Squealin Pig BBQ

So disappointing.
$ 40 later and our dogs won’t even touch the burnt bones, and I say bones, because there is hardly any meat! For a place that is supposed to be about barbecue, they could have purchased a better cut at a local grocery store. On top of the unfortunate meat, the beans… The beans weren’t even cooked all the way through, the coleslaw is just cabbage, and the customer service is just as bland as both the beans and the coleslaw! So unfortunate, wouldn’t give a single star if I didn’t have to.

The food was good. Not souther bbq good, but pretty damn fine. Better than others I have had in Boise.
I gave it a lower rating because the guy was smoking and cooking, but he did put it out while making the sandwiches. There was also a fly filled strip hanging there.

Super bummed! We walked over from our apartment because we were craving BBQ and when we walked up we were greeted by the owner and his daughters (?). We stood there for 5 minutes while they leveled out their deck. When we asked if they were open he said yes and asked what we would like. We said he pulled pork sandwich and corn and his exact words were «yeah I don’t feel like doing that». We were a little stunned and not sure if we misunderstood him. He said to us that he didn’t like people sampling his food. So we left because he was a jerk. I am still in shock!
