I have a recurring massage every 3 weeks from Mattie Morgan at JMZ Spa. This review is based on the 6+ months I have been going there and I have just good things to say. The price is amazing and will be the most reasonable you will find in Boise and she has deals going on all the time for her customers. I have a bad back from my sitting job and Mattie does a great job of working on my back and shoulder to relieve the stress and soreness. She uses a variety of essential oils to suit my needs and the hot stones are just perfect. Every time I get out of my sessions with Mattie, I feel completely relaxed and destressed. I would recommend anyone reading this to try a massage session with Mattie.

I went to this salon many years ago to have my hair done for an event — and had a great experience, so when I saw a Groupon for waxing advertised with a woman named Kristen at JMZ Spa-​lon, I bought it thinking I would have another positive experience with the salon.
The salon had the particular waxologist, Kristen, booking her own appointments. When I called her a few weeks after purchasing the Groupon, I was informed that she didn’t have any openings for another two months! Begrudgingly, I took the appointment slot. The morning of my appointment, Kristen left me a voicemail to cancel — saying that her other clients had cancelled for the day, so it wasn’t worth it for her to drive all the way into town. I called her back within the hour — got her voicemail, and let he know that I would be happy to reschedule for anytime in the near future. I didn’t hear from her for a few days, then contacted her again via text. She said she didn’t have her appointment book and would have to get back to me. I never heard from her. The following week, I contacted her again, and she told me she didn’t have any openings for another month and a half.
Obviously, if you’re going to cancel on someone, you make the appropriate accommodations to make it work within a reasonable time frame. Obviously this gal is not interested in building a clientele if she can’t even stick to her appointments and meet customer demands.
I ended up contacting Groupon and having my coupon refunded because I was beyond irritated about the experience. No thanks JMZ Spa-​lon. Watch who you hire and handle all appointments in-​house.
