DESERVESZEROSTARS Easily the WORST rental experience I have ever had. The facilities themselves are relatively nice, but the management will make you seriously consider homicide. The apartment manager will make life unbearable. This is the first time I have actually taken the effort to review anytyhing in an effort to save other people some unnecessary grief. To illustrate a few examples of the trials and tribulations I experienced while living in these apartments. Any packages too large to fit in apartment mailboxes are signed for by managment in as a «convenience» for tenants and kept in the office. What is inconvenient is that the management is too often MIA or simply too busy smoking to be bothered to let you in the office. If and when you are able to reach the office where your packages have been stored, on more than one occasion I was told it was not there despite having a FedEx tag on my door saying the contrary. Most of the«managment team» were rude and acted«put out» when asked to put in maintenance requests for things like a runny faucet. The amount of effort to get these people to do even their most basic part of their jobs was like trying to part the seas. The entire experience was negative but moving out was the most painful. Plan on signing over your entire deposit plus fighting them on why you shouldn’t pay more. Personally, I think they consider these fees Christmas bonuses. I’ve always received my security deposit back minus the standard cleaning fees, but at the Lodge at Maple Grove they took everything and tried to get me to pay more. They tried to claim all these special carpet-cleaning treatments, but refused to supply an itemized receipt upon request. Fortunately, I had before and after pics of the apartment they could not refute. Essentially, I had to threaten litigation to get them to drop the bogus«add-on» fees, but they did keep the security deposits totalling almost $ 800. You must be joking, $ 800 to clean less than 600 square feet? In short, decent amenities and location, but definitely not worth the headaches. I would strongly reconsider any ideas staying at the Lodge at Maple Grove.
