They have great quality service that is hard to beat. The food is absolutely amazing. I have only come here twice, but I suggest getting a medium bowl and putting a lot of stuff in it. They have two sides of the serving table so there are two people who cook your food. As I said, this place is amazing.

Of all the offerings of Mongolian BBQ in Boise, this place has always been consistently the best. Run by a familiar crew of folks, food and service are consistent. One of the friendliest waitresses in Boise works her. She’s always ready with a smile and remembers my drink order though I don’t think I could be called a regular there. Décor takes me back to the nineties, which is a good thing. It’s a comfortable and casual place to eat. It’s hard to beat one of their hot bowls of noodles made by you to your liking! Try the Mongolian BBQ sauce on your food. Tasty!

Flew in to Boise and searched for Mongolian bbq and decided to go to the one most reviewed. Is this place cheap and good value for money? Yes. Seeing crab as one of the options for this price was great. Is this the best Mongolian bbq place I have been to? No. The selection is decent. But the sauces are too watered down. Even after adding one full bowl of sauce in one bowl of my food, there wasn’t much flavor and needed the sriracha. 4 stars just because this place is in Boise and what better options do you have? :).

Worst food poisoning of my life. It’s unfortunate too because until now this was my favorite Mongolian in Boise. I also know that it came from here because my friend and I both got violently ill from it. The food is almost worth the risk, almost.

This is one of our favorites in Boise! You create your own meal so I f you aren’t satisfied then it’s your own fault. Prices extremely reasonable for what in get in your meal. Friendly staff and it is fun to watch the cooks put your meal together.

Checked out this location for dinner on a Friday evening. I’ve been to their Nampa location, usually for lunch so I knew I liked their food. This Boise location is a little nicer on the inside, but the same great service and food. I was surprised it wasn’t that busy for a Friday, but my husband and I were there around 5:30pm. The restaurant was very clean, nice décor and open feeling. And college football was on a big screen tv, but in the background. Perfect! I love that they allow you to take it to go or take home leftovers. I’ve been to other places that were not all-you-can-eat and didn’t allow you to take leftovers. I’ve never revisited those places. Mongolian BBQ’s leftovers are so good the next day. They do have an AYCE option, but no leftovers from that. Either way it’s a great value for the food you get. There was a wide variety of vegetables that looked and tasted very fresh and with the meat(thin sliced pork, beef and chicken) and seafood(shrimp and krab mix) offerings everything was very appetizing. As usual I hardly had enough room for the goodness that is the noodles. Also, they do give you a small bowl of white rice. It was good with all the extra juices from the sauce. *My husband usually goes for lunch and said they don’t offer the seafood mix during their lunch hours* The hostess and waitress we had were very welcoming and friendly. This is a bit out of the way for us, but when I’m on that side of town I’ll be sure to remember my great experience. My husband is lucky enough to work near here so he’ll be a continued customer(bringing me his leftovers!)

So delicious. Fast, fresh, simple. You pick your own veggies, meat, and sauce from the bar, hand them the bowl, and watch them stir fry it. Friendly service. Great place!!! :)

One of my stand by favorites. Always lots of fresh choices and vegetarian options. Great way to get your kids to eat their veggies.

They can be rude. Flavor is good and according to what you put on your noodles. Prices are average.

Clean, tasty, 10 bucks. That about sums it up! Plenty of room, not too crammed in like some places, booths were comfortable and clean. I would go back again!

So first off I’ll tell you that this place is in no way, shape, or form a «fine dining» establishment. The bottom line is this; it’s cheap, it’s good, and it’s filling. If you leave unsatisfied or hungry, it’s basically your own fault. You get to choose your own ingredients all the way around, so if you didn’t like your food then you chose poorly on ingredients. This place is old, basic, and not impressive by any means. So if you are looking to impress that new girlfriend or first date, this isn’t where you take them. It’s a hole in the wall place with a bunch of Asian guys running it who speak little or broken«Engrish», who just sit around most of the time playing on their cell phones. They’ll refill your drink when you need it, but don’t expect to make any idle chat or anything… they’re too busy with their cellphones. All of this is really okay, as long as you don’t go into this place expecting more than what it really is. Basically it’s a fast food Asian joint, where you can get good, filling, cheap, messy food that leaves you feeling better than if you went and ate at McDonalds. I can say that the other location in Nampa is exactly the same way, now that I’ve eaten in both places. If this sounds good to you, by all means give it a try. If you’re looking for something more high end, fancy, or impressive then I’m afraid you’re going to need to keep on looking.

