I give the street level bar a two star and the basement, «Crowbar» a four star. Went to Graineys on a Sunday night so of course it was slow. The bartender didn’t seem to know how to make a mojito and it tasted really weak. The music was a weird mixture of country and oldies which doesn’t suit my tastes. I would be interested in going back when it’s busy and they have music, but overall I wasn’t impressed. The basement was awesome! Went on a Saturday around 10pm and they had a live DJ and a great happy hour! Lots of people were dancing and everybody was having a good time. This place is super dark inside with minimal lighting which made for a cool atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back!

Great bar with 3 different atmosphere for each«floor». Also only bar in downtown i have found that sells Rainer so gotta love that! Although sometimes charges cover, usually when bands play, so understandable. Can get a little out there crowd sometimes.

Sexist management. Was really excited when my friends told me of a party being thrown here in support of women’s rights. Today I come to find out management backed out at the last minute. I will not support a business that supports sexism. SYPF!

Cool place to hang out but I don’t like having to pay the $ 5 cover just to go get a couple drinks and check it out. Would go there more often if it didn’t always have the cover.

It kind of sucks that they charge money at the door to get in on Saturdays because they have live bands playing.

Great food, including the buffalo chicken burger. Great beer menu. TVs for football and waitresses were real cool.

I am sorry I did not discover this place sooner. Must have been because of the days prior to the smoking ban. The upstairs seems to be more for those looking for live music and a relaxed environment while the basement is for those who love to dance with the DJs. The servers do a great job keeping track with prompt service and accuracy. Only been here a couple of times but hope to stop in more often when the time allows.

Grainey’s is a go-to. I especially love spending time there now that it’s non-smoking. I love the difference in atmosphere between upstairs and downstairs. They seem to usually have a band in one location and DJs in the other. Usually doesn’t take long to get served, even when they’re slammed. Great place to dance your ass off!

Only $ 1 off at happy hour? No wonder your bar is empty. I ask her what her best cocktail is and she says, «pineapple juice and malibu.» Really? Never asked us if we wanted more drinkage… just meh.
