ADORABLE downtown atmosphere, great menu and really personal service that can’t be beat! What a nice little gem! Wishing I either lived upstairs or they had a better location to make them more accessible for me!

This is a great coffee shop on the East edge of downtown for work or business. I’ve been here several times and each experience has been great. They have an interesting mix of beer, wine and coffee. I haven’t come for the beer or wine but they appear to have a nice selection of bottle beer and a few wines. The coffee is very good and fast. They have delicious pastry and great breakfast burritos. Plenty of free wi-fi and decent setting. I wish there were a few more comfortable chairs. The wall bench seat is not very comfortable, skip that. Great atmosphere, cool interior design and really helpful staff. If you are feeling indulgent grab a cinnamon roll, you’ll be glad you did!

Quickly stop by to try this place near our home. We have been talking about stopping by but it’s just a hard place to get too and not convenient for a quick coffee unless of course you live here. Staff was extremely nice and quickly took our order. The only way to know if coffee place is good is to try their drip coffee. We both got drip coffee and we were on our way to finish our errands. I was pleasantly surprised that their coffee was not acidic and very smooth. I was happy to hear that they use a local roaster and definitely liked their industrial décor. We might try out their menu next time and hopefully they have worked out their kinks that have previously been reported by a fellow Unilocaler! Three stars until we try more of their menu! Good luck

Hard to find good coffee in Boise. Don’t get me wrong, love flying m, but Dawson’s still relies on the 1990s belief that the deepest, darkest roasts are the best tasting coffee. The other shops in town just don’t use very good beans, maybe to keep their cost down? Enter Full Steam. They’re using Café Umbria coffee, a strong roaster out of Seattle. I’m guessing it’s why their 12oz latte is 3 bucks, as opposed to slightly less at other coffee shops. The outcome is a damn good cup of espresso. Nice baristas, cool vibe in the place. Didn’t give 5 stars as I can’t speak to the food. Some colorful shade in the summer for the patio in the concrete jungle out the front door could go a long way.

I was looking forward to checking this place out as I love the concept of coffee + beer. There was a little issue of not getting what we ordered, and rather than being apologetic and trying to fix the order, the barista told us that is what he heard and offered to doctor up the sandwich(doctor up being my words, not his). Being a new shop, and not busy, I would have rather appreciated getting what we did order. Kind of awkward… Oh well, it was ok for what it was and the latte was good. Will stop by again if in the neighborhood.

As Seattle transplants, we were in it for the coffee. Full Steam didn’t disappoint. We’ve been there three times now and have consistently gotten the best double shot 12 oz lattes we’ve found in Boise. In fact they were even better than lattes we’ve gotten in San Francisco and Seattle. Even the decaf is good. The baristas were pleasant and service was good. The place is clean and has a nice atmosphere.

On the positive side, I know Full Steam just opened so I have hope they will work out their kinks. I don’t want to give it a 1 star, because I like it but my family and I had a frustrating experience. It went like this — 5 of us ordered food. The first order was a salad, it came out wrong so she took it back to make it correct, my uncle(he ordered the same thing) received her salad. We were fine with that. Then the cashier came to our table to let us know they were out of the salad she ordered so would she like anything else? She said yes, maybe a sandwich and the cashier said maybe we can put some prosciutto on that, does that sounds good. My aunt agreed. Less than 10 seconds passed and she delivered the prosciutto panini and admitted that it was made for some else but they didn’t want it. It was cold. My aunt went with the flow. Then my great aunt got her keish, it was cold and she asked them to heat it up. Then I received my veggie sandwich and it was stone cold. All were suppose to be panini sandwiches and warm. In the end we should have said something every time there was an issue but after two errors, and 30 minutes later(on a lunch break), we just wanted to eat. I will try this place again. It was just disappointing since I only see my family once every 5 — 10 years and I wanted to show them some place fun to eat.
