We went because we got a great deal on a GroupOn. That is the only reason we would ever go. Maybe they have renamed the place. But from reading the other reviews, not much has changed except the name. We sat for 10 – 15 minutes before we had to ask to the bartender to send a server to our table when two had walked by us numerous times, on a weeknight at 7pm. We ordered an appetizer — the Avacado ceviche, more like pico with a couple of pieces of avocado thrown in. Our server was either high, a ditz, or from another planet. When I asked how long the restaurant had been opened under new management — she said«about 3pm». The reason I am giving it a start at all is that the my food was decent and serving size large enough for two meals, so that when it came down to it, with leftovers, we got four meals and two drinks for pretty cheap. But for the ambiance, the lousy service, and the wait, there is no way I would pay full price.

45 minutes from order to food delivery. The only reason this place is getting one star is that the food was warm. Service was absolutely awful! I started timing the time-span between order and delivery, half hour between order and drinks, and then the orders were wrong! They could not figure out how to mix a bucket of beers because they are probably the only place I have been that only puts 5 bottles in a bucket. I had to go to bar to get my own limes after asking three times. Hey genius, Pacifico always should have a lime in it! ALWAYS! And no, it was not busy so not an excuse!!! The lake is beautiful and a great place to put a bar, I hope the next owners put one in and maybe hire some decent servers!

If you’re one of those like myself who live in West Boise that does not want to pay astronomical prices of gasoline or cab fare to drive downtown to party, this place is for you! This bar recently underwent an extensive renovation and last year enacted a smoking ban to encourage a more active party atmosphere. I have a tradition of attending Mardi Gras parties here with great drink prices and great service. Every Friday night, the DJs from Wild 101 host«Old School Fridays» featuring pop hits as far back as the 1980s — with some content going over the air live(in other words, music you don’t normally hear on today’s Clear Channel-owned stations). Plus there is no cover charge for this action! In the summer, the docks and patio out back in Lake Harbor are opened up for dining and recreation. I would equate the experience similar to a nightclub party on McCall’s Payette Lake(without the 100-mile drive). Definitely a great atmosphere for us suburbanites who don’t feel like making the drive downtown for a good time.

Went here for my girlfriend’s birthday on a Thursday night in the winter. The food was OK, we ordered the shrimp skewers, crab and artichoke dip, quesedilla and wings. The only thing I really liked was the crab dip, everything else was just OK. Drinks were pretty reasonable, and we had plenty of them… the staff was awesome. Great server, great bartender — all in all a pretty fun little place. I would like to go back in the summer time when its warm, they look like that have an awsome patio.

I have been here twice, and I def agree that this is the«sketchy part of the islands.» I was really disappointed bc this is right next to work and I was hoping it might be a nice place to detox after work or a place to meet ppl. Ummmm, noooo. Not unless I want to meet creepy men already drunk at 6pm. The location is relaxing and the drinks are cheap :) Rum and coke was only $ 2.50 and it was pretty strong. So if I were invisible, I would go here(although there are probly more fun things for invisible ppl to do). But I am not invisible… so I have to deal with the 40+ yr old creepers that can see me and decide to approach me(even when I am on the phone!) The food is decent, so it warrants a second star.

Somehow, yes, it is possible to be a dive and an oasis at the same time. It’s not the menu, it’s the venue — Silver Lake, that is. It’s relaxing to sit out on the floating docks amid the misters and sip a mojito. There are DJs from Wild 101 who drop the beats after the dining hours. Fish and chips are light and flaky halibut. The Montego chicken burger is a moist breast with pineapple. Kids will like the Kona chicken quesadilla. I wasn’t impressed with the jerk shrimp. There are certainly better island food options elsewhere in Boise. And Park Center lake is a little higher brow. But if you want to feel like you are in a sketchy part of the islands, this is the place to be.