My job takes me all over the U.S. and thus I’ve been able to try few Mongolian BBQ joints and this is the best I’ve found. I’ve been stopping in at this restaurant every time I’ve been in Boise for the last 20 years and its never let me down.

Went here for the first time with my boyfriend, and we both enjoyed it. Everything was clean and orderly. All of the food items were fresh, and I could not stop scooping up those veggies! The chef gave us tips on what flavor of sauces to add, and our waitress was very pleasant and considerate. My boyfriend finished eating before me, so our waitress came to box up his leftovers. She offered to box mine up since she was there with the idea of continuing to eat out of the box, so we could continue our conversation without being interrupted again by the staff — so simple, but so brilliant! I really can’t think of a single complaint other than we felt a little rushed toward the end. I’m pretty sure my fortune said something about going back there to eat again… :)

My family and I went to this Mongolian BBQ last week, it was our first time there. I liked the fact that there are different pricing options. You can have 1 serving of either a small, medium or a large bowl. Then there’s all-you-can-eat if you’re really hungry. We are from southern California, and most of the Mongolian BBQ around here are all-you-can-eat only, some have 1 serving prices, but I don’t remember seeing different prices for different bowl sizes. The veggie selection is good, the sauces selection is huge. The meat selection is good. They have beef, chicken, pork, imitation crab(if you look closely there are shrimps in there.) But I was disappointed to see that they do not have lamb. I always eat lamb at Mongolian BBQs. My family liked the flavor, the food, the selection. They would give it 4 stars, but I did not like the flavor no matter what different combination of sauces I tried. Plus, I’m really disappointed with the lack of lamb. I would give it 2 stars. So to compromise, I’m giving this restaurant 3 stars. If you’re in the area, and you enjoy buffets, I think this is a good place to give it a shoot, the prices are very reasonable for a buffet restaurant too.

They are getting more restrictive on how much goes in a bowl, I understand because some people go way over the top. The place is clean but not super clean, the staff is nice but not really nice. Over all the food is great if you make it great and its a better than average place to eat!

Great for Picky Eaters because you create your own bowl. Fresh Food and Enormous Portions. Very tasty, I recommend putting more ladles of sauces then less to keep the dish moist. Be careful of putting too many jalepenos in your bowl as well. I have never been able to go back for seconds, so I usually get the mighty khan and have enough for another meal plus when I get home. Friendly people, great service. Fun restaurant because everyone gets exactly what they want. Did I mention Good for vegetarians.

If it’s not good it’s your own fault! ;-) All the fixins, three sizes of bowel, good selection of sauces and Dr Pepper to wash it down. $ 10 for lunch – and some serious eats!

First Idaho Mongolian experience and it was very tasty. Good variety of very fresh and delicious vegetables. All food was grilled to perfection. Service was timely and pleasant. Don’t let the location fool you for one second(next to car wash) this place is worth the stop.

I’ve been a BIG fan of the Mongolian BBQ in St. George, Utah for many years. I’ve eaten there countless times over the past several years. I knew the same family or friends of the family operated some restaurants in Idaho too, but never had the opportunity to eat there until this last weekend. The formula for great Mongolian BBQ is easy — LOTS of fresh vegetables and other fresh ingredients, several meat choices, and plenty of sauce! Pick what you want in your bowl and have the cook stir-fry it up. Make sure and tip your cook while you’re waiting! This Mongolian BBQ location in Boise doesn’t disappoint! It was most definitely fresh and most definitely delicious! Inside the restaurant was older looking but seemed more or less clean and well maintained. Staff was attentive and friendly. We ate here twice over the Memorial Day weekend and the food and service were excellent both times. My only compliant is that there isn’t a Mongolian BBQ location in my hometown of Salt Lake City, Utah. Please, please, pretty please open a location in Salt Lake City. I swear I would eat there all the time!
