Stillwater Float Center

This was my first float experience and despite not really knowing what to expect from it I was very impressed with Stillwater Float Center’s operation. Everything from booking, to pre-​soak prep, to the float experience itself was super smooth and professional. The first time float discount makes it even more appealing for anyone on the fence to trying sensory deprivation.

After reading the Review of the Day for Sillwater, I added myself to their mailing list in hopes of a good deal. I was excited when a nearly half-​price email was sent out, and quickly booked my visit online — a feature I love.
The location is great, central and easy access. The atmosphere is awesome, very simple décor with a peaceful mood. Their was only one gal working, which was fine because I didn’t see/​hear any other customers during my visit, and she was nice. However, I found her to be unprofessional. She was very casual in conversation, using slang, and was wearing a tshirt and basketball shorts. That took away from the atmosphere.
She showed me to my room and stumbled through an explanation of the tank/​the process, then let me be.
The rooms are a little small for the very large tanks, but the shower was great (after the water finally got warm).
I did not enjoy my float experience, although I don’t attest that to this company. My joints felt heavy the whole time so I was uncomfortable, and I ended up with water in my eye and my mouth — NOT pleasant.
After my float, I nearly fell trying to walk over and grab a towel. The water took a long time to heat up again, so I was left standing and shivering for a few minutes. I love that they have shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the showers!
Upon leaving, the service was even less professional. I work in sales and understand that you must earn the right to try and sell someone, so I was uncomfortable with her spending 5 minutes trying to push a package on me. I then had to remind her of my coupon, because she attempted to charge me full price.
Not impressed with much here, so I won’t be returning or recommending.

This place was great. Jared was incredible nice and very informative. I was overly shocked how relaxing the place ended up being. Once I got in the pod it was a bit weird at first to be floating there. After about 5 minutes is when you really start to enjoy it. It felt like I was in there all afternoon and the person forgot to notify me to get out. That was not the case. Time stands still and your skin… feels amazing afterwards! The place was an overall wonderful experience and i will be going back very shortly.

I had my first float here last week, as it was a «bucket list» item for me, and it was extremely relaxing. I left ffeling, loose, limer, peaceful, and «connected». The owner was very nice, the facility was very clean, and overall it was a fun experience. Highly recommended!

This was definitely different than anything I’ve ever tried before. You basically float in a pod of fancy salt water for an hour, with your choice of music or silence, lights or darkness, and an open or closed pod. At first, it had a bit of a «sci-​fi» feel to it. But once I started floating, it was magnificent! After the float, I felt an overwhelming feeling of relaxation and weightlessness. I felt like I had just been messaged for hours and at the same time slept for an entire day.
The facility was extremely clean and the owner was friendly and helpful. Floating can be expensive, so I recommend signing up on the email list, as they email coupons and deals every so often. Overall, this was a tremendously relaxing and refreshing experience.

Tried my first float today and what a wonderful experience. Not sure what I expected but whatever it was, this certainly exceeded anything I could imagine. The venue is super clean and well put together and, most importantly to a germo-​phobe like me, über clean. One of the owners, Jerrod, was incredibly nice, informative and made me feel very comfortable. I came out of the float feeling light and relaxed and glad they had thought of all the amenities! The tea after was a nice finishing touch and I enjoyed sitting and chatting with him and his wife. They really know what customer service is and I’m so glad to support a business like this in Boise!
Highly recommend… great way to kick off the new year!
