an eye opener. These knives are expensive, and now I know why. The facility is nearly spotless, filled with high tech equipment and highly skilled employees. Our tour guide, Chad, pointed out that while these knives are not custom made, they all receive a lot of human TLC in their assembly and finish. They even had a lathe that made the small hardware used in the knives assembly. Expensive, yes, but a quality product made in Boise Idaho by American craftsmen.
