Pioneer Title Company of Ada County

Okay, while Pioneer screwed up in several areas as mentioned in my previous review (plus not including our homeowner’s insurance premium wrapped into the closing, which I understand is common policy and which we understood would be done), their manager personally contacted us to apologize and made the situation right, reimbursing us for the extra expenses incurred. He also sent us a personal letter saying they would use our situation as a training platform for future clients. You really can’t ask much more of a company than to hold themselves accountable, when they do make mistakes, and learn from them.

I am intelligent and have an impatient streak. This combination has often led to me pulling my hair out while waiting for someone to complete a form for me in twice the time it would have taken me to fill it out myself. So I take every opportunity to self-​enroll in such things as Internet service, a checking account, or utility bills — rather than having to dictate my information to someone who can only spell my name when I say it phonetically, «D; A; N; I; E; L, as in LISTEN you idiot!».
But when it came to home-​buying, I set my impatience aside, and let the professionals at Pioneer Title Company handle all of the paperwork. And, let’s be honest, I’m too impatient even to learn property law to sufficiently close a real estate deal.
Pioneer Title was my realtor’s title company of choice. And a good choice it was. Pioneer was highly organized and efficient — at closing, a stack of forms a half-​ream of paper high were arranged in order and prepared for the specified party to sign. Unfortunately, Pioneer’s residential real estate specialist was out the day of my closing, so I was assigned to their commercial real estate specialist. As such, she could only provide a very shallow explanation of what I was signing — I had to lean on my realtor and mortgage broker to answer questions about the paperwork. Later, Pioneer Title never sent the ownership change to my homeowners’ association.
Yet, despite these minor issues, Pioneer Title facilitated a clean, efficient home purchase for me. Never once did they make me want to tear my hair out, nor did they ever make me want to swipe the pen from their hands and do it all myself.
